  1. Same here…. Booked over a year ago. Wonderful itinerary. Cruise was sold out, too.

  3. I just received an email from Oceania canceling our Riveria Barcelona to Rome June 10-17 2024 sailing. It seems the ship will be repositioning from Asia to the Mediterranean. It cannot use the Suez Canal/ Red Sea, so will sail around Africa. It is my understanding that all Riviera Cruises May 14 to June 17 are cancelled. Full refunds were offered.

  5. No, I didn’t receive an Excursion PDF for Barcelona to Rome either…. Maybe because I booked it over a year out. I kept OL on that one as the price increase was greater than the Caribbean cruise. Barcelona to Rome is a 7 day cruise. It includes some of our favorite ports and also a few new ones on our list. We are including 3 extra days in Barcelona and Rome. This group is very helpful to us O newbies. Thanks to All. 😊
  6. Thank y’all for trying to help me. I am happy with what I booked with the excursion credit. I saw the earlier comment about the 25% discount package and played around on the O site. That is how I saw the pricing glitch. This will be my first O cruise in January with another one booked in the summer Barcelona to Rome.
  7. Thank you for trying to help me. O just sent me the Excursions PDF. It doesn’t look like a SM Shore Excursion Package is offered for my cruise.

  9. Thank you. No, I didn’t receive an Excursion PDF with my booking, but I will request it now. The O Rep tried entering the new excursion for me, but the $298 total showed up on her end. That’s why she said it must be a glitch…. Something about the change from OL to SM. Funny thing is that the math worked out to the 25% discount once all 4 excursions priced together. First 3 were already purchased with the $800 credit and a little cash.
  10. I have a SM booking with an $800 Shore excursion credit. I have booked 3 excursions so far to use up the credit. Yesterday I tried adding a 4th one online. The price came up in cart as $0 tour price for each of us (Shore Excursion Total $0). However, the cart total was $298 ($149 twice). I called O just now thinking that perhaps this is the 25% discount??? The O rep said my cruise doesn’t offer the 25% discount and the online number must be a glitch when they switched from OL to SM. Anyone else have this issue?
  11. Hope this helps you. We were on the Viking Sea in July 2022 which docked at Fusina. I contacted (email) the ship directly (phone number and email in your cruise documents) to inquire where to go for embarkation. At that time, the cruise terminal at Maritima was used for check in and we were bused to the ship at Fusina ( commercial port). I wonder if Viking is doing the reverse for disembarkation? Viking Sea responded promptly to my inquiry.
  12. We were on the Silhouette January 30 sailing and had a 6:45pm MDR reservation. We arrived a few minutes early and there was a single long line. I went up to the hostess to inquire if there was a separate check in line for reservations. She said no, only this one line. It took 45 minutes to get through the line and the same hostess now told me my reservation was cancelled as a no show. She then gave me a pager and told us to wait in the bar. My husband asked to speak to a manager. The manager eventually did seat us but said they were not honoring reservations tonight as it was a full cruise. Ridiculous.
  13. The plate was not dirty. The lobster tail was presented in the shell where the smear is located. The waiter immediately removed the meat from the shell and placed it where you see it in the photo. The shell was then removed by the waiter. However, a little piece of the shell (by the rice) is still on the plate. I waited until the waiter left the area before taking the photo.
