We (4 adults) will be sailing on the Celebrity Summit on 1/15/20 arriving in St. Kitts at 9:00 am / departing at 6:00 pm. We are debating between a 4 hour group tour of both islands followed by a few hours at the beach or renting a car to tour St. Kitts followed by beach time at the Marriott. The second option is cheaper and allows for more time at the beach, but we would miss out on seeing Nevis. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Has anyone heard when the Pearl will return to service following it's mechanical problems in Barcelona and subsequent cancellation of the July 5th cruise?
-
Thank you very much for the input. I think that we will plan to pick it up in Cannes.

We received a 5 dinner SDP for our transatlantic cruise on the Pearl as a booking incentive. I just tried to make reservations and see that Cagney’s, Le Bistro, and La Cocina all indicate that pricing is “a la carte”. Only Moderno and Teppanyaki list $0 in the pricing. They are all listed under the SDP options. Can someone please explain how this works? Thank you!

We are in Cannes on 10/16/19 on the Norwegian Pearl and looking to rent a car for the day to Eze and St Paul de Vence. We have been to both before, but it has been several years. We have an option of picking up the car in either Cannes or Antibes ...which is much cheaper! We have heard that Antibes is a great place to visit, but we are wondering if the logistics of getting there is worth the cost savings and time.

We had a bungalow over the New Years Holiday. We did not read our letter until the night before the Coco Cay stop, so there were very few choices left and we ended up in the second row. That said, we really enjoyed it, but did not use it as much as we thought we would. The beach was very unattractive during low tide with large patches of sea weed, so we went over to the area near the cabanas to swim and play beach games. There were plenty of chairs available over there, so would likely just save the money next time. You ordered your food in advance and they delivered it “take out fashion” at the time you requested. The tram dropped us off near our bungalow, so minimal walking for your mother, particularly if you have one near the restrooms.

We are returning to cruising after a hiatus. I read somewhere in these posts that the soda package is included with a balcony room reservation. Can anyone confirm this?

Thank you for your responses. We both love to swim and be outside, however I am concerned that it may be too cold on a transatlantic cruise to enjoy the pool deck unless there is a solarium. Any thoughts on eastbound in April versus westbound in October as far as the weather is concerned?

Debating between the Celebrity Silouhette (which has a solarium pool) and NCL Getaway for an April TA cruise. the base price is the same, but NCL comes with perks. Any thoughts?

Do the prices tend to go up as you near the sailing or go down due to demand?

Traveling with a group of 8. Thinking about buying a refreshment package for each and then buying bottles of alcohol on board for those who want to spike their drinks (only a few in the group drink). Is this possible ?

We are traveling on the Mariner 12/31 with our 3 children and their SOs. I was hoping for an internet free vacation and more family time since we now live in different cities, but my DH thinks that he needs it and the rest will follow suit . I missed the Cyber Monday specials, so am I better off to wait until I get on board or has anyone experienced a last minute deal or a Holiday special? Also, can we get a 4 device package and assign one party in each cabin a login?
-
It states in their policy that you can bring 2 bottles of wine / cabin on board with you to drink in your cabin. They also state that any additional bottles will be held by them and returned to your cabin on the last day of sailing. Does anyone know approximately what time that will be? In other words, are we able to consume it the last night?

We are looking at doing a transatlantic cruise next fall and debating between the NCL Pearl (better itinerary) and HAL Nieuw Statendam (new ship). Any suggestions are appreciated.

We will be there over New Years and hear that some of the new areas will be available then. Just rented a bungalow and would like to know how close they are to the Perfect Day in Coco Cay activities. Thank you.

I keep reading about Black Friday specials. We are cruising 12/31/18 - 1/4/19 on the Mariner. Is it reasonable to wait to see if there are any deals for on board activities or shore excursions that typically are available as a Black Friday special or should we book these activities as they become available 90 days prior to sailing?

We are taking out adult children and their SOs on a cruise this winter. We are thinking about renting either a cabana or a bungalow for the day in Coco Cay. Will they allow that many adults in the area? If not, can we buy a "day pass" to accommodate our full group? Which of the two options would you recommend? Thank you for your suggestions.

How early prior to the cruise can these reservations be made?
-
Thank you for all of your wonderful suggestions. :):)

We are a group of six, one with limited mobility. We are tentatively planning to rent a car for part of the day. What are the must see places? How is the parking near downtown if we want to spend a portion of our day there?:cool:

We are a group of 6, one with limited mobility. We are tentatively planning to rent a van and wonder which route we should take and what highlights we should plan to see. We are in port from 6:00 am to 6:30pm. Thank you for your suggestions.

Labadee or Coco Cay...which is better

Looking at these 3 ships for a holiday cruise. We have a group of 8 (ages 23-64), some of which are first time cruisers. Which would you choose and why?
Which Ship to take around the Horn
in South America

We are looking at taking a 14 night trip around Cape Horn and would like advice as to which of the mega ships we should take. We are considering the Diamond Princess, the NCL Star, and HAL Westerdam. They are similarly priced and the itineraries are nearly identical. Any suggestions as to which one wins out would be appreciated. I believe that the Westerdam has a covered pool which may be a plus on cold and rainy days.
