On a facebook page, someone mentioned that on a Chinese website that details and deployment for Spectrum will be released in May 2018. Not sure if it's true and if its allowed, I can post the link to the website (not facebook) showing it.
Ooh I’d be interested in the link!

They have not bothered to reply so credit card dispute lodged on 22 February so will see what happens with that.
:rolleyes::( And so it continues....
Good luck!

Good to hear that.
At this stage I have been offered $80 OBC on a future P and O cruise within the next 12 months. I have declined this because it is very unlikely I will cruise P and O again. What I have done is to ask them to apply it to a Princess cruise as they are owned by the same company. Probably a bit cheeky but will see what they come back with.
Just curious as to how you got on with P&O? ;)

Thanks for the feedback!
I think we are inclined to go for the partially obstructed oceanview cabin category - that way we get more natural light and more of a view.
The floor to ceiling window will be great to have!
Thanks again :)

Bumping this as it fell off the first page

Hello again!
I am still looking into the fully and partially obstructed oceanview cabins onboard Oomsterdam.
I have narrowed it down to cabins 4100, 4099, 4071 and 4072.
I did a search on the forums and a couple cruise cabins websites, and it appears 4099 and 4071 have better views, compared to 4100 and 4072.
Both cabins 4099 and 4071 appear to have a lot of natural light, and some sort of view in between the life boats. I however cannot tell which has a better view, from looking at photos - cabin 4099 or 4071. 4099 is fully obstructed and 4071 partially obstructed.
Has anyone stayed in any of these cabins and can share their experiences?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you :)

We used Alberts this last April. It was absolutely great. I highly recommend them. We were in an SSV which was nice.
I only just saw this now. Thanks for the feedback! Now to make a decision;)

I am pleased to say P&O has offered a token gesture of goodwill, which we have gladly accepted.
Best of luck Datone with your credit card disputes.

I decided to send yet another email last weekend and the Guest service manager apologised for the length of delay and advised that they would be contacting all passengers affected this week.

Thanks, I’ll check if those cabins are available!
-
I will have to have a proper look at the obstructed cabins available and see if there are any with more natural light and some sort of view.

Thanks for the replies - I had forgotten all about that website!
Now to decide whether to take the plunge and book a forward facing cabin or go for a guarantee cabin

Hi,
We are looking into the possibility of going to Alaska next year and looking into cabins. While we like having a balcony, we are considering getting an oceanview cabin.
I see the partially and fully obstructed oceanview cabins have a floor to ceiling window. These are currently a good price and I have seen photos - I like the idea of having more natural light, without having a balcony per se. Are there any unobstructed oceanview cabin categories that have them as well?
I see forward facing cabins 6001 and 6002 are available for the sailing we're looking at - what sort of obstructed view do these have?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated! :D

Good grief, I don't know why they are making it so hard.
^^ ditto :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

The disappointment with P and O keeps coming. After battling to get the $200 OBC promised, I now find that they have billed my credit card $80.88. My final statement given to me on the last morning shows we spent $199.93 leaving a credit of 7c. Nothing was purchased after this. Tomorrow's phone call to them will be interesting - let's just say I hope I don't have to battle for this to be refunded.
What a pain. I hope you get it all sorted!

I so hope Spectrum comes to Australia! :D:D

I sent P&O a follow up message on Thursday via messenger after the last two messages went unanswered, and got a response earlier.
My feedback has been passed onto their Guest Relations team, and one of the Guest Relations specialists will be in contact.
So, I guess that's something ;)
MITSUGIRLY has a JEWEL of a time on my 1st RC cruise in years!
