This is a great list! My mouth is watering, and I am currently scouring my bar cart looking for ingredients. I love a good pain killer, a good strong bahama mama, and a dark and stormy. In no particular order ;p Also while my husband and I were in ATL last year, we ate at Brazilian steakhouse and we were served a spanish liqueur by the name of Licor 43. I instantly feel in love with it! They have a website dedicated to recipes, but I prefer it straight and cold.

Thanks so much zqvol! When you dine the people that don't have the dining package will be billed for their dinner. You can always buy dining packages for your daughters if you are going to take them to dinner with you every time you use the dining package. It will end up saving you about the cost of one meal. -
Hi everybody! We are booked on the Getaway in July. I am able to book our dining reservations and had a quick question. My husband and I are the ones who are receiving the specialty dining, we are also taking our daughters and will be a party of 4. When I booked Modernos and Cagneys, I selected party size of 4, the cost comes to $0.00. Is this right, or once we actually eat, will the charge come to our shipboard account. Just confused as to why there was no charge for them.

Thanks for taking us along!! We are considering booking this same itinerary in July. We love the Getaway! Sailed her on the eastern itinerary a few years back.

I think I read something on this yesterday on the NCL forum. It was talking about how persons staying in the Haven can skip to the from of the line for the ferry. Either way, I think it's a great idea!

Loved your review of Bermuda! We are seriously considering booking the Escape out of New York in July. We were originally booked on the Getaway on the Western Caribbean route, but it didn't have me all that excited, and then there was the incident with the explosive device in Cozumel. The pictures of your and Hubbys private beach you stumbled upon were gorgeous! Now after your review, I'm craving Bermuda and a painkiller ;p Love those drinks!

I agree with KristieB! It was my favorite thing of the evening after dinner to walk the Waterfront. My family and I sat out there many evening of our last cruise on the Getaway.I love the Waterfront. It’s not just outdoor seating for bars and restaurants. It goes almost all the way around the ship. I loved going out and walking it after dinner.Sent from my iPhone using Forums

It's such a great day at Blue Lagoon. Something for everyone. We loved the aquatic park there in the water. As someone else mentioned shade is limited, but there are places you can find shade. It may not be in one of the shaded chair/lounge areas. The dining area is completely covered also. At the dock, there is a schedule letting you know when the boats are returning back to port. Also, when we were there, it also told what other visitors from other ships were visiting.

Loving your review! Hawaii is such a special place to me. I always thought it would be neat to do one of these cruises and experience all the islands instead of one or two at a time. I have the same picture of me and my daughters in the lava tube. The Road to Hana was definetly one of our favorite days ever too!

I am so sorry to hear of your Fathers diagnosis. Many prayers for him! You have such a knack for writing reviews, I just love yours. I've enjoyed your trip so far! We forgot our clothes one vacation, I left them laying on their hangers on top of the dogs kennel. I remembered when we got to Savannah, GA  I would have gotten a laugh from the no underwear too...well not if they were mine :D haha! You are a trooper to get off at those ports and look for them.

I am loving your review! My dream is go on an Alaskan cruise. Every year, I plan on it and then the islands just call my name. Excited to see what excursions you and your family planned for the week. You have a beautiful family!

I'm following as we sail on the Escape this summer! Loved Gambee's reviews. Tons of photos and information. Got it all wrote down :D The slides are the same as the Getaway. No jewelry ( this includes simple wedding bands and stud earrings) and no metal/plastic pieces visible to go down.

We did this last summer when we were in Nassau on the Getaway. It was a kinda long commute over to the island. About 40-45 minutes over. It is a nice ride though. Tons of beautiful mansions and yachts. I can't remember how long we were exactly in port for Nassau. It was nice. A bit pricey, as we opted for the inflatables area. Loungers in the shade were tough to come by and I remember we had to wait in line for life jackets as those are required out in the water where the slides and bouncy things are. It was quite crowded. I think there was a Carnival ship there with us to. The meal was a decent typical beach BBQ.

If it were me and my family, I think we would opt to stay at Hyatt at MCO. This would allow for a few more hours of sleep. :)

Yes, just as others have said your room steward can hook you up. But what I did our past cruise was invest in a steamer. These are 100% completely allowed in your stateroom. Our room steward would even wrap my cord up and store it for me if I didn't pick it up before leaving for dinner. I purchased mine from Wal-Mart for under $25.00. No wrinkles is a necessity for me...lol.

Lovely family! Wonderful pictures! So glad to come across this. We are doing the same itinerary in July, but on the Escape. We sailed the Getaway also! It's a fabulous ship!

Such a great review! We are hoping to book for July 2018 for Bermuda when NCL takes the Escape there. Your pictures were absolutely stunning. I've already started taking some notes from your posts and others who have chimed in. Silly question though, I know you are docked anywhere from 2 1/2-3 days. Do they allow you to come and go all through the night or is there a designated "onboard" time?

Glad I came up on your question. It's our first Western itinerary for us next summer so this will be all new territory for us. I have our cabana booked for Harvest Caye. I think for Honduras we are planning Maya Key Private Island retreat through NCL. I am up in arms on what to do for Costa Maya and Cozumel. I've seen many people recommend the ones mentioned here to. Thinking very highly of Maya Chan Beach. It looks like so much fun and I have seen others trip reports and the pics from there. Cozumel I have no clue!! lol....there will be 4 other ships in port that day with us. So I'm hoping to come up with something soon.

Can't wait to read more! I have always wanted to do a cruise out of New Orleans :) Your report so far has me wanting to book, sooner than later...lol. I sure wish my lunch today could be one of those hot dogs from O'Sheehan's.

Thanks for your feedback!! :) We are flying into FLL in July because its cheaper for us too!! I was trying to decide how to get to POM when I read your post. Checking on them now for us. Also did you use them to get back to FLL once you departed the ship?

GaPearl :) Just found your review this morning! I was on my way to work out and then found myself on page 9...lol. We are sailing on the Escape next year too. Bermuda is on my list!! Taking notes as I follow you now.

Can't wait to hear more!
Getaway Margaritaville
in Norwegian Cruise Line

From what others who have stayed in The Haven have posted, yes thats true. I think I remember one post also saying there was some other dining option being half off. I'm sorry I can't recollect which one. I'll go over the posts I have recently read and see if I can find. We are on the Getaway in July, and I am excited for Margaritaville. Our last time we sailed on her, it was still the Cuban restaurant. Enjoy your time in the Haven Owner's Suite.
