I'm curious if this discrepancy is on slots, table games or both. Also, did you receive any large payouts? I don't know if RCI gives play chips but did you use any? Did you buy chips/credits using the new promotion as I heard the bonus chips do not count towards status.

The mistake has to be made in the hosts calculations of the table games because one can see slot points on the machines. I didn’t receive any large payouts or use any sort of promo chips.

Remember the on board hosts told me how many points I had.

  2. I sailed twice in November. First cruise I accumulated 1500 points. So the second cruise I know I needed 1000 more for prime since it would be last sailing for the season. I played tables and slots. On the second last day the host said I was short 2 points. No problem. I went to the nearest slot and acquired 20 more points to be sure. I went back to the host and she said yes I have reached prime for next season. I made her double and triple check. Her assistant even did the calculations one time to ensure.

Now i call CR to confirm status and they say I’m short 1 point. I escalated which meant they emailed Miami. I got a response today saying tough luck. Your short a point and that I’m responsible for calculating my own points not their hosts. Their suggestion was to do a short sail to accumulate the balance. Very annoyed.

  3. So do we know if there is any condition on the original buy in amount ($2000)?  Is there any requirement to play any of this? If not, you could buy multiple amounts of this, get your bonus, and then cash out the original. You then play with only the bonus. Something doesn’t seem right. I’m leaving on Harmony next Sunday and is very tempted to try this but a little reserved. I called Casino royale and even a supervisor couldn’t answer my questions.

I’ve posted this in the casino forum but no replies yet.

  4. Yes that’s all you will get for now. However there are some “tier” perks you will receive. On top of your free cruise certificate, you will also now get one annual free cruise on any ship, any time (except holidays), for 8 days or less.

  5. Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum, and new to cruises—I'll be going on my first cruise on 4/30 out of Miami on Royal Caribbean (Enchantment of the Seas). I've done my best to research and answer my own questions, but still have a few things I'm hoping you all can help me with.

I'm very interested in the perk that gets the 5% casino convenience fee waived.

It seems like the only way to get this perk is to have Club Royale status. My understanding is that the Club Royale program changed recently, and the qualification for status is to accrue 1000 points in the casino. Status in the program is indicated by a sticker on your SeaPass card, which grants you free drinks and the fee waiver when in the casino.

Does all that sound correct? Anything I'm misunderstanding or missing out on? Are there other ways to get Club Royale status?

    Given that:

Do you all know if it's possible to get the 5% fee waived without being in Club Royale?

Is there anyway to get the sticker on your SeaPass without having Club Royale status?

If Club Royale membership is the only way, I may try to go for that.

Can I get Club Royale status+perks while on my first trip, or is it only available on subsequent cruises?

Say, for example, I gamble enough to earn 1000 points on the first evening, will I get Club Royale and associated perks for the remainder of the cruise?

What is the rate that points accrue? I read on here that playing $5k in slots = 1,000 points, i.e. $5 = 1 point. What if I'm playing table games? Can be points be earned in other ways?

Sorry for the million questions. Thank you in advance for any help!!

You can also get that perk if you have status with other land casinos. I don’t know them all but I got those perks from being a high level M life member.

  6. Yes all our reservations are linked. I can see that when I log in to the cruise planner. I didn’t know I could talk to someone in the MDR around 2p. Do you know what floor? Our last cruise there were staff outside the doors answering questions but not allowing anyone in on the first day.

  7. I’m looking for some advice. We have three cabins booked for a total of 8 people. One room had to be booked thru a travel agent because it’s “Dialysis at Sea”. Most of the party is elderly and first time cruisers. We all really want to do 5:30 traditional dining. When I booked (a year in advance) we were waitlisted for it. I was told that it hadn’t even opened yet for reservations. The TA was able to “override” the one waitlist and put the one cabin for 5:30. The other two are still waitlisted. How could only one go through when all reservations are linked? I called Royale and they said there is nothing they can do because the 5:30 is overbooked. How can it go from not being open yet for resos to being overbooked? Our sailing is HOS in November 2018. Any advice on how we can all sit together for 5:30 traditional?

  8. Do the Columbus Cove beach bungalow rentals come with golf cart transport? I know that suites guests get the transport for the other areas that’s exclusive to them. I read on another post that if you rent a cabana at CC you simply show your receipt at the golf cart waiting area they will drive you. Can anyone confirm this?
