I’m on Mariner doing a B2B started on May 7. I can’t believe that people are packing themselves in elevators, no common sense !  One lady rolls in with her scooter and tells her 7 friends, come on in there plenty of room, as the wheel from her scooter is on my husbands foot. Not to mention there were already a few people in there.

On a positive note, Bermuda was beautiful, perfect weather!

I just saw on Fb group that Cap Tobias has reinstated a mask mandate indoors on Mariner for remainder of the cruise, can you confirm?

That's new because it hasn't been.  Port visits to PC can be at other piers and have been but it's rare for two RCI ships to homeport on the same day.  We much prefer T1.

Oh I agree! I have a sailing on Mariner booked for June and was not aware we'd be going out of any terminal other than 1. I found out via the roll call group that we were leaving from CT5--I was not too happy with that as I saw on the May 2nd embarkation from CT5 Mariner guests had over a 2 hour wait due to computer issues in the old terminal.

CT 1 is so easy to go through both embarkation and debarkation.

    I don't think that happens.

It does indeed happen. Happened this past Monday, May 2nd and will continue to happen for the next several weeks.

Monorail81--Indy has taken over CT 1 so Mariner has been bumped to CT 5. Only on days where Indy will not be using CT 1 will Mariner get to move back over there. Schedule is only released through June, so we'll see.

Is there bar seating at Boleros and Playmakers?  Last time I was onboard you could not sit at the bar in those venues.  Boarding Tuesday

Molly, not sure when the last time you were on was, but I was on in late December and there was no bar seating at either Boleros or Playmakers. Only Casino, Schooner, and the Pub. Ellingtons has bar seating in the club hours late at night.

Haven't seen this posted yet, but it looks like RCCL has extended the current mask mandates through April 14.  I was really hoping with the dramatic drop in Omicron, and the new info coming out about the real efficacy of masks that they would rethink this before our April 8th Wonder Cruise.  Seems premature to go ahead and extend the indoor mask mandate another 60 days.

    Thoughts?

Where did you see this announcement? I've got cruises scheduled for March and April and didn't see any new emails about this today. The latest extension on the website is through Feb 14th for Florida sailings--I didn't check other departure ports.

"This includes at venues reserved for vaccinated guests only. Note that this policy is in place for all sailings departing on or before February 14, 2022, at which point it will be reevaluated."

What is "the suite lounge"?  Does it apply to Jr Suites?  Does the Radiance have one?

Suites Lounge is for Grand Suites and above. It includes Hors d'oeuvres and snacks as well as drinks for suites passengers. It does not apply to Jr Suites. Radiance does have a Suites Lounge according to the RC website although current deck plans say it is still called the Concierge Lounge/Club

  7. Royal Caribbean filed a trademark application today for "EMUSTER". Seems as though they may be trying to move towards electronic muster drills. No information is given beyond the name.

Thoughts on how this will be accomplished? How will compliance be assured?

Personally, I think they'll probably move towards the prerecorded video procedure that is in place on Oasis class ships, except they possibly make everyone watch it in their stateroom.

    Fewer check-in agents needed.

When checking in at Canaveral a few months ago in June, they checked us in before even going through security screening. When we went up the escalator to the seating area, we were already checked in and they had maybe 3-5 check in stations for the "old" way of checking in. Very fast, but very different from the "old way" of getting Seapasses at the desk, filling out the health screening form, showing passports etc.
