I didn't know they tendered there.
They did for a short time then took off towards the Keys for the rest of the day.

no I won in Feb, for my Apr 22 cruise
Gotcha. I thought you said above that you had just bid. We are on the same cruise.

my upgrade to aqua would have been at least $1000. more than the $150 I tossed at them. Shocked when I won
Enjoy it! Just making sure you bid this morning, correct?

We very rarely get involved with move up, but if and when we think we might, I note the fares for the upgraded stateroom(s) I would consider at the time that I am booking the original stateroom selected. I then follow that category(s) fares from that initial booking time, and the bid I would enter for any upgraded stateroom would typically be lower than, but would not exceed the difference between what I paid and what the lowest fare offered was for that category. Once entered I would not change it. If I get it, great, if not, no loss. But in this manner I am assured I would not overpay with the bid.
Right. This is exactly what we do. I check prices daily and know that sometimes if I want to upgrade, it is just cheaper to do so without bidding. This time around, we sail on Monday and some interesting categories have opened up.

We just bid $150 each to go from a cheap veranda to aqua and won it!!
Very interesting. I decided to bid again and upped a few categories after you posted on the roll call this morning and I checked inventory. When I put our bids in originally weeks ago, we bid $300 a person for Aqua class and that is where it is now. Currently in an obstructed verandah.

Do most of you come in with your best bid initially or change them pretty frequently?

Is there a source anywhere that shows calories for Celebrity menu items?

Perfect! Thanks so much!

Love MSC and would not hesitate to book them again. Have been on several as well as every other cruise line numerous times.

Does the Celebrity Silhouette offer coconut water for sale? If so, do you know how much? No beverage package.

No HAL ships have it anymore.
Thanks! I was thinking of the Prinsendam and Maasdam and now realize they are no longer in the fleet.

Have cruised a LOT but never done a Transatlantic. I know the weather will be iffy and leans more toward cold and windy than calm seas with the sun shining. Any special clothing to take? How do you dress for a TA cruise?

Lots of tips to keep in mind. Did you hear about the group of cruisers on the NCL Dawn earlier this week?

Carnival ships I believe as well as some Princess and a few Holland Americas.

I know there is a tourism area at the cruise port but do they offer tours you can book once you get off the ship? Or what would be the cost to hire a taxi for a few hours to see the sights outside of the city? I have read to make sure the driver speaks English but have not seen any mention of costs other than it is much cheaper than the ship.

Can you just do a day here and there or does it have to be consecutive or for the entire cruise?
-
Does anyone know the cost of internet if you do not purchase a package ahead of time? Can you just do a daily rate when needed? Cost of the two devices, premium? Captain's Club Elite gets a 30 percent discount I assume off of the daily rate, yes?

That's awesome! Congrats!

Does Celebrity hold back some spots for booking on ship? When an excursion is sold out (before sailing), is it really is sold out?

We were supposed to call there today. However, the Captain was unable to “back us into the stall”, even with the assistance of a tug, and decided to cancel the call.
Today, the Magnifica is anchored and no tendering because of the winds. The World Cruise Poesia is sitting there. My friend onboard is not happy.

Sailed on Sinfonia about seven or eight years ago, It was our first MSC cruise in Europe. We enjoyed it. Mostly Italians onboard so be prepared for the lack of waiting in line etc. We never met any other Americans until the disembarkation and found out there were only 20 onboard. It is a smaller ship but we enjoyed it. The service was very good also.

Sinfonia, Seashore, Meraviglia, Divina and Seaside.

In my post above (No. 5), it looks like it is combinable. Hence, my question as to how to get it. How do you know if it is a flash sale versus a normal sale?
Wi-Fi
Discount applied to the total price of the Wi-Fi package or upgrade purchased. Combinable with the pre-cruise advantage only.

Hi, this was a blast from the past. I honestly don't know where I would find the pictures. I see above the links are not active any longer. I am sure some people could order a bottle from the ship and serve. We didn't - wink, wink. The wine we were able to bring onboard with no issues.
