Have dinner at Vintages sometime if you haven't already tried it. The assorted tapas are a pleasant surprise. We get the 7 item option for, I think, $11 and it's enough for both of us for a meal. We actually skipped formal night for the first time ever just a few weeks ago and ate at Vintages that night on Allure. We've eaten there on Oasis, too, with just as much satisfaction.
Unfortunately Vintages has drastically changed their menu. The options to order are about 8 items, no more 5 page menu. We never tried it on Allure and regret it. Would love to have tried all the options on that old menu. They did tell us we could order paella and a few different croquettes that were not on the new menu.

I am sad to report that this was the very worst Meet and Mingle I have ever been to. How can you meet and mingle in a show room where the center is an ice skating rink? I understand it is difficult to have so many people in an event like this, but the seating arrangement and set up just was not well thought out. It really doesn't matter whose fault it was, it just needs to be done differently. We have always met people at the meet and mingle and often the captain or first officers have shown up for a brief time.
We were disappointed too that they moved us from Dazzles (much easier place to socialize) to the Ice Rink. I managed to meet a few other people during the Meet and Mingle, only because they sat near us.

A link to my photos from sailaway:
Unfortunately I had to greatly reduce the pixels in order to post them, but I still believe some of them are quite good, especially when you consider it was midnight.
Good photos. Wasn't that one of the spookiest sailaways ever? All that fog and turning in such a tight spot. Loved it!

OMG I'm cracking up over this thread.

Won second place in the scavenger hunt!
Was that much different than our CC Scavenger Hunt? Was it all in the On Air bar, on a TV screen, or did you go off hunting like we did?

We just left Sabor for lunch and yum! Pictures to follow. The margaritas were yummy. I had the jalapeno one and it was great!
Darrell loved the jalapeno margarita. He usually just drinks beer, but when we went back to Sabor later in the week, he had another one. I liked the Avocado margarita.

FYI - We left 2 guys from Russia in Vigo. I wonder what how they are making out...[/QUOTE]
I was wondering who we left behind. Such a shame, missing most of a cruise, and on top of that, not having your belongings and having to spend more money to get home. -
Yes, pretty much. Did not spend more than a few minutes there as it was crowded every night. We sat in the Viking Crown Lounge and got our drinks there. The waiters told us the first night we could go and get our appetizers and bring them into the bar. We did every night after that.
We will be Diamond on our March Adventure cruise, getting to that level on October 27th after the Oasis westbound transatlantic. We plan to enjoy the Diamond perks and visit the DL, but if it's crowded we won't stay long. Your idea sounds like the best plan.

Thank you. I guess that's why I couldn't find the menu, LOL!:D
I laughed at this cuz until a few months ago I had no idea who or what Michael Kors was. I'm so far behind the fashion curve! No way would I spend that much for a bag but I do love to window shop and browse.

Central Park tour.... Have found the gnomes!!
Good morning Ruth and Sue :D
YAY ...loved the Central Park Tour on Allure

Janey, I have been on Oasis many times and I didn't even know the gnomes existed!! I can't wait to hunt for them in two weeks!! At least I will have you on the ship to ask just in case I can't find them!! LOL
I don't remember where they are, I didn't write it down, so we'll look together. I'm just going to look for that type of plant and see if I can find them again. If Linda finds them, maybe she can tells us where they are!

The cigar deck is now open
Is it only for cigar smokers? Hubby smokes cigarettes, might be nice to have a dedicated area for a little while.

A little bit of pink among the gray :o

they let me wear my spectacles..... just as well really.... I had my eyes open (don't do white knuckle rides AT ALL). I was shaking so much when I got down..... something to tick off my bucket list....
Glad to hear they let you keep the specs on. I'm so nearsighted that if I take mine off, I won't see anything but my knees! Did you have to request to keep them on?

Had left some pink feathers and a message in the CD box by Starbucks..... the feathers have ended up in the sombrero of an animal on his desk.....
How cool is that? The presence of Pink Boa Cruisers is felt everywhere!!

So glad you are always looking up, some of the best shots come from that perspective!

Deck 7 is now a destination for me! I love flamingos and I will go search the walls to find them. Thanks for the tip.

I have my 'Big Bang Theory' notebook to hand now and all requests above have been duly noted. 'Fun with Flags' comes to mind...... ;)
