  1. I already have a couple of orders of 4-packs of beer for my stateroom. Then again, I can't have the Cheers package, as I'm the only person in our room who will have adult beverages.
  2. Ours opened late this afternoon. The wife went to pick up prescriptions, and the line of cars was 7 deep.
  3. I thought after I made the post that it would probably be too difficult to bring it up. I'd be rattled as well.
  4. That is both amazing and spooky at the same time. You tell her the story?
  5. Just checked the Oncor outage map. Over 615,000 without power. After it passed my house, it turned tornado warned in Kaufman County.
  6. Winds in this morning's storm were worse than Sunday morning. Several large limbs down at the office park that I manage. Businesses all over the place still without power, intersections with no functioning traffic lights, and it's still coming down.
  7. I’ll have to remember to take a picture of all my hats. I even culled several out a few months ago.
  8. I have volunteered at the Byron Nelson golf tournament for the past 10 years. One year, Marty caddied for Brenden Morrow in the pro-am. I had my picture taken with both of them. Last year, Marty played in the pro-am. I took his picture just after he hit his tee shot.
  9. I saw that video earlier. 5 are now confirmed dead. Pictures of the downed tree limbs from my front yard in the Tribe. Didn’t want to take away from your trip report.
  10. And now I’m losing tree limbs in my front yard.
  11. The wind in this storm right now is not fooling around.
  12. Wow. This storm is 10-15 miles north of me. I’m listening to storm spotters, and there is a wedge tornado out there with lots of power flashes. I can see nasty lightning out my back window. This one snuck up on us.
  13. Yep, wait just a second. Looking at the radar loop, it appears to be on a NW to SE trajectory. That’s an odd movement. And now looking at the NWS X feed, Anna, Melissa and Celina are in the tornado warned area. That’s definitely south from where this supercell started.
  14. Oh, and who could forget the “Eddie’s better” chant?
  15. I was at that game, too. Mike Keene was one of those character guys. We always used to watch him in pregame warmups spit out the piece of gum he was chewing in warmups and flip it into the crowd. I have to say, though, that the loudest sporting event in which I was attending was a game 7 double OT between Philly and Washington in Washington. I happened to be there for work and got myself a ticket about 5 minutes into the game. Unbelievable experience.
  16. Well, that goes without saying, but I’d much rather Dallas take care of business in regulation. In game 7 against Vegas, I took my pulse in the waning moments….let's just say my doctor would have been startled. My resting pulse is high enough as it is. I was actually in attendance for the double OT loss against the Devils in 2000 and also in the 5 OT game against Anaheim in 2003.
  17. The depth of the Stars is unbelievable. They are not afraid to throw out the 4th line, and that 4th line can even score. Nothing better than playoff hockey.
