Thanks Loony Toons, for the recap! I have enjoyed reading a recent account so close to my own departure. We are travelling from Kingsland, Ga - but have children in Savannah and visit there a lot. Isn't it great to live within driving distance of so many ports?
Feeling blessed :)

Ragen, thanks for the reply. Our trip is Dec 18th, with Cozumel and Coco Cay stops. We have heard of ships not stopping there bc of weather. Enjoying the review by your DW :)
We will be on this date as well! I too am worried about missing Coco Cay, as I really enjoyed it in the past. WAY more fun than Nassau or Freeport imho, and the reason I chose this sailing over another. I sure hope we make it.
And thanks to the OP for the detailed account! Just a week out and I am in full-on cruise prep - which means I can't get enough-lol!

Thanks for including which port the ship was docked at. Good information!

It's good to hear that you've had mostly positive experiences at this point! Nice to know which shows are good!
Can't wait to see the ice show!

I am so excited about this recap!! Our cruise is coming up in a couple of weeks, and I am craving any intel - lol!

I don't have any specific questions, but am anxious to hear of your onboard experience! We are on the Dec. 18th sailing, and I have made the mistake of reading a few recent reviews... none positive.
I do have a general question. Our cruise is now being called a "Holiday Cruise" - and I wondered what that meant. Lots of children? Extra special meals? Just wondering since we get back on the 23rd and the next cruise is an actual Christmas cruise.

We are always up bright and early, like around 11-11:30 AM.
We're night owls on vacation so we usually stay out until 2-3 AM and then sleep in unless we are in port and want to get off the ship earlier. Even then it's like 9 AM that we wake up.
HaHa! Us too! Actually, our favorite part of the day is between midnight and 3am. It's like we have the ship to ourselves! And walking outside in the moonlight with the warm wind whipping around you is one of the most magical parts of a cruise for me!
When we were on Freedom, we had one of those cantilevered hot tubs all to ourselves on several nights from about 1 to 2 am. Although once we had to move from one hot tub to another so the crew could clean :)
And we became very friendly with the night crew at Cafe Promenade. In fact, one of my favorite memories from that cruise was the night (2:30 am) the server told us to have a seat and then proceeded to bring us out plate after plate of goodies :0 Both of us had been trying to diet (what can I say - it was our first cruise and we didn't know any better!) and he quite decisively brought an end to the diet that night :D

When i was his age i already killed several men in the army, maybe he should grow up.
:D I wish there was a "like" button for this!!

I know that until the kinks are worked out and I can be assured of being able to eat at a "complimentary" restaurant and see a show EVERY NIGHT, I will not be booking any Dynamic Dining ships.
Two of the things we love most about cruising are the no-thought easy dining/entertainment experience and the friends we make at our table. The thing we avoid as much as possible is Windjammer!
Unfortunately, I foresee a future where dining will become either pre-scheduled specialty restaurants (with maybe a few lucky and/or D+ folks able to get into "complimentary" restaurants):( - or the Windjammer for us commoners.

So, was the change so that the ship would be on the same time as Cozumel? Last time I was in Cozumel, I was constantly worrying about the time, afraid that I was subtracting when I should have been adding - lol!
