Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I'll wait. I've done it before on Liberty, but that was 12 years ago. Don't think I'll need a lesson. 🤙🏽

Does anyone know the difference other than the significant price difference.
Also, does anyone know how the online, pre-cruise reservation system works for this attraction? It looks like only 8:00 AM or 7:30 PM are currently available for a cruise that is one year away. What's going on during the other times? Is this their way to fill up early/late times first, and add'l times will become available later? Thanks.

Thank you @Miaminice! Very helpful. Yes, definitely considering two nights.
And thanks for the trip report, that looks awesome!

Hi, we'll be flying to Singapore and are looking for a convenient hotel for a one (maybe two) night stay, along with transportation suggestions from the airport and then to the cruise port the next day.
A centrally-located hotel close to food, shopping, fun stuff to do, etc. would be great, but idiot-proof access to transportation (public or otherwise) and our destinations is our top priority :) Thanks!

Consider keeping an electronic vax card w/QR code on your smart phone in addition to a physical card, and be prepared to show either or both, with dates, mfg, etc synced up. Places can have different proof-of-vax rules. I prefer to minimize any chance of being denied entry.

Do you feel cruising right now is worth it?!
No. I've gone on four trips involving air travel, hotels, etc. in the past 12 months but ain't setting foot on any cruise ship anytime soon. Doesn't make any sense to me, on several levels.

I'm in Kihei on Maui right now. I was in Waikiki in October, the moment they opened the pre-travel testing program. Kona in 2019. Lost count of how many trips here, and I will keep coming. Been to Oahu's North Shore several times, but never to the Dole Plantation, nor the Polynesian Cultural Center, Pearl Harbor, etc. Been to a luau once, likely never again. Don't come here for that stuff.
Been to several Caribbean islands and all the Mexican vacation spots. I'm good with Hawaii from now on.

I haven't missed traveling at all.
Nov 2019 - Europe
Feb 2020 - San Diego
Oct, Nov 2020 - Oahu
May 2021 - Maui

Do quarantined pax continue to accrue cruise days toward loyalty levels while they remain stuck on board?

Final pymt due in less than 2 weeks for a June cruise. Flights booked. Strongly considering cancelling and vacationing on land.

Definitely the Med cruise on a large, floating amusement park. A night or two in Barcelona pre/post-cruise would be a nice bonus.

Thanks for the replies. That settles it. 😀

Planning an inter-island on POA, flying in/out of HNL with likely two nights both pre and post cruise at a Waikiki hotel, possibly HHV or something more in the middle of Kalakaua Ave.
If we don't plan on venturing out to other parts to Oahu, is it feasible to rely on shuttles, buses, ride share etc to get to/from HNL, Waikiki and the cruise terminal? I certainly won't miss the parking fees, but is it worth any logistical sacrifices? Thanks.

OK, I'm specifically interested in trip cancellation insurance covering the reason of

Can anyone offer recommendations based on cost and relatively pain-free claims processing and payout? Thx again.
Ah, nvm. Called my CC, everything's covered for this reason.

Thanks for the replies. The card program in this case is Chase Ultimate Rewards.

Anyone know or have firsthand experience with this? Will trip insurance generally cover flights, hotel, etc "purchased" w/credit card points? If so, how is value determined? Thanks.

"Where are you from and what do you do (work)?" is code for "I'm trying to size you up and judge you."

At least this will be helpful to prospective employers wanting to evaluate his judgement and intelligence whenever they Google his name. For the rest of his life.

Salt water can ruin a good dress shirt. And lame cameraman can't even get the splash. SMH.

Inside is cheaper, but I wouldn't be able to do this:

We've done something like this. In hindsight, the extra money or longer wait (within reason) is worth the peace of mind and stress-avoidance, IMO. That type of crap will be waiting for me when I return to work. YMMV.

The problem with B is that even if the smokers remain in the designated outdoor area, the smoke rarely does. Smoking should be restricted to a dinghy that's towed while out to sea.

We bring Starbucks Via packets on any trip. I don't recall getting sufficiently hot water ever being a problem, including on RCI.
