Hi Bucky,
Yes, as I mentioned I have a few short vacations during the remainder of this year, then I will focus more on the Star sailing. Thanks for asking. :)
I must have missed your post. Sorry about that, but glad to know you'll be with us!
-
Hi Ginny - Have missed you on our Roll Call for Star Princess next year. Are you still with us? We have a Waiting List for an excursion you are booked on, so please come by and let us know if you are still with us. Hope to see you there - and on the excursion too! :)

How far is Chileno Beach from the tender pier? Thanks for posting those great pictures, mbmbird.
-
We are hoping he will be our Captain on the Star's 2013 cruise to the South Pacific.
-
Hi Peter and Ginny - We have missed you on the Star March 2013 Roll Call. Are you still with us on that cruise? We have waiting lists for some of the excursions, so we are looking for people we haven't heard from in quite some time. Hope you are still with us.

Hi Bobbie,
I had to cancel this cruise for the meantime, :-(. If things change, I will rebook. Lots of things going on . If I don't end up joining you, have a fantastic trip!
Laura - Hope you are doing well and will be able to join the SP cruise. I'll take you off the Bora Bora list for now, but hope to see you in March.

I started cruising after I was diagnosed with cancer 8 years ago. I found that planning a cruise or vacation gave me something to look forward to. A short-term goal that was attainable and enjoyable. Since then, I've had 2 more recurrences, but I've cruised during both of them. It has been the best therapy for me!!
Hello Laura - We have missed hearing from you on our Star Princess Roll Call for March of 2013. We have a great group and lots of tours planned. Come on over and chat with us.

Yes, every day pina coladas AND milkshakes is what DH lived on!!!
-
Once you get that sticker, it's like "free" milkshakes everyday - and more! LOL! DH got it on our 15-day Hawaii cruise - he felt like he got his money's worth and also the pounds to prove it!!!

To answer the question about the Apr. 28th sailing, you'll have Billy Hygate as CD.
Could that possibly mean that you, David Cole, will be on the Star Princess on April 28th?? If so, lucky us!!

Thanks for the update. Sounds like you've had a great cruise. Really appreciate your posting as we look forward to the Golden next week. Aloha!

You must be heading for LA tonight. Hope you have had a wonderful cruise and that the internet will allow a few details about weather, sea conditions, and anything else you have to offer. Mahalo and Aloha!
-
Hope all is well onboard the Golden, and that you are all enjoying the Hawaiian ports. Mahalo for your posts and Aloha!

I stand corrected. Lava hit the water yesterday/today. One of the vendors is running again, but we will have a hard time using them for our cruise due to the departure times (either before we arrive or after we leave). I have sent a message to another vendor to see if they are going to start up again as their hours worked better for our cruise
Check out the discussion on the Hawaii Ports board here on Cruise Critic. Quite a bit of discussion there.

I have read recent reports on CC that lava is again flowing into the ocean between Hilo and Kona. Just wondering if your Captain might route your ship by the volcano flow. We're hoping that might happen also on the December 21st cruise?
-
We'll be on the next sailing, so thanks in advance for all the info you can provide! Hope our seas are as smooth. The Princess webcams have been looking great! Have a wonderful time. Aloha!

Add us to the bummed out list. Ours is the Golden Christmas cruise, and DH and other family members were so looking forward to the Ukulele classes with David as well as having the CD with the best personality on the seas planning the activities. You who are on the Sapphire in November and December are in for a real treat. David, if you are reading this, please know your admirers are going to miss you so much. You and Elua make the Golden Hawaii cruise so special. Lucky are the Sapphire cruisers this holiday season. Mele Kalikimaka and Aloha! I know we're going to miss you.

Are these drink cards available to buy by the day or do you have to buy a card that covers every day of your cruise? On a 30 day cruise, that would be more drinks than we could handle I'm sure!
-
Hmmm - We're beginning to have second thoughts! We'll be sailing with just half of our family on a Christmas cruise and thought it would be fun to have the others join us on embarkation day, but now I'm beginning to wonder if that's a really great idea. Hoping it would be a happy time, but maybe that would only be for those of us actually sailing!
-
Thanks for the BVE information. We hope to do this in December and been hoping for someone to post of their experience. Much appreciated.
-
Thanks for the Hale Koa luau information. You said that non-military people could attend if seating was available. Does that mean that you can't make advance reservations? We have heard that it is very well done and would like to do that some day.
-
Thank You, Pam. I also followed your posts last year and so appreciate all of the helpful information you provided for all of us during that trying time and again now. Wishing you and your family peace and contentment now that your loved one's wishes have been fulfilled. Bless you all.

Now that Princess will be sending the Sapphire and Star Princess, as well as the Golden, to Hawaii next year, do you know if these two ships will also have a similar Hawaiian atmosphere on board?
Of course, we can't imagine a program as wonderful as what you three have developed on the Golden, but just wondering if there is a plan for the other two ships.
Aloha and Mahalo

David - We absolutely love the sounds of Elua, and the great program you, Feline, and David Cole have developed for the Golden Hawaii cruises. Surely hope Princess is planning to have similarly talented people on their Sapphire cruises coming up. DH took your Uke lessons, bought a Uke in Honolulu, and has been playing in a small group here at home in our neighborhood. I sat in on your lesson sessions and was amazed at how you had that group playing and singing in such a short time - and sounding good too! You all add much Aloha and IMO are one main reason why the RT Hawaii cruises have become so popular. Now, if only Princess would bring back Kona as a port stop:) DH and I send best wishes to you, and thank you for keeping us up to date by communicating here on Cruise Critic.

What a perfectly wonderful and helpful review. Thank you very very much. It must have been a very special time for you that morning that Mt McKinley loomed so brightly after those many days of being hidden in the clouds. How great that you got such a fantastic view. Your pictures of that mountain are spectacular.
