I am booked on a Premier Cruise and was considering changing cabins. I was told that if I changed cabins that I would lose the promotional rate, since that particular offer had expired.
So, my question is... have you ever received an upgrade or upsell call on a cruise that was booked at a Premier rate?
Or have you ever gotten a free cabin upgrade upon embarkation? I'll be fine either way... but would kind of like to be in a bigger cabin.
Someone will probably respond to always book what you will be happy with. I am happy with my cabin and location... so there is really no problem. Just checking:cool:
The thought crossed my mind yesterday to see if I could get a better location. I'm happy with my OV but just wanted to "see" however I quickly dismissed it because the Premier offer is no longer showing up and just didn't want anyone screwing up my cruise, since the timing finally worked out for me to take my first premier cruise.

Hello! glad to see this thread active again! We haven't been on a cruise since November 2014 so have booked a 10 day with Costa Cruise lines out of Fort Lauderdale on January 13th 2018! We are VERY excited!!!!
That sounds amazing! I've seen a few YouTube video for this cruise line and it's looks very European and Fabulous! Have fun.

Normally there is a late 18+ comedy show, the piano bar is open pretty late and there is always the dance club. The casino is open very late as well.

Hello Ladies!
This thread hasn't seen any action in a very long time. I hope that means you're all busy cruising! My wife and I will be on the Carnival Sunshine out of Port Carnival on 12/09. We also just committed to a family cruise (my side of the family) on the Vista for July 2018.
Maybe I will see some of you on either of these two cruises.

My partner and I are from Louisiana. We're on the LGBT Takeover cruise in October.

Thanks I'm so excited!

Booked my first premier cruise for December on the Sunshine, so excited I finally got a date that worked. However I was wondering will there be special casino host on board? Or do they use the same casino host that are assigned to the ship on a regular basis.
Thanks

I read somewhere they offer about 300 premier offers per cruise, so as stated above they most likely reached there quota.

Lots of prayers and hugs!

We were on the Dream back in 2015 and they had at that time your pretty standard land based casino games. Buffalo, Quick Hits, Fu Dao Le and lots of 3 reel machines. The casino section of the board might have more info. Good Luck!

We did this cruise last year June 2016.

Hi Nancy-
I gamble both on sea and land (more on land). I have taken the junket trips before through MGM. Great time, everything handled well, always fun times and a wider selections of machines. I find the land casinos great in my opinion. People are your normal casino players and relatively everyone is just having fun. I'm not a poker player so I can't tell you the vibe at the tables but I'm sure you will have a good time.
Slots have always been better to me in land based casinos. I always pull up the gaming commission reports on payout percentages for each cit/state we visit.
Have fun and enjoy the free trip.

Last year on the Carnival Breeze I won 2k on $1 Wheel of Fortune and this year on the Carnival Triumph my sweetie won $1600 on GoldFish 2 of all things, playing 2.00 a spin.

17 days...First time ever booking last minute cruise! The planner in me is hyperventilating.:):(

Hi Everyone-
I'm Nikki and my wife and I definitely have the travel bug. Outside of other vacations we cruise at least once a year. We have met some really cool people on each cruise (LGBT and Hetero) and kept in touch with them all. We have never had any issues then again I don't think we would notice, we are in vacation mode ...lol.
We have thought about a "women's only" cruise but we can do two cruise for the price of one so it hasn't happened yet. We normally cruise during the off season for various reasons. This year however I was awarded a free cruise from the casino and it's during spring break, this is also my wife's busy time at work. So me and my BFF (who is single) will be joining me. I'm hoping to find her a wife ...lol. Then in June we have a family cruise planned with my side of the family, should be fun.
Now we are just wondering if we can swing a third cruise in there on the new Vista.
Anywho...pleasure to meet you all and Happy Cruising!!!

Thanks so much!

Hello All-
I was finally able to take advantage of a free cruise offer from Carnival based on my casino play. The schedule never really works out for me. However I'm just wondering will my free cruise days count toward my VIFP days? I'm Gold and looking forward to Platinum status in the near future.
Thanks in advance!

We visited St Kitts the beginning of September and decided to book a local independent tour once we arrived at the port. We’ve done this before in many ports and never had an issue. Sometimes we book with Carnival or book with a vendor we find on CC but this time we didn't. The tour price was fine a $20 PP, your seated in an area and wait for a bus to fill up with enough people to take the tour.
We got the tour diver from hell! He ranted for 3 hours about his political views, religious beliefs, racist remarks (I'm African American and so was he, his issues were with people of Asian descent), economic issues and discrimination. Our tour kept us in the most poverty stricken areas for 2 hours the tour was only supposed to be 2.5 hours. All of the vans look the same so I can't tell you which one to stay away from. However we were told they switch vans daily. Also many others who took the tour from other drivers had no issues what so ever. Just wanted to pass this information on.

I have mixed feelings about this potential change. I have submitted a completed form and been denied and called and got an approved OBC and other times I've just called. However I have no problem with their new suggestion or policy to submit the form first. If i'm denied and I have proof (that I always have) that the credit is warranted I will call. No company can stop you from calling there C/S line if you have an issue. I've been a customer service rep, customer service manager, and customer service trainer in the past so this change doesn't alter the fact that if a customer has an issue, someone in that customer service call center is going to hear about it.

We are on the Breeze 9/13 in an OV for 459 chose our on room booked ES. Up to 700 OBC

Thanks for the overview! we are doing the same cruise in 2 1/2 weeks can't wait!
-
That’s very interesting! Last year on our Breeze cruise we had several groups and it was great we can appreciate everyone. This year we will get to know a different group of people we might not otherwise have gotten to know. Can't wait were on vacation so any issues for us!

It depends on your preference of accommodations on the ship in my opinion. I have sailed out of NOLA twice on both Dream and Triumph. I'm not a big fan of the older ships, would not sail the Triumph again. The Fantasy is an older ship and even with dry dock it's still missing a lot. The ports will be similar as there all in the Caribbean. The Dream would be my choice. But no matter what have fun and go with an open mind.
