  1. Google "princess cruises main dining menu", set the results to the last year and hit the cruisetipstv link with download in the title.

There are videos to be found on youtube also.

Thanks for the info - we too are traveling on the Crown in Feb. I didn’t realize the OP was not a newbie as he only had 6 posts on CC. I guess he put me in my place. Thanks again!

  2. I drowned my camera on the second day of a cruise. When we did the next one (Panama Canal bucket list) I packed two just to be prepared. Magnets for excursions (hold on wall) , pop up hamper, packing cubes, $1 for tips, a power outlet (not surge protector) with two USB ports for phone/iPad.

  3. On our Panama Canal cruise a few years ago we could not make connections into Ft Lauderdale so we flew into Miami and the Princess shuttle took us to FLL. We were the only two on the big ol bus. I was really glad we weren't driving. It costs a little more but worth it. Took us to our hotel then to the ship the next day. Back to Miami to catch our flight post cruise. In Feb. we are flying into FLL and staying at Hilton Marina. Our second time. Love waking up and seeing our ship in port. We have also stayed in Sunny Isles FL. Good beach area! Enjoy your trip!

  4. We stayed in this hotel two years ago before our Panama Canal cruise and requested to stay here again in Feb. As mentioned above you can see the port from your balcony. It's great to wake up and see your ship in port. The Walgreens is just down the street for snacks etc. we enjoyed watching the draw bridge and checking out the yachts in the waterway.

  5. Pub lunch is delicious- I have had the fish and chip and the shrimp. My favorite dessert is the baked Alaska on the last night in the dining room. If you are adventurous try the escargot- where else can you try it for free? I like anything with shrimp!

  6. Do you have to collect the photos that you want everyday, and ask for them to be placed on the flash drive or printed?

Yes- when we were on the Ruby in Feb. we would go check our photos the next day and take them to the desk. They would put them n our envelope so they could put them on the flash drive. We would go back and pick them up later. At the end of the trip we picked up our flash drive. It's a good deal if you buy lots of pics. We got in on the $99 deal.

  7. On the Princess survey I complained about a specific crew member. I would be surprised if I were the only one doing so. Are the comments shared with the person? Equally, are compliments shared?

I think they might be shared. When we were on the Ruby in Feb. we had a really good waiter. He mentioned not getting any good comments on the last cruise. He really went out of his way to be helpful so we made sure and left a good review.

  8. If you are choosing between Princess and NCL I would have to say Princess hands down. The food and drinks are so much better than NCL. I did enjoy the shows on NCL but was so disappointed in the whole ship. I just love the piazza -staircase etc. and the aft pool is a great place to hang out on Princss. We are doing the 8 day So. Caribbean in Feb. can't wait. You will be on vacation so just enjoy whatever you choose!

  9. We dined in the Bayou on the Coral two years ago. It was delicious! My friend and I wanted Losbster and the guys steak. Our waiter talked into ordering the filet along with the lobster as the lobster is extra. We had the best lobster and the most tender steak. We could not eat it all!!! But we sure tried! We are from Montana and enjoy our beef - this was very good!!

  10. We put them on in the port city / too much info on them. I do purchase plastic holders but those break too. I always put a copy of our travel itinerary on top of my clothes in the suitcase before flying to make sure they know where to find me. My friend had her tag ripped off from the hotel to the port one time.she had to go locate the luggage on the ship so we are very careful now.

  11. In the lounges they always bring around snacks. I enjoy the oriental mix and my husband enjoys the peanuts. They are very generous - if you don't drink - no problem order a soda. The area is cozy and lots of people sit and play cards or read etc.

  12. On the Coral Princess Panama Canal cruise in 2015 we saw several men turned away from the dining room / t-shirts were not acceptable! Must have a collar. Also men in blue jeans were turned away on formal night, including our travel companions. To be safe they brought dress pants and collared shirts on the next cruise and had no problem.

  13. Just completed partial transit on Coral. We were in A-214, furthest forward highest deck. It had wrapped deck so we faced port and forward. We liked it. A bit breeze on sea days, but beautiful nonetheless. Not the largest balcony by far. Let me know if you need some pictures and we will upload.

We were in aloha 209 the first one on the starboard forward on our Panama Canal Cruise. LOVED it! We will ask for it again. As Steve & Vicky said it is a wrapped deck and facing forward. Our room attendant told me it was the very best place to view the canal and he was right.
