I really don't think any service would not include the dumping of ashes into the sea...and the ashes are carried onto the ship.

I see no problem with it provided it's done privately. Sorry for being a tad selfish but it is my holiday as well. :-)

But as noted above...it's hard to market anyway...but for the JH post, the article, this thread and word of mouth. You will not see any YouTube videos showing this stuff on the CCL channel. ;-)

Hi Mick, I am booked on the 14 night Glory cruise you are referring to. I am in my early 40s as is my boyfriend. why cant u imagine taking a two week vacation?? :)

Kids + School and then summer activities make it impossible for the summer even tho they are out of school. [emoji19]

I am still sorta bummed that our kids spring break in 2016 got moved back a week and now we are taking a 6 day vs 8 days. Gave up at least one sea day. [emoji26]

Perhaps the TA was trying to convey that if he booked the same cruise, same category, today that the price had increased, not gone down, not that he had to pay more. His price is locked in with the deposit paid.

I hope so. I will find out when TA returns from Euro cruise. :-)

Thanks all. I thought that was the case with the 50% deposit and ES.

I'm not paying $100 more. We have two cabins and it's not cruise/fuel related b/c it only applies to one of our two bookings/cabins.

It appears you have the worlds worst TA.

 

 

 

You are eligible for price drops under ES. You dont have to pay the balance until 75 days before the cruise. She is either clueless or lazy.

 

 

 

TA has to change your dining option back to ATD.

Was told that we'd have to pay the 50% deposit we didn't pay due to the recent 50% deposit sale. You are saying we should get the price match even tho we booked under the 50% deposit sale? I've seen folks post they had ES price matches denied by CCL since they booked under a recent $50 deposit sale.

I sorta get the TA owns the booking. But I can change the bedding....why can I do that but not the dinning?

We are cruising in Mar '16. Having a few issues with our booking via our TA. Went with TA since she is family (e.g. she gets commission), it costs me no more $$ and insurance is not due until final payment.

But I have been asking about a price drop (booked ES) but was told that since we booked under the 50% deposit we are not eligible for price matches. To get the price match, they said we would have to pay the other half of the deposit or rebook. I sorta get it but why even offer the ES rate. Anywho...

After asking about the price drop and being told no...I got an email from my TA indicating that my rate went up $100. What the...? I am dealing with my TA on that. :mad:

But it seems our dining option was changed from ATD to early. We want the ATD but when I log into my booking and try to change the dining option (says ATD is available) I get an error message that says Category Not Found. I can change our bedding options.

Anyone else have this issue? Am I blocked from changing it b/c I have a TA? But I am able to change the bedding. :confused:

They announced last week (I believe it was the same day they announced the "dancing of the ships") that they would open them up by the end of June....

...Carnival said probably not until September....

I read the same thing, end of June 2015. So, there is another week to go :) But I also check daily.

Any idea how these extended cruises are being received....are they selling or not? Someone referenced their 14 day Glory (Oct 31 sail date) with a really itinerary.

Was just wondering how those cruises are being booked....or not.

Really appealing but the duration is the downside here.....really cannot imagine taking two weeks of vacation. Perhaps I should move to Europe. [emoji2]

Oops. The Guys page says they are open 12-6. When we were on the Breeze they changed to 12 to 2.30 and 6 to 9. Or did they go back to 12 to 6??

We were two doors down from the lido. No noise inside. On the balcony at night with a deck party or movie, you still hear nothing.

I would agree with the So itinerary. Odd thing is that Aruba and Curaçao are more desert-like than one may expect. Beaches and off shore (diving and fishing) are great....but the islands themselves are rather dry.

We were driving around Aruba and it seemed like it was Vegas with the dirt/rock front yards.

Curaçao is great. Looking into gong there for a land holiday.

It's hard not to go wrong with a Lido balcony. If your family likes the pool, sports area and the food/drinks....Lido deck without question. Also comes in very handy during the evening when kids want to make the runs to the ice cream machines and watching the Dive In movies by the lido pool.

True what folks are saying about the 5th deck lanai. Don't take me wrong....people are not looking up at you in your balcony. If there are folks walking at night laughing it up while walking out side on the lanai, you many hear them....But the pros of the convenience of the lido location far outweigh those concerns for us.

Noticed today that CCL added the Home Port Advisory for our Mar 2016 cruise. Getting closer. :)

I've actually called and asked and I was told that they don't start selling them until they have a good ideas of how many diamonds and platinums will be on board. How fast they are able to determine this depends on how fast the cruise is selling. So it will vary from cruise to cruise.

How early will FTTF show?

In year's past, we've booked our spring break cruises about 8 mos out. And FTTF was always available when we booked then. Will have to be vigilant until they are released for our upcoming cruise.

We booked our last Spring Break cruise really late (Jan '15) and the FTTF was full at the time so I was checking every day to see if one opened up...never did. :mad: I feel like I've been checking for FTTF for 4 mos straight now!!! :eek:

With the last update....those under 13 can use it now with parental permission. That's was not available on our March cruise.

What exactly is the app for?

You can download for free. You connect when you board. Phone must be in Airplane mode (good as that avoids costly roaming by accident). For free you can see a digital fun times and with the last update, you can schedule/tag events you like and get reminders before they start.

For $5 you get an numerical ID and can chat with anyone else (family, friends etc) on board. A nice geeky step in the right direction for CCL.

On the flip side, the Internet package is still lacking. Better than prior years, but with the $99 plan....it was still a bit slow.
