Fly to Puerto Rico
and take Carnival Liberty on the Southern Caribbean loop
South to Barbados and then back up thru the islands.
.
I second this suggestion. Enjoy with whatever you choose.

Oops....correction. It's called the Mediterranean Lido Restaurant. Dang....didn't hit that spot when we were there in Nov.
Enjoy your cruise!!!

I Believe it used to be the Fish and Chips. Not sure if the Italian place was added (replacing) the fish and chips after the recent upgrade.

i also love margaritas! they have an ultimate margarita which is one of their classic cocktails is still $8.75 and is good. it is a double shot of tequila. but this has changed recently also. it was always jose quevo 1800 resposado tequila. now the tequila used is el jimador. the bar menu's on the pride actually have the change written on them. it is a inferior tequila compared to 1800 but the drink is still good. they have a really good margarita at the blue iquana called the blues patron margarita for $10.95 which has a double shot of patron and patron citronge and fresh squeezed lime juice. but of course it is over the cheers mark.
I thought I was on the RCL board for a min when I saw the thread title. :) People are humming over there re: RCL's change to make a lot (most) drinks a min of $12. Beers are still <$10...but this thread in the RCL forum (which is now 11+ pages long) I think has embedded in it a post with pic of a receipt from the bar from a couple who got on the Oasis or Allure, proceeded to the pool deck to get two simple frozen drinks out of a machine and paid close to $27. Yikes!!! Simple highway robbery. I'd like to see the smuggle haters over there now pounce on folks who speak of smuggling booze. :D
I agree with Splintz...love margaritas and was bummed to see they replaced the 1800 in the Ultimate Rita. Was even more bummed to find they stopped doing the $5 match play in the casino for the Ultimate Rita and other premium drinks. :( But they are not $12!!!!!

FOS doesn't arrive to St. Thomas until noon. I
almost makes St John a non-option. :-(

Bring a few empty 'bladders' and fill up in port. I've never been frisked getting back on a ship.

....are promoted as New York, not New Jersey.....
Sort of like the NJ Jets and NJ Giants. [emoji6]

Ships with Red Frog Pubs have one.
This is not accurate. Just got off Breeze today. No darts.

Uh oh....headed out on the Breeze in two weeks.
As Gene Kranz (Apollo13 Mission Commander?) said...."okay, let's look at this from a different perspective. What aspect of the American Dining is good?"
This will be our 3rd Breeze spring break cruise in as many years for us. We get it that going to ATD dinner at peak time (6.30pm or so) will result in a wait....so we avoid it. We found if we got there by 6.15 we were in like Flynn. Otherwise we would wait until 7.30.
I've heard a few folks mention that the newest version of the new menu is better than the earlier iterations. I am hoping the luck of the St Paddy's Day cruise will bring us luck in the casino and perhaps in the MDR.
Bummer to see the new guys hours....open at night (Good) and shorter hours in the afternoon (bad).

Can never go wrong with Tervis. Thanks for the reminder....need to get me one for our Spring break/St Paddy's Day cruise in two weeks. :-)

Heading out on the Breeze in three weeks and wondering about feedback on this app and how it's working on board? The app in the Apple Store has 18 Five star ratings and that's all. There is no such thing as Utopia....especially in the app world.
Anyone use on the Breeze recently? How responsive are the social media apps when using the $25 weekly social plan. Can you post text and pics or just text?? Are you using the native mobile FB, Twitter apps while connected to the ships wifi while mobile device is in airplane mode?
Thanks in advance. :-)

We had a waiter on our Victory cruise in Nov (I believe) called Michael and he was from St Vincent. My wife was asking where St Vincent is. Perhaps it's the same person. If the Michael you are looking for is............into his dancing when the staff does so at night in the MDR's., we're probably talking about the same gentleman. :-)

We are saving quite a bit on our Breeze spring break cruise this vs last year, same cruise. We are one deck lower than we were and we didn't book until right after last payments were due...but still substantial savings vs last spring break, at least for us.

Antigua...]
Nothing special, but it was fun watching the Costa ship come in next to us. They came in really fast and had to use the thrusters a lot to slow down.
I am getting visions of Capt. Ron.

I want to try Fat Jimmy's anyway, so this is convenient. First day they opened late because we had a brief shower and then the line was ridiculous. So I was determined to make it today. Got there 20 minutes early. Ridiculous line. I mean 40 prople long. So I go back to the loungers and bide my time. At 1:00 I figure all the early birds are gone. Wrong. Still a long line. I decide to wait.
I was checking out the new Carnival tip videos on YouTube... it's the one that speaks of the inclusive options of cruising with CCL. A quick snippet shows Jimmy's and there's not a person in line. :-)
Seriously tho....a bit bummed they are (or are considering) changing the hours of Guys. 12-2 and 6-9. I dig the night option tho I don't think we would use it....perhaps a good option for Port nights after getting back on the ship for those later departs. But cutting back at lunch???
Not sure what is worse....not being able to get one after 2pm on a sea day by the lido pool OR getting back on the ship after 2 on a port day. ????? [emoji35]
Sorry...you can carry on now. Great review!! :-)

Preface: Knock on wood
It has been a rather quiet hurricane season the past few years. But it's hit or miss at the end of the day.
At least with a cruise, the ship can try to avoid bad weather. If you go to Disney and it rains a few days...nothing you can do about it. [emoji6]

So there is an APP to use while on the Breeze? What does it cost to IM your DH and DS to find out where they are of if they are joining you at the pool etc?
New to Carnival and this APP. Thanks for the input.
$5 to chat/IM anyone else on the ship (e.g. Family) while on board. $25 for access to social media like FB, Twitter and Instagram for the week.
Some initial reports of substandard "new" speeds on the Breeze which I would probably chalk up to the amount of people using it.
It just rolled out so some folks should start to report back on it soon....if not already.

Yea...I have no issues with the American Table or the drink coupon....but REDUCING the hours of Guys is disappointing. If there was nobody eating I get it....but they are pretty popular.
-
....The menus that have been posted to John's blog site.....
I believe those are the original menus from Dec 2013...so there are updated versions out there. And JH mentioned that they have updated the menus and more info is coming.
-
While at it....are u trying their new Fun Hub app??
-
That sounds like some sort of filter/security issue. Would think that connecting to FB and other social sites...they would do it through SSL (or Secure Sockets Layer....the geeky stuff that puts the "s" in https).
-
Yea....his blog site has a cd schedule but it's only thru Jan 2015. That site has become rather stale of late...but for the prepared Q & A with the new CCL CEO.

I've seen that a few times. Something is being done to the backend of the site. It will fix itself eventually.
Book through TA or Carnival Directly?
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted · Edited by MickCruiser
We just booked our annual spring break cruise on the Breeze. We have a family member who is a TA. Clearly I trust her skills, etc. if we see a price drop....we let her know and it's taken care of.
We've booked directly on our own and last year used a PVP for a last min sailing.
But the one thing we noted when booking thru our TA.....insurance is not due until final payment. If we book directly (eg web site) or via PVP, ins is due at time of booking. We book ES so we understand the risks there of changes or canceling. Helped we sneaked in on the 50% deposit sale as well.
Enjoy your cruise either way!!! [emoji2]
