It's been a few years since I was last on a Princess sailing when my husband was with me. I'm seriously considering a booking on the Majestic Princess but I wonder if any solos reading this could tell me what sort of events Princess organise to attract solos to socialise. I've had very mixed experiences on other lines and I welcome meeting fellow passengers from all over the world.

Hi LewiLewi, it's a pity you are not sailing on the Canada and Colonial America voyage on 24th October as I will be sailing solo and would have been delighted to meet you for dinner on the first night. I have spent time with lots of solos in the past and last year did my first solo B2B sailing myself. I found that the hosted solos get together was on the 2nd night and a sizable group met on one sailing but only 3 of us on the 2nd. I only had to eat alone in the evening once as there was always someone to join. The Maitre D was brilliant. You'll have a terrific time, Azamara crew and regulars are great company.

I am wondering if a port shuttle is either required or provided at the Seville Harbour cruise port. Several sailings spend overnight's there after sailing up the river and the walk over to visit the Cathedral and Alcazar doesn't look very pedestrian friendly. We planned to book the HoHo to tour the city and visit the sights. Does anyone have experience or advice please?
