I was only on hold for about 6-7 minutes using the C&A number but disappointed that they couldn't book anything either. If this isn't something I can get back to today, I wonder if that will be it for the "deals." The website and app are showing different offers and I want to book the website offer.

The Crown & Anchor desk answered in 6 minutes BUT unfortunately he said they're still having problems on their end and he wasn't able to add the drink packages. 😒 He, of course, said to try back later. So unfair if the prices don't hold.

On the app, only soda and voom is showing for me. But on the website this morning, it was also showing deluxe and voom. Had to wait til lunch to buy and now I'm worried that I missed the deal 

My planner is no longer showing all of the packages.  I only have Deluxe & Voom for $85.99 and soda & Voom for $18.99. Deluxe had been showing at $83.99 so I guess it is some kind of sale since I can add Voom for almost the same price. I'll have to add to the phone waiting list since I need one deluxe, one refreshment and one regular soda.

The tour cost me $50 CAD for an hour and I’m very happy I did it. Once the tour was done, it was only a slow 15 minutes walk back to the ship. I found a candy store on the way, so of course I had to stop and get some weird snacks.

 

 

The ones that look like dog treats aren’t from Canada, but the Cheezies are and I’m not sure we have them at home. The last time I remember eating them they were from my Trick or Treat haul when I was growing up in Ontario, so…it’s been a while. 

 

I ended up having a lovely day in Halifax and despite the fog I think we were very lucky with the weather. It didn’t rain, it was warm enough for a Canadian to walk around in short sleeves and everything looked slightly spooky. Win!

 

Once back on the ship, I decided to go for some bar food at the Brass & Bock Pub. I had a Cherry Orchard to drink, which I didn’t fancy as I found the taste to be a bit too close to the cough syrup my parents used to give me when I was a kid.

 

 

 

To eat, I ordered the Lobster Mac & Cheese Wedges and the German Soft Pretzel Sticks. 

 

The Pretzel sticks were the same bread from Chops and if I had known in advance I probably would have ordered something else. It’s very good bread, but I had had some the day before at Chops and I would have liked to try something new. 

 

 

The Wedges could have done with more lobster, but they were really good and the sauce served with them was delicious and just the right amount of spicy. They would make a great snack to share. 

 

Combos are very popular in the U.S. especially the pretzel ones. Sent some in my kid's lunch box today! Thanks for this wonderful review. I am enjoying every word.

What a magnificent review. We don't cruise until next year but my husband has already put many of those drinks in his phone's memo's! He always gets the package but doesn't stray too far from what he already drinks. This review has given him so many things he wants to try. Sometimes you just don't know what to ask for. I too forgot this wasn't live and am sad that it's over! Thank you!

My deepest condolences on the loss of your sister. Glad you didn't have to also deal with a divorce after that "one ticket" issue!

Enjoying this thread and loving the real time updates on a cruise itinerary we are going on in a few weeks, so thank you for taking the time to do this.

Royal actually didn't lose as much as they could have as many of those cruises were scheduled for 2020 (at least mine was.)

Wow, 3 days to 7 sounds awesome and I will happily take the 2 extra days. The packages are so high that it's now a much better price/day. Now just hoping my husband is fine with the whole Thanksgiving week.

I just saw the email about that cruise going from a 5-day to a 7-day. I've already paid for drink packages. Do I have to call in to add the 2 additional days, will they automatically charge me for them or do I get to go on a 7-day cruise with a 5-day drink package?

I agree that it's a terrible price. Like I said, the price went down and when I called to book it, she noted that lots of packages had went down that morning and people were calling in. That's all I'm saying. Hopefully it goes down again and I will rebook.

How could she fib to me about published prices. The deluxe pkg for Nov 2023 cruise was $105 when I booked.  It was $83 the day I purchased it.

I called today and said my husband wanted deluxe, I wanted refreshment and my daughter wanted soda. She said it was a great day to call because the package prices had come down. That was it.

Pre-pandemic it was all about the curry dishes on Indy. I'll find out in a few months if anything has changed!

Jeez. I rarely post here and it's because of answers like this. Why can't a person ask a question and get an answer from someone who may know?  What does the same menu have to do with quality? Maybe they're using less-quality items to save a few dollars? I saw a post on the Carnival board about bacon only being served every other day on one of the ships due to a shortage. Maybe someone has an answer like that.

This is something that is so overlooked but such a big deal. What if you didn't have anyone that could have retrieved your car? I live near both FL ports and would have no problem helping someone out. We need some kind of list!
