1. First, I noticed that Explorer has no TA from Port Canaveral to Southampton. So, where is the Explorer going for its drydocking?

Second, why are the Northern Europe cruises all in May? There are two cruises that look really good, but school is still in session. Too bad they couldn't have those cruises sometime between mid June and late July.

I would assume she'd go to Grand Bahama Shipyard since it would be so close (and part owned by RCCL)

  2. Explorer was confirmed yesterday for Southampton deployment.

I think the sailings were posted here yesterday, but the poster made reference to a travel agent and I think they were removed. They are not open for sale just yet on the RCI website.

April 24th 10 night Canary Island

May 4th 11 night Spain and Portugal

May 15th 8 night Cultural Northern Europe

May 23rd 3 night Bruges and Paris

May 26th 8 night Norwegian Fjords

Adventure was then confirmed to be staying in San Juan.

Voyager and Mariner stay in Asia / Australia (speculation)

Only Navigator not confirmed (was speculated San Juan)

I am very excited they've swapped Explorer for Adventure in the UK market (considering Adventure is only getting 'refreshed' not revitalised). Always wanted to sail on Ex.

I know information is still pretty sparse but is there any indication that she'll be getting the additional cabins like Navigator? I know things like flowrider, restaurants, 3D theatre, etc have been confirmed but I'm interested in the staterooms in particular.

  3.
What I'd like to know is will they add the North Star on inside dry dock or once they pull it outside. Thinking logistically the height and weight of the arm and capsule might be easiest to add on outside.
I'm assuming outside as they'll need the space to maneuver everything around in the installation

  4.
I managed to save the pdf of the Anthem deck plans before it was removed. I feel bad for RCI if the content of this accidental 'reveal' was what tomorrow's NYC reveal is all about. Takes some of the shine off of it. Maybe they'll add something else unplanned to tomorrow's event to make up for it?

Meanwhile, still no webcam update, huh?!
I was thinking this, and whilst I think it was a genuine mistake, hasn't it had the effect they would want? It's created a big stir on cruise critic, everyone's once again focussed on quantum/anthem as a product.

People are still just as interested in the reveal tomorrow as we don't have all the details, but in the mean time the fans feel as though they're in the know. Then it's all pulled and were all left to theorise over the remnants, wanting more once again.

And yes no webcam image, grr!

  5. In the description of Dynamic dining it states , no set times, no assigned seats no required formal night.

It sound like there will not be a rotation system but you can choose where and when. For those that love their tuxes they could do formal every night.

I think my only concern with the formal night is whether that means they'll get rid of the 2 formal gala nights on for instance a 7 nighter. I assume they'll keep these as it is a staple of a cruise, which in many ways will inform the choice of what people wear for dinner. And I assume there will still be the standard dress code in place whatever the case.

  6. I think the areas you are referring to have always been "blank" areas on the deck plans (i.e. not labeled "more to come"). I have always just assumed that those were the kitchen & prep areas and will never be public spaces. I really don't think that they are the MDR. It appears the MDR has now become 4 separate eating venues... a formal, a semi-formal & 2 casual venues. At this point it is almost a certainty that there will be no traditional MDR on the Quantum. Although this doesn't bother me in the least because we like to rotate our dining every night anyway, I can see it would be a disappointment for those who love the MDR.

Even though it appears there are four split dining room venues from what I saw of the deck plans there was still a central staircase area in the middle of the four ... So would that mean some interoperations in line with the rotational idea

  7. The outdoor seating on Brilliance class is wonderful! Oasis class windjammer is not very user friendly or appealing, just my opinion.

Similarly the Solstice class has a very user friendly area, including outdoor space ... So I'm hoping they take some inspiration from that too!
