Have a great trip, we're sailing when you get back!
-
Thank you so much for the links!

The prices are very good and they do a status match for their Loyalty Club.
If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the information that they match Loyalty statuses?? I was looking at booking the Seaside but decided on sticking with RC because of my loyalty perks. This would be a great opportunity to try a new cruise line!

I am in the same situation. I believe the new Upgrade Advantage e-mail only allows you the opportunity to bid on categories technically higher than yours.
I would assume that the Spa Balcony would be considered the same category as your balcony, just as they would probably not offer a person booked in a regular balcony the opportunity to bid on a large balcony.
Hope this helps!

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this great and detailed review, I look forward to reading every sentence!

Great review! Glad to hear you enjoyed the Epic

Thanks for the feedback! I don't know if I would order it, but I always thought about it when I looked at the menu

Have a great trip:)
I have a reservation for a B6 cabin on Epic, does it come with a coffee maker and if so is it a 4 cup capacity or bigger ?
Thanks
Is your B6 one of the hull balconies? I only ask because I have a B6 coming up that is a hull balcony and I wanted to hear back from someone after their trip!

In line with this conversation, has anyone every ordered the filet for two at Le Bistro (I believe) using the SDP? I'm wondering how that would could with the rules

They were constructing additional palapas during our last visit -- suspect they have simply expanded capacity.
Just thought I'd throw this out there, I read on a Tripadvisor review that they have added an additional bar on the beach. A good idea with the increased capacity

Have a great cruise

I'm on an NCL Epic Western Caribbean sailing in March. If you haven't been to Grand Cayman before, I would recommend going to the Turtle Farm. It's still my favorite attraction. As far as Cozumel is concerned, I love the beaches, and have decided on Nachi Cocom myself.

From what I've read and experienced, it depends on the port you are sailing out of. Which port are you sailing out of?
-
I believe so, yes.
Aw, that's too bad. Always the highlight of any behind-the-scenes tour. Thanks for the info!
-
Sorry to get a bit off-topic, but does anyone know if NCL has discontinued the bridge part of the tour on all of their ships??
-
I'm cruising in March as well. March 18. Are we on the same sailing?
Oh no! I'm March 11th Western Caribbean! So close lol!

Hello, I'm traveling in March on the Epic in 9001, and have been searching for pictures of the balcony as well. They are hard to find from the inside view. Luckily, there was a review written by "Annie Goes Cruising" (found under member reviews in the Epic Cruise Critic Page) that includes pictures of the balcony on cabin 11001. I believe the balcony should be similar to yours.
I'm sure we'd all love to see pictures of the balcony when you return!

Are steps the only access ? Husband uses a mobility scooter. We may have to skip it.
Not 100% positive, but I believe I recall reading a review that said there was one elevator that goes up there. I'm sure someone else can give you a positive answer.

I love hearing from fellow Rhode Islander's on this forum! I don't recall the name of the lot, but I once parked in a garage where you go there before arriving at the port, and they have valet drivers that drive you in your vehicle to the port, before parking your car for the cruise.
Might be a good option for you so you only have to get out of the car once.
I would google something along the lines of "NYC Cruise Valet Parking" or something like that. As I remember it was cheaper than the pier parking.
Have a great cruise!

I'm surprised to hear they raised the limit to 130.
For as long as I can remember it has been 100...I wonder why the change?
I certainly hope that it doesn't effect the atmosphere...but increasing capacity by 30% overnight...I can't imagine that it will go well. Hopefully somebody goes before I do and can report back!

My children earned points before they were 18 but it was never listed and they appeared to not be accumulating. But they were! Once my kids turned 18, their cruises were all there under their latitudes numbers.
You got lucky! When I turned 18 I had no points. I called NCL, and they told me under 18 year olds don't earn points.
-
Thank you. Just checked my eDocs. It shows mine and my husband's latitude numbers but for my boys it says Not Applicable. Either because we booked under kids sail free promo or just a glitch. Will check with CS and let you know what I find.
I might be able to save you the call...NCL's Latitude Program does not grant points to individuals under 18 years of age. That might be why it says not applicable next to their names. This surprised me when I found out as most other cruise line loyalty programs do not distinguish between children and adult passengers.
-
Just want to throw my recent experience in the ring here...I can see my Lattitudes number on my vacation overview/online check-in, but when my edocs became available today, they show that we are "not enrolled" in Lattitudes. Could just be another NCL quirk
