The answer you seek maybe here - specific schedule timing ask further ???s
Timing is best perhaps for late afternoon flights
Note the PP fare is $25 not too bad
Is it really $25 PP?? That's not bad at all. I assume it's per person, per way?? I thought it was more than this

If I could give a company zero stars I would. Do not, DO NOT under any circumstances use this company. Their customer service team including supervisors are extremely rude and have taken over a month to issue a refund. At this point, given their lack of professionalism, I doubt I will ever see a refund.
Do you mind me asking what exactly happened?? I only ask because I'm planning on using them in March

I'm glad I brought it up for those of you who didn't know about it!

NCL has been doing "Dinner with officers" still at least a year ago. After signing up getting invited and who the officer might be is a luck of the draw.
And just to be clear, it is different concept from the (now discontinued?) Chef's table.
Sorry, this is what I was referring to. Have you done it before? Is it any fun or just basically sitting at a big table?

Hello Cruise Critics!
Today I was purusing the "Pre-Cruise" Guide on NCL...something I don't usually do as I'm not a newbie...and it says on Embarkation Day you can go to guest services and request an invitation to dine at the captain's table. Has anyone ever done this? Is it actually true? I always wondered how people got invited to the captain's table...

That is a great question. Since they started using online check-in, I've actually never had any experience with anyone who hasn't done it. With that being said, I think that all the materials you mentioned would be all you need. They double check most of that information anyway (when you do online check in) so I'm betting it just takes marginally longer. Don't fret!

I have an insulin pump, an 9/10 times, it doesn't set off the metal detector...4/10 times it won't even set off the body scanners at the TSA checkpoints in the airports! You can make your own decisions, but I usually only notify them if something comes up on the scan. Often times if I tell them ahead of time they start to clog up the line to do special checks when I could've just walked through like anyone else. Hope this helps!

We are sailing Epic out of Port Canaveral December 23. We have signed-in and selected our "arrival time" (10 AM). However, the Boarding Document says that boarding begins at noon. So... what time can we expect to board the ship?? Does "arrival time" only concern arrival time at the port, and has nothing to do with when we board? Seeking PC veterans to clear this up...
From what I've read and experienced, Port Arrival Times is an effort to stagger guests arrival times at the port. This time is when you "can" arrive at the port and begin check-in. In theory, the earlier you arrive at port, the earlier boarding number you will receive.

Worth it for the OP to know that there's a whole thread on Epic Tips & Tricks posted a couple of weeks ago

Definitely looking forward to your review!

If you become a member of the frequent renter programs (Avis, National , Hertz ,etc) , many of them will allow you to rent under 25 without dinging you. It's been a long time since I was 25, but I see that benefit listed quite often combined with special rate codes.
I didn't know anyone did this, I'll have to check it out! Thanks for the great tip

We're flying in the day before our cruise, and I'm renting a car from MCO and driving it to Port Canaveral. We're staying the night in Port Canaveral.
The car was $32 all inclusive. There are 4 of us, and I couldn't find a shuttle cheaper than $20/person.
Even with gas and tolls, I'm still coming out ahead, and I've got the car for any last mintue stuff. :D
That's a great deal! One of the parts that being under 25 isn't so fun is restrictions on renting cars

I will be using their shuttles and hotel service in less than 3 weeks. I will report back. So far they have been very responsive and helpful. Everything is detailed with times and instructions for each part of the trip.
Thank you!

I found a website where I booked our hotel, including transportation from the Orlando airport to the hotel, then from the hotel to the ship, then from the ship back to the airport after the cruise. They have quite a few price points to pick from, depending on which hotel you want to stay at.
We're also cruising in March, and quite a few of the hotel choices were already sold out, so you might want to check it out soon. Their cancellation policy is good, so you can book something now, knowing you can cancel if you find something better. And their price is per room, not per person, so you'll know that when you're looking.

Have you traveled with this service yet? I've been looking for reviews as I booked a cheap transfer with them!

We sail out in Nov. on the Epic and our Edocs show terminal 5 but from everything I have read in newspaper articles and the following attachment for the Port Canaveral 2016 Master Cruise Schedule states we will be sailing out of terminal 10.
.
I wonder if they are concrete plans yet as the Epic is the only ship I can see on that schedule that consistently does not have the arrival and departure times included

Very helpful thread!

Hello Cruise Critics,
Is Norwegian on of the lines that offers a bonus if you book a specialty restaurant on the first night? I've found previous posts about this, but they might be out of date.
-
I had an "iffy" experience. I will say that Go Port Canaveral did work to resolve the issues though. We used them this past February. When we landed at MCO, I called as instructed and was literally yelled at for not calling when I got to baggage... I did as was instructed in my paperwork. The person then couldn't find my reservation. I asked to speak to a supervisor who then took over and was sent a private driver. Situation worsened from hotel to port the next day but that was resolved as well... Would I use them again..... If the price was right....but doubtful.
Thank you for the honest review! It seems the reviews are half and half. For $29 round trip I feel like the price is right. Hopefully all goes well!

Sorry to revive this old thread, but has anyone used Go Port Canaveral for a direct transfer from the airport to port (no overnight stay)? I booked them for a March cruise and wanted to know about the pickup process at the airport

Very well done review, glad you enjoyed!

I know with the romance package, you get a "tea service" on the afternoon of your choice. Does anyone know how you schedule that?
-
I'd be very interested in reading it. There seems to be fewer and fewer reviews off the Epic lately, and mostly from first time cruisers. I'm sailing on her in March and would appreciate a seasoned cruisers opinion

And if you live in a state with a great Italian neighborhood, Federal Hill in RI or the North End of Boston, La Cucina's fare will disappoint you. Maybe try a different specialty restaurant?
I love that you mentioned Federal Hill! As a Rhode Islander, it's hard to describe to people I meet on cruises why I'm never blown away by the Italian food on cruises...even in the specialty restaurants. They just don't understand!

That's what I remember my ta telling me...it's not listed with the rest of the transfers on NCL. Thanks for the info!
