  1. I am really enjoying your review, the humor! My sister is going on the Allure this Sunday, and I am getting excited for her, especially with all of the pictures that you posted!

When you mentioned the Rainbow Reef tour, I thought, "maybe we will try this in March, when we go to Nassau on the Anthem". But then after reading about the cold water, and seeing that one picture of the boat in the high waves, I think not. I guess I'll wait and see if it is warmer and calmer, when our trip is closer.

  2. There would be plenty of seats by the pool, if no one "reserved" them, but just sat in them when they were ready to use them. I don't think most people plan to spend the entire day, in one seat.

It is really strange that the original posters "Chair hogs" found other seats near by, but were still mad that their original seats were now occupied. Were they just looking for trouble?

  3. Hello!Happy New Year!

I keep reading this forum but I still need some additional clarification...thank you in advance!:)

We will sailing out of Port Liberty, Sunday, 3 pm, March 26th. We will arrive 5 days before to NYC and will stay near Penn Station/33rd st. We will return home at the end of the cruise (April 2nd) ; our flight will be at 8:20 p.m.

1- We pretend to use the public transportation on Sunday to Port Liberty so we are thinking about PATH 33 rd street to Hoboken and then we have two options:Hudson-Bergen Light Rail (to Bayonne) and then call a cab or get a cab from Hoboken

Our question is:we are afraid that regarding to language issues (spoken English) we will not be able to call a Cab when we arrive to Bayonne and give the correct directions. We were thinking about get a cab from Hoboken, but we don't know if there will be cabs outside the Station on a Sunday morning...What are your toughs?

2- We will carry with us 2 big bags and two small trolleys, all with wheels; we are in good shape and there are elevators in all the stations. Do you see any issues regarding to luggage?

3- Ship departs at 3 p.m., Sunday; Is 11 a.m., soon enough to leave from NYC by public transportation? Should we leave earlier? If we change our minds and use a driver like dial7, how soon should we leave NYC?

4 - Because we have a late flight after our cruise and will arrive to Bayonne around 6 a.m., we booked an hotel to drop our luggage during the day (there are no place to drop the luggage at Newark Airport) and we will go to Jersey Mall that only open at 11 a.m.. How long is the process of leaving the ship and ship area, being an European citizen? Is it similar to the process to enter USA by plain? Are there cabs outside the port or do we have to call a cab?

Thank you very much for your help!

I am sorry that I don't have the answers for you, to all of your questions, but maybe you could ask some of your questions on an Anthem Roll call that will be leaving soon, like January 14th's roll call. When they return, they can probably tell you how customs goes, and if there are cabs at the port.

  4. You can just change it back to my time dining, if you are talking about "Your preferences" under the C and A section of the website.

Just noticed that you are sailing in 5 days, so you must be talking about your reserved time for this trip. You should be able to change it without any problem by calling who ever you booked through.

  5. Don't buy a drink package. Like Bob said, the drinks are included for free, that you are interested in drinking. You can't get bottled water for free, but the water out of the tap, is perfectly drinkable. They will have cups at the drink areas in the buffet or other places like Park Café, where you can help yourself.

  6. We've been to Labadee a few times, headed back in March. I don't remember the water slide looking too great, don't remember the coaster at all. Does anyone have any feedback? Are they any good - and what ages would they be good for? More for kids than adults?

I rode the coaster, and i thought it was pretty good. It is for both adults and kids. The cars are for two people, and the person In the back has to be a certain height, to operate the brakes.
