Carnival still hires charter/tour bus companies. Yes 98% of the buses have restrooms.

We can only afford to cruise every other year. So I have found the best way to beat the blues. Is we get home and the next morning I start planing our next one.

Now I have a question for the OP. How do you the people you are seeing with out wrist bands don't have them. They may as some have said carrying them in their pockets. And unless you are standing by the door wasting your cruise looking for people coming into the area against the rules, how do you know those that are not wearing wrist bands were not asked by staff when you were not there?

As nlong as they are VIFP members they already have the points they earned. If not you need to sign them up. Then check on getting their points already earned.

Its funny since we got home from our cruise in Feb. Between me my wife got e-mails almost every other day. The PVP we used once and only once called at least 3 times a week. Then we booked 15 day cruise to Hawaii for Jan. 2020 not a word since.

I think the OP misunderstood. Someone had sent John a letter saying they should get rid of the ship on a stick.Cause "no one" likes them. John did do a poll about rather they should keep them or not. But said there is no plans to do away with the ship on a stick. And of course "no one" likes them yet 85+% of those voting said to keep the ship on a stick.

Agreed. I've also seen Golds and D&Ps with lanyards so I don't think it's as much of a newbie thing as some say.
Don't think it was meant that it was a newbie thing. But that you can get idea of how many nebies are on board from the number of blue s&s cards.

I get BB al the time. At the bars that have cans it is hit and miss. Some bartenders give you out of opened cans. Some fill the glass from a new can. Others give you the full can.

Solo cabins with a solo lounge.
For one very big reason you will most likely never see solo cabins. If they put say 100 solo cabins on the ship and only 50 solo cruisers book. They are stuck with what now becomes wasted space.

Where does it say you have to pay for something you don't want? Are you confused? Have you sailed any other line besides Carnival? You are not forced to pay for a "free" drink package nor choose to have it. You are misinformed.
Although you don't have to take the drink package. NCL has started book with us and you get your choice of free stuff. Which is not free, as they have already put the cost of the free stuff in the price of the cruise. I for one say keep your "free" stuff lower the price of the cruise and let me pay for what I want.

I normally do everything myself online. We cruise every other year. Used a PVP for 2016 hadn't heard a word from him. Got talked into using a TA. Since we got home the begging of Feb. PVP has called looking for either me or my wife at least once a week. Right up till 3 weeks ago when I booked our 2020 cruise online.

We are going on that cruise. No there is no Guy's but to be honest have don 3 cruises now with guy's. And food is very subjective but personally not having Guy's is one of the last things that would stop me from booking a cruise.

Tortola, and Antigua were great. But as I tell my DW right now my favorite is Maui, cause it is next.

I would still like verification from a reliable cruiser...
Unfortunately that's where the rumors start. Cause if you happen to hear back from someone who is on a ship that has a problem. Then it will be that they are turned off.

This is why we like YTD so much. We can sit at a 2 top and have the same server, love it. We eat when we are hungry, not when we are told.
I question when I heard people say they like YTD cause they can eat when they want not when they are told. But correct me if I am worng. When you go to request what time you want to eat. They give you the closest reservation they have. So if you want to eat at say 7:15. It may be 7:15, 7:30, 7:45 or who knows when you get a table. So please explain how you are eating when you want and not when you are told.

True. That’s how things get sent to John Heald as well. “Everyone on cruise critic wants x.” He’ll run a poll and like 10% want x.
And of course once he runs a poll on it. There are post on here that Carnival is going to do it.

First I do not care if they bring it back or not. However I do object to the OP making it sound like everyone on Cruise Critic wants it back. More and more people think they can get the results they want by making it sound like everyone wants what they want. Sorry no one is allowed to speak for me but me. Of ok guess it is ok if the wife speaks for me.

I saw it on Facebook.
Saw this coming. What you saw was a poll he conducted cause someone wrote him that they should do away with the ship on a stick. John stated at the time that there was no plans to do so.

So they were trying to do the correct thing and smoke in the designated smoking area and you the non-smoker told them to take it somewhere else. Roger that.
There is nothing that says nonsmokers can't sit in the smoking sections. But how inappropriate it is to ask a stranger to let you sit on a love seat with them.

Can't say for sure. However we are thinking of doing the 14 day Hawaiian Int. In January 2020 if it is offered. Talked to Carnival about a month ago. Wad told that the remaining schedule for January thru April 2020 should be available mid July. So would guess you will start seeing May 2020 around the same time.

Why do you choose your dining time?
in Carnival Cruise Lines
Posted
We always do early. We eat early at home plus we would rather be able to spend as much of the night without needing to stop for dinner. But since I see a lot on here saying they choose YTD. I have a question. I always hear that way we can eat when we want to. But and correct me if I am wrong. But you only eat close to when you want. Cause like a on land resturant, if you want if you want to eat at say 6:45. And there are no tables available at 6:45 the you my be eating at 6:00 or 6:30 or 7:45, depending on when they have a free table.
