  1. I, too, am looking for information on ziplining in Antigua. We will be on Celebrity in Nov. and prefer to book independently. Any recommendations from anyone? Is the ziplining good here?

  2. Yes they have two. One is operated by the owner and the other by her son, at least when we were in it last. Excellent time on this excursion.

Thanks for the reply! We are really looking forward to a wonderful day with them!!

  3. Has anyone used Clearwater Adventures in Roatan? We are looking into them for the All Day Tour.

Did you end up booking with Clearwater Adventures? We have them booked for September, but have not read any reviews on Cruise Critic. They seem to have great reviews on TripAdvisor.

  4. We have one person in the group that wants the dolphin encounter and one that wants to parasail. Do they offer parasailing here or do we need to go another beach? Will we have time to go to two different places? We'll be on Liberty of the Seas the first week in September.

  5. We have Calabaza booked for our group of 14 in November, but I see on their booking page that they have 10 spots left for the day we booked. Do they have 2 catamarans? Would hate to have a problem with booking as we are really looking forward to sailing with them.

  6. We have a group of 4 adults who will be in Cozumel on Sept. 8. Two are interested in the Dolphin Swim. Do you book it through Dolphin Discovery or through the Chankanaab website? Will the 2 not interested in this activity be able to watch?

Also, I am worried about it being crowded as there are 4 ships in port that day - Carnival Dream, MSC Opera, RCCL Oasis and RCCL Liberty. I am guessing most kids will be back to school already?

  7. Enjoyed reading about your Buenos Aires adventure! It brought back memories from our visit 10 years ago. We have the same picture of the tree! We were visiting our foreign exchange student and stayed about a 3 minute walk from the tree, so passed it several times! Planning on returning next year to visit more of Argentina/Chile. The theater was under renovation when we were there, so really looking forward to seeing that. Thanks for sharing!!

  8. Hi, Kathy,

    Answers to :

    1. I don't know. Hopefully someone else does.

    2. No real opinion. We usually just do Main Dining.

    3. Yes, I sometimes need a light sweater in the main dining room and other public places. But it is going to be so hot in the day I might really enjoy the cool evenings.

    4. I would be a little leery of that time frame.

    5. I don't know.

My husband and I will be on this cruise with you. Please join us on the Roll Call for this sailing here:

    http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2272369

I think you can still sign up for the Meet and Mingle Party here:

    https://secure.royalcaribbean.com/ccEntry.do

If you read the Roll Call you will see we have planned a gift exchange at the Meet and Mingle Party. The details are posted there. I am assuming the M&M will be on Monday, our 1st day at sea. There will be an invitation in your stateroom if you get signed up.

We're really getting excited for this cruise!!

  9. It is easy to do online. When you login and view your account there is a place at the bottom of the page "Peferences and Request" which includes "linked reservations". Click the Modify button and there will be a place to add the reservation numbers of the rooms you want linked. I added the other three couples we are traveling with and the linked reservations show on my page and also on theirs. Just have everyone check to make sure it is showing up on everyone's page.

I would make sure that everyone knows everyone elses reservation number to double check that the right numbers are showing up. One time we were traveling by ourselves, but noticed we had a number in our "linked reservation". I just hit "Modify" and deleted the number.

  10. They're good in a suitcase. They're even better in a duffle or backpack for the organization.

Great! That is the answer I was hoping for!

The folders look like something that would be useful to me, too! Might have to look into that further and order some more cubes for my luggage.

  11. I just ordered a set from Rick Steves because they were on sale. Haven't even opened them yet. I ordered them thinking it would help keep things organized in my husband's backpack and make it a little firmer. Anyone ever use them in a backpack?

  12. I had no real interest in dinner at Devinely Decadence when it was free, and I'm certainly not going to be paying a la carte for it.

Don't know what RCI is thinking here with all this a la carte stuff. It's one thing when you have a coffee bar or gelateria and people are paying a couple of bucks for things like that, but quite another when folks who've already paid for dinner are asked to pay a la carte for an entire meal, with $18-25 entrees. Fortunately, we can vote with our feet (and wallets) on those venues.

I agree with you about the a la carte pricing! I am just going to cancel my Jamie's reservation that I paid $30 for (even though they will honor it). It's about making a statement to RCCL. There will be plenty of food to suit us. I'd rather use that $60 on a shore excursion.

As for Devinly Decadence - my husband said he wasn't going to pay to eat health food. I make him do that at home.

  13. It's pretty buried on their web site, I just found it again:

    http://visitepalaisgarnier.fr/en/useful-information

(open the info for Individuals to find the tour info)

We will be making our second visit to Paris in the fall and this is very high on our list!

I still couldn't find it on the webpage, but that looks like the times I saw earlier. All I can get to is a page to order €10 tickets for a general tour. Do you suppose it is possible to show up and still be able to get the tour in English? I REALLY want to do this!
