I was wondering if we were to drop our luggage off at 9 or 9:30 before the check-in might that mean we would find our luggage arrives to our stateroom early? And how does that work with our luggage. We print the luggage tags and put them on the luggage and do we just give them to a Porter there at the Royal Caribbean luggage stand? And I'm guessing it doesn't matter that we are not the ones taking the luggage up to the counter like you would do at an Airlines.

Thanks Bob for the input!
If we are in 2 cabins- 4 of us, can we get one acct with 4 devices?
5 Weeks to go!
-
Are you able to purchase for just 3 days? How do you do this?
If you only have one device signed up I guess you can't text between cell phones on board, right?
Just wondering the best way to keep up with family..?
And don't want to have to spend so much $$

Can anyone tell me if they have a time for volleyball?
My dd loves volleyball and is so excited about playing while on the cruise.
I worry they might only have it set up once or twice and you better get there early...

I agree that the village and the lagoon sound so amazing and we can't decide which to select.
More families seem to comment on the visit to eat in the village, so I wonder if that might be the one we select .

We used Bodden and never felt unsafe. It was a great day. Very reasonable price.

So one concern is that we don't have a full escort from the port?
I guess with Victor Bodden, who sounds terrific, you have to meet them outside the terminal.
What is the safety there like? Are the taxis consider safe?
Should we go with an excursion from the ship just because it has the immediate escort? and who escorts or picks you up at the ship?
Thanks, want to be clear of the setting to reassure family.

We use victor Bodden as well and have never felt the least bit unsafe. Spent time in west end village and at west bay beach. Snorkeled half moon bay all day. You name it. Never had even the slightest bad vibe. There is crime everywhere. Use common sense and a local guide and you'll be fine.
do you mean there is crime everywhere in the world?
Or everywhere in Roatan?
-
So I want to keep it simple in Roatan, and take a taxi to the beach and spend the day there... Lunch and fab snorkeling etc. But some of my family are concerned about the possibility of harm/ kidnapping or thief.
What is the crime like for cruisers coming in to the Roatan port?
Can we trust the taxis?
Do we need to plan only RCCL excursions so that we are sure that the people are vetted and we are safe?
Are they vetted?
Who escorts you around when you use a RCCL excursions or do they direct you to a location?
Thanks

So what RCCL items have you bought that you would recommend?:)
Is that tote bag or slippers a nicely made item good for a fun gift or item to remember you vacation?
I see they sell a number of things online and I am sure the gift shop sells them too.
We collect playing cards.. do they have RCCL playing cards on ship?

Hi,
Try Blue Cool Running Tours in Roatan which is locally operated. Will pick you up at your port. The snorkeling there is amazing - you will see so much!
Did you do the 2 1/2 hour snorkeling to "West End Blue wall and the blue channel"?
Isn't this accessible from the beach?
Wondering if we need a guide.. if we have our own gear?
Anyone else used them?

I voted NO...but not because the took it...because it's not needed! I have brought my electric fan...can't live without it.
You don't have a complete poll list.
Did they let you keep it?? How big was the fan?

Wondering if anyone has gone snorkeling or fishing with Chichi Charters in Cozumel? If you went snorkeling early would there be time to go to Mr. Sanchos and play on the inflatables water park??
trying to make everyone happy!
But I want to snorkel everywhere I can!
If you look at Tripadvisor for Cozumel, Mexico, under things to do . ChiChi Charters about 206 reviews... and 201 gave them 5 stars! And they take you to 3 different areas to snorkel. Many do the fishing..
but it is not cheap!
I will look at the Monkey Bar place.
Thanks.

Get to the tender designated area as early as possible and get your number. The earlier the better. Very important. If weather is good, then everything goes pretty smoothly.
I'm confused? ARe you talking about Cozumel?

I believe that it is illegal to float a cruise ship that does not have shuffleboard.
:D ;) :D :D
Good to know!!
My brother is so excited to go on his first cruise and of course wants to play shuffleboard!
Happy that LOTS is fully legal! ;)

We are so looking forward to our cruise! 60 days! Wondering if Liberty has shuffleboard on deck? and which deck??

Hi, Mary,
I would definitely e-mail the dining room request to rcldining@rccl.com and explain the situation. We were on deck 4, right next to a wall, which really helped block other sounds. It was table 477, but I am sure they move the numbers around. When you e-mail them, include your booking number, sailing date and name. You can also call the RCI special needs dept. to let them know of your concerns. Once you are onboard, go to the dining room to see where your table is, and whether it will work for you.
They had some assistive listening systems available for some shows, but I do not need one, as I thankfully have full hearing in one ear. I have most trouble when I am in a crowd. Ask at the special needs dept. if they can reserve you some seats close to the stage. I hope it works out so that she can enjoy the whole experience! [emoji846]

Thanks Apdmom. I appreciate the input and advice. Your review is just dreamy! We are counting days and enjoying the planning as we gaze longingly at the photos here!

So, I was thinking about not getting a beverage package as I usually just have water and lemon.. but do like an occasional soda. Can you bring canned sodas on board? We are on Liberty in June.
and dd is very picky eater.. so I am bringing some snacks. Any rules or suggestions. I am thinking snacks for the excursions could be helpful. like prepackaged things..
I will be strange no coffee maker or microwave..

ps is there a DVD in the rooms?

Hi ADPmom,
Enjoying following your review. My dd (16) and I are looking forward to a June cruise on LOS. She is hearing impaired with cochlear implants. I wonder if you have might have suggestions for me on making her trip more enjoyable.. I noticed your point about asking for a table in a quiet area.
For shows can we ask to sit close so she can read lips etc??
Do they have a texting device, like Disney has? or do we have to pay for wifi and text on our cell phones? She often can't hear on a handset phone.
So glad you had a nice time!
Thanks! Mary

What are these?
Is it serve yourselves.. free sodas and other beverages? Do you need a beverage package to use?
Do I need to bring my big tervis tumbler??
Might need to get a new special one just for the cruise!
:)

So I will traveling with my dd (16) and she is hearing impaired with cochlear implants. So she often can't use a regular old landline phone. cell phone on speaker works...
I was hoping to not have to spend $$ on internet service just to be sure we keep in touch.. because she will be almost inseparable from me. But teens like to sleep in. And Have you ever seen sun rise on ship! :D:D
If they don't have a gadget or app-- so it goes to the old white board to keep notes or the internet package.
Wonder if they have any special device for hearing impaired texting on board..not teletype or alert system.
Looking forward to it!

So, do you usually get your cabin assignment soon after selecting this? Or after final payment?
Our final payment is in about 2 weeks!
I see lots of room on the 6th deck..
If you don't like your guarantee can you change it right away within the same category? Do they give you a group of rooms to pick from?
And why is the guaranteed balcony on the UK site more expansive than the other rooms???
Is that good sign?
thanks

My experience is nothing like some of yours. We pretty much order only breakfast and have ordered off the room service menu many times. Doesn't it occur to anyone else to just ask??? We've never used the pre order form, we just call as soon as we wake and by the time the sleep is washed from our eyes, they are at the door.
We've had eggs benedict etc. and everything has always amazed with the temprature of the food. Always warm. In fact, we always wonder how they do it! The burgers are very good and I've even ordered off the MDR menu . No problem. The only negative I ever had was the coffee...not too good, but my DH always runs up to grab couple of cups of cappuccino from the Diamond lounge. And the toast could be crispier, is a bit tough from the steam under the covers. But No other complaints here.
She did say eggs benedict, right? !! We can request off the menu!
Sounds so excellent! Wonder how I am going to get my coffee.. Could I order boiling water and do the Starbucks instant?
:)

So, i wonder if booking a Balcony Guarantee"cabin will be worth saving about $350 rather than selecting a room.
I want a balcony.. not a huge difference where.. except would hate to be under or over a noisy location.
Is there a way to see the balconies that are left- entering reservation information , looking over balcony rooms that are open still- and then decide if it is a good deal??
Are most of the rooms given out in the "guarantee" the ones no one wanted.. hence bad rooms?
Did you have a bad experience with a room guarantee?
ARe there bad balcony rooms?
Looking at all the options!
Mary

I was wondering if we drop off our luggage early before check-in as some have mentioned here, does that mean you might get your luggage to your stateroom earlier? And because we have luggage tags already I guess we don't need to hang on to our luggage yes?
