Towel animal or not, doesn't matter to me as long as there is no real animal in my cabin. :D

We ate in the Manhattan Room one night and Taste three nights. They have the same menu with only a couple of additions for "local specialties". The dessets weren't even worth ordering in our opinion. We were completely unimpressed with the inclusive dining.
Teppanyaki was good but not great; however we HIGHLY recommend Moderno. Just make sure to go hungry. I did not personally experience Le Bistro, but my friend from Canada went and she said it was fabulous.
We also sampled O'Sheehans and the food there was terrible.
Now you scare me.
We are vegetarians but we do love good food. If they cannot make "normal" food nicely, how bad will their veggetarian items be?
Going to specialty restaurants will not be a big options for vegetarians. Again they will have a limited menu item.
Shall we cancel our booking?

May I offer my two cents and say here that Crystal Cruises serves the best food, at least for me and my DW.
They have the right taste, right size, and beautiful presentation with flawless service. Their menu is varied, and we can even order off menu with one day notice.
Their specialty restaurants are 'no fee'.
However, I heard HAL has a special vegetarian menu so would love to try that.

Vegetarians want to cruise and love to eat too.
Most vegetarians, due to the limited food items they will eat, like to have VARIETIES.
By nature, to keep their appetite fresh, vegetarians tend to be more creative in selecting their day to day meals.
It's not enough just to have pasta everyday, or indian curry everyday, or garden salad every meal. Variety and creativity is the key.
We all like to have choices. To limit our choice to just one entree - even if it is tasty - makes us feel 'less happy' than our fellow cruisers.
Hope you'll understand.

Take me with you. :)

生日快乐!
Lovely review. Thanks for sharing!

I guess if the attendants are not busy, they will make towel animals.
Towel animals are nice touch, but it is not a necessity. More important that the attendant keep the cabin cleaned.
No towel animal is no problem. Problem is when there is an animal (or their little cousins) in your cabin :p !

Thank you all for sharing your thoughts.
In past cruises we loved our balcony. I was thinking to opt for just oceanview for TA so we can save some money. Your posts convince me that balcony is the only way to cruise!
Ok. Ok. Let's have a balcony then. :)

I will be on Allure for the first time in 349 days :p
Really want to know what to expect and what not to, and hope to see what have and will change....
Your review IS different, and interesting. Thanks for sharing. Please post more soon.

How important is balcony on a TA cruise?
Is it necessary due to long sea days? Or mostly unused due to the weather?
Please share your experience.
Thank you.

OVERALL
Overall, we loved the Solstice and would love to sail her again in the near future! .. ... ....
Your cabin photo just gives me an idea.
We cruised in balcony cabin so far. However, if we ever cruise in an oceanview cabin -which I think we will do for some itinerary- it will be nice to have the bed near the window like you do. Looks more roomy, and you can gaze the ocean while laying on the bed.
I agree, Solstice is great!

Congratulations! May you live happily ever after....
Now Solstice and Barcelona are two beautiful pairs, and you make wonderful photos.
Definitely following, with eyes wide opened!

Thank you.

Thank you.

I hope to do a world cruise some day. However, I am afraid I will be bored if staying on one ship for a very long time.
I am playing with an idea to combine a few cruises on different ships or even on different cruise lines, and eventually circling the globe.
Anybody has the experience doing this?
Please share your thoughts and comments. Thank you.
Separate 7 day vegetarian menu?
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
We were on the Solstice this March and were actually looking forward to enjoy the separate vegetarian menu.
Unfortunately the Assistant Maitre d' told us there was no separate menu and only refer to the LIMITED choices in the regular menu. He did offer to cook 'something else' if the menu is not to our liking, but nobody knows what this 'something else' is until it is brought to our table. We were very disappointed but just choose to make the best of our cruise and enjoy
The cruise is great. I only wish they never promised there is a separate vegetarian menu, we would never hope then.
We should have printed the menu found in CC. Well, hoping there will be a next Celebrity cruise for us!
