Oh my! It just dawned on me. MSC, please find some umbrellas for the Yacht Club pool. I just realized the occupants might want to come out to other parts of the ship!

Now Thats funny right there , Im in YC but i will be all over the ship , to enjoy everything it has to offer

Yes shade would be nice , but i dont remember ships on Carnival having much shade at all except for the adults only area , which wasnt very big to begin with , I am thinking " umbrellas " unless anchored really well wouldnt work when the ship is moving..

Do you guys have the new iOS? That might be the problem. I have the 10 still and the app works - almost- fine. Its a bit slow, but no real issues. I have not done the update cause there are always issues with new iOS, always wait a few months when its running fine.

Yes i am on the most up to date IOS , the app hasnt worked the paast few ios updates

I went back to a old IPAD ( Gen 1 ) and the ipad will not update past IOS9

So its a combination i think of the IOS and the app , but i guess its like MSC's website ( not good ) :)

did u try deleting the App and reinstalling it...that is what i need to do...then all was fine...

I get to login screen but when i log in it just takes me back to home screen ( basically turning off app )

There is a Seaside face book page that shares marvelous photos , videos and lots of great information . I don't know how to provide the link , but I am sure someone here can help with that .

 

One of the posters there named Joey shows how the photo shop on board works including a video . I found this helpful . I know there have been quite a few questions about the photos . It's quite a bit different from how things are handled on the Divina .

can only book on board - just ask the YC concierge to book for you - or u can go direct to the restaurant (as they are literally right outside the YC on deck 16) - and make the reservation on your own....

I see they have the packages , but what if we just wanted to make a reservation for the Steak house ?

Do we have to wait until we are on the ship ? i dont see where we can do it on their website

good day - you have full access to the Thermal Spa - you can use all the facilities that are not an addtional charge such a spa treatments - so all should be good...

Question , if we are iin YC and it says we have access to the thermal suite in the the thermal spa area

Does that mean we have access to the hot rock beds and all of that stuff or what is included , im a little confused

Prices are the same for me in 2019 as my 2018 cruise

Just a thought when you go to look at prices make sure you are not on " brochure rate " those are like doubled

The msc for me app , crashes , i login i get a spinning dial then the app just closes , anyone else with that issue ? On Iphone if that helps

I noticed that too , but then i noticed i was on " brochure price " make sure you select one of the " deals " pricing its much better

Also you need to check what rate you were booking , it is confusing you might of been on full brochure rate

Once you find the cruise hit the button see price and details do not hit book it , then you can select what rate if that makes sense

Sorry new to MSC ( cruising March 2018 on Seaside )

Was curious as on other ships you put your card ( sign and sail on carnival etc... ) into slot machines and if you want you can charge money to your room to go on the slot machine , and if you wish take your card to the cage and cash out , basically getting cash without paying the fees at a ATM or cash advance on your card

Can you do this on MSC ?

Are the Saunas and steam rooms Men and woman or seperate for each gender ?

I just looked for my seaside cruise in March 2018 , its still $98 to purchase

What do you need to prove being a Gov't employee? I booked this past weekend and my agent seemed like he wanted to find me a discount. He asked if I was military, teacher or govt employee? I said my agency and position are fully funded by govt and he said "that will do". Not sure about that, but I will take the 5%. What sort of ID checking procedure is there for this discount usually?

We booked over the phone with MSC just a FYI , but the agent there was super helpful , all I had to do was reply to her email with a scanned copy of my wifes government ID , that was it , she then applied the 10%

I just got off the Vista last month , and its terrible , i love carnival and have been loyal , but we always get suites and really you get nothing for it , we are going on Seaside in March 2018 , we did YC ( cheaper then a suite on vista ) and the perks are great. Carnival really screwed the pooch imo with the vista , the showroom is a disgrace etc...

Cannot wait for the Seaside

We got state employee discount

YOu still get obc free wifi etc... but not 10% on top of 5% for being past guest , its one or the other

We booked Seaside and we status matched , but then when i told them my wife works for the state , they gave us 10% instead

We still got the obc and the free wifi
