I thought i read in that article , that you would be able to use your phone as a option as well , maybe that means if you have a apple watch or similiar device that would work to.....

Sorry i cant figure out how to delete this post , i made a noobie mistake on MSC , and it was on full brochure price
Sorry everyone lol
-
Anyone else do a fake booking for the cruise they happen to be on and see the prices now, The YC cabin I am in went up 1300pp , same number of rooms are available as there were after i booked over a week ago , And yes i have checked recently , and just today they went up

We are cruising on the Divina in May on the Yacht Club;
we understand that the Yacht Club restaurant is different than the main dining rooms.
Do you (or anyone) know if it makes sense to go to the specialty restaurants rather than eat every night at the Yacht Club restaurant? (We will be eating with small children, if that makes any difference.)
Thanks
I will start by saying i havnt sailed on MSC yet , but i asked the same question , i have been told by multiple people on her you dont need to pay for the speciality restaurant ( not saying its free if you want to eat there ) but that the YC restaurant will have things on the menu each night from the speciality restaurants and if there is something you really want you can ask them to make it for you , or basically pre order it for another night
-
Perfect , yes that is what i was asking - Thank you

Sorry i cannot find the answer , we will be in YC on seaside , if we want to go to the steakhouse ( or whatever they call it ) we can and still pay the prices correct? I have seen on here some people while in the YC only restauraunt can actually ask for items off other menus ( maybe for the next evening or so ) My wife loves surf and turf :)
Any info would be great
Thank you

Himm, can you find anything that says that and post it? I am interested. Thanks!
About the drinks for $8 and under m that is what my agent said when i booked , so nothing in writing , but I am coming from carnival so either way im good :)
i am hoping to get more info this summer when its rolled out on divina then we can see what it will be on seaside
-
For the divina i just saw what you posted " *Starting Summer 2017, unlimited beverage selection will also be available in all bars and restaurants of the ship according to the drink selection available in the each venue. "
I dont know the date it will startAlso my understanding when i booked was any drink under 8 dollars , so most brands were included in that , again i might be wrong i am new to MSC :)

I dont know but if you just go to the website
go to fleet
Pick your ship
Go to accomodations / rooms tab
then hit the plus sign next to your room
See what it says

Thanks to eroller , who pointed it out , when i booked the other day Yacht Club only got drinks in the Yacht club areas , looks like the website has updated
Here is the info now for yacht Club
Unlimited drinks in all MSC Yacht Club areas including the mini-bar in the suite. Unlimited beverage selection also available in all bars and restaurants of the ship according to the drink selection available at each venue.
-
It's on the US site, under FLEET >MSC Seaside >Staterooms, then under the description for each cabin type there is a Plus + sign where you can click to expand and see all the benefits.
It now states that for Yacht Club drinks are included in all venues on the ship based upon the menu offered in that venue. Very cool!
Awesome , yes that wasnt there the other day when i booked , thank you
-
Also very happy to see the amenities updated for the Yacht Club. Drinks included in all venues on the ship, and access to the Thermal Suite. I'm getting excited as more details about the ship are released. It just looks incredible!
If you dont mind me asking where did they state drinks anywhere on ship for yacht club , i thought it was only in the Yacht club areas ?

Just wanted to chime in here about seeing rooms available if you have only 2 guests , we booked the seaside for March 2018 , we always travel with our best friends now , and they only want to be right next door to us , so we can open up balcony cabin doors. They didnt show 2 next to each other when looking online , but when i called the great agent we spoke with got a supervisor who opened up the room next to one that was available so we can have 2 next to each other , the agent explained that they do keep alot of rooms off online booking holding them for 3 or 4 guests. so always call if you dont see the room you want available....
-
Go ahead and book your excursions. You could get the concierge to do it, but it will be very pricey.
Thank you , that was what i was thinking
-
Sorry , i am new to MSC and very excited about our March 2018 sailing on the Seaside
Question since we have never sailed MSC , it says in the Yacht Club you can book private excursions or create your own , so does that mean we dont book any excursions and we should wait until we get onboard to book our excursions ?
Any info and guidance would be greatly appreciated

FYI the Keurigs were removed from the suites per JH , no one was using them i guess......
-
That makes no sense to me. Why would they print them onboard when the facilities are there at the port to do so and then have to bring them ashore?
Probably because no one is at the port when ships are not there ?
Also the guy who answers questions for John is a assistant or something
Someone asked about steak house reservations and they didnt recive there confirmation , This guy answered " per john yes your reservation is at this time and date "
-
Some more info , I was just told the ALL the keys will be in the mailbox before you board, They are actually printed the day before , So as soon as you board you should be able to go get them
-
FYI I Just ask John Heald
ALL keys whether you are Platinum , Diamond FTTF or Suites will be at the room, no one will get there keys at checkin
-
There should not be more traffic than usual in the halls as only the keys for Diamond, Platinum, and FTTF will be in the mailboxes. I read that the keys for red, blue, and gold would not be put in mailboxes until shortly before the 1:30 time when all rooms are to be ready. They will not put keys in the mailboxes as they finish cleaning each room to prevent people from coming to check if their room is ready. With room keys in hand, too many times people were coming early to just "drop off their bags"". That put the stewards in the position of having to work around luggage while cleaning rooms or telling them they can't drop off their bags.
Are suites included with Diamond / platinum and FTTF ?
-
Someone asked earlier , and i have not seen a answer , if you are platinum / Diamond / FTTF or in a suite are your cards still waiting for you in the mailbox or are you given those at priority check in ?
I am asking because we always get suites
Thank you
-
We do it all the time since my wife and me get casino offers , we each book a room with our friends , then when get on the ship we go to guest services and change the names around , our pvp is awesome and will change us before cruise as well with no penalty if we k now there will be no more casino fare drops or anything
-
Thank you for the heads up. Now I have a question. I have selected our desired time but we are booked in a Family Harbour Suite. Do we get priority boarding, meaning we can show whenever?
Thanks
Greg
Yes , Anyone in a Suite , FTTF or Diamond or Platinum must still pick a time , but can show up anytime they want
-
So Far Grand suites will have a Keurig coffee maker, free water, free laundry, priority tendor service for excursions, special pillows and sheets, a chocolate on the pillow at turndown
So far that was what was mentioned by John Heald did say today there was other things which he couldn't mention yet. We will see
I believe this is for all suites not just grand suites
I got a email the other day i will repost the main parts of what i got
Our gratuity guidelines will be increasing from $12.00 to $12.95 per person per day for guests sailing in standard staterooms and $13.95 per person per day for guests booked in suites with cruises departing September 1, 2016 and onward. In tandem with this change, in addition to priority embarkation and debarkation in all ports and confirmed main dining room preference, suite guests will now receive priority tender service, complimentary in-suite bottled water and one complimentary bag of laundry per voyage, as well as an enhanced turndown service. Guests who have pre-paid their gratuities as of May 9 will not be affected by the increase.
Shows and YC guests
in MSC Cruises
Posted
Hi Everyone,
Quick question , heard multiple answers so i thought i would ask here. We are staying in the YC for our cruise on the seaside. Is there special seating for YC guests for the shows in the evening so we dont have to wait inline to find a seat etc.... ? Do you need to make reservations for the shows ?
Any help would be great
Thank you
