Have been notified by a pax currently on Eclipse that due to an increase in cases of COVID onboard that the Captain has mandated that masks are required (not just requested) in the theatre and casino.
Possibly heard about the % of pax on Majestic Princess debarking with positive COVID tests.
Has there been any more information given about this situation on the Equinox?

Great point. Will be very difficult to determine if it's an actual scheme (will win with your current bid) or if its legit (will lose if you don't increase your bid). Regardless, I'd imagine this email is very effective with getting people to increase their bids. The OP and one other are claiming they didn't receive this "outbid" targeted email. My WAG (Wild A$$ Guess) is if it was a scheme it would go out to everyone yet this doesn't appear to be the case; therefore who is X targeting with these emails?
Whatever it is my bidding days are over if this is the process. I do not mind bidding if it others are unaware of my bid. However I have no interest in getting in a bidding war.

Then why are you in a quandry. It sounds as if you already know the answer. Pleasant sailing.
I answered the wrong poster. Sorry about that.

And we have tried a suite. Luminae and Blu were comparable to us. Retreat was nice but very happy in Aqua. A bigger cabin not a big deal to us.

My best answer to this- Once you are in a Suite it might be very hard to ever book anything lower. My wife and I were quite content booking balcony cabins until were bumped up to a Suite years ago. We only sail Suites now. Somebody has to do it.

I was on a cruise 4 months after 2 knee replacements. The first month or two can be a bit challenging but I would expect him to be able to MANAGE a set of stairs by then. Maybe not running up and down them but just taking his time.

We have been in a SS 6 times and never been contacted by shoreside concierge before a cruise
And you won't. This is primarily for RS and PH.

Silk Tommy Bahama yes but not chic night for me but we love to dress nice every night. Never would I be caught dead in a Hawaiian shirt or cargo shorts that some old men love. Save your Hawaiian **** for Hawaii.
Who said anything about cargo shorts. Please don't mix the two together.

Pay extra? Yes. But it is a long walk to the back of the ship.

We usually sail in suites. We LOVE suites. My wife loves Luminae. I don't. I usually order from the main menu. I don't feel that I am running anyone ragged. Suites cost a lot. That is all.

I think the Royal Suite is available for the return leg. Too pricey for me. 14k pp.

I will always park at the port. Several years ago I took a shared van and someone that got off before me took our bags (and we never found them). From then on NO ONE EVER touches my my bags. An uber is fine but any type of shared van is something that I will never do again.

Best snorkeling of my life. It was so good that we we went back for a 7 day vacation and found many incredible places to snorkel all around the island.

I am not sure if it is an FCC. If not I am sure that it is nonrefundable.
I am just wondering if either one can be pushed out to next December. I just don't feel like paying in full for a cruise 2 months from now with so much uncertainty about itinerary, precautions etc.

My cruise final payment is due. I am elite+. I have a $500 dollar deposit on it. With current conditions I would like to postpone it for up to a year( I have a cruise scheduled next December). Will Celebrity do this or will I lose my deposit? This money was from a previous cruise that we did not go on (I do not remember if it was cancelled or we cancelled).
Forgive me if this has been asked but as much as I try to keep up, things are constantly changing.

Shuttles are great until they are not. We took a shuttle a few years ago and the first people to get off took our bags and because we were in the front of the shuttle we had no way to know that they were gone until our stop. Since then we try to park close enough to walk or take a cab with just us in it.

I have a CVP that I have had for years. She has been more than outstanding. She is still working there and I don't know what I would do without her.
Captains Club reps and regular service reps have done a horrible job for me over the years. I too have wasted many hours in the past trying to get simple answers from them.
-
I do not mean this in any negative way but I do not care in the least who my captain is anymore than my bus driver or my pilot. Just get me where I am going regardless of gender.

The night games are usually on in the casino bar as someone else said. (Go TB12!)

Well I don't know if it sucks but I do know that all of my future cruises (next year) worth over 30k , just disappeared from my reservations. Now I have to go look them all up and re-enter them. That should not happen.

Well my reason for asking is that the sofa in the living room is adjacent to the bedroom. If I am on the sofa I want to face the way that the ship is sailing. I would also like the bed to face the same way that the ship is sailing. If you still understand me at this point- God bless you and thanks.
