I do not have a current booking so can only imagine what you two are describing.  Is it possible the Upgrade banner is there to indicate what you get in addition if upgrade the package to the $60 level?

My understanding is that the new benefits only apply for guests who have booked/paid/upgraded at the $60/$80 price-point and don't get them otherwise.  Basically, the old Plus gets the new drink cost limit.  Anyway, they were pretty clear about the new things only applying to those who pay $60/$80.

It says "purchased" so it is only eligible for an upgrade to Premier. And, that was my experience in May.

How it plays out in real time for next cruise, time will tell

Either way, it won't effect me more than I allow it to.

I will go away relaxed, well-fed and happy with stories to tell.

These minor issues are just a part of life.

Finally saw what you were looking at. This shows purchased even though my Travel Summary still shows only what came with the Princess Plus - 50.  While on the Sky Princess in June, I went to the Juice Bar to order and the employee told me that my package (paid for Plus - 50)  didn't include the Juice Bar.

That where the YMMV kicks in.  I did not have the problem you describe.

It’s significant to some. It’s $14.99 per person per meal now for food that used to be included.

Yes, it’s optional, but it is a change and an increase for those who don’t book a package. It doesn’t personally affect me but I can see why it’s upsetting to those who are affected. Sure, the cruise line can do whatever it wants, but it seems that changing the product (after it has been paid for) is, while profitable, a questionable business practice.

Any change of any retail concern will affect people going forward.  There is an ala carte option mentioned that will likely reduce the 3-course $14.99 meal to less for just a pizza.

Still not significant in the overall cost of a cruise.

BTW, I have walked by Alfredo's for decades and only eaten there once.  I must walk by at the wrong time, as it seems everybody on this topic eats there daily and now their cruise is ruined.😉

What in my comment was about a standard fare customer?  If you want to eat at Alfredo's, previously free, you now have to pay $15.  I consider that pretty significant.  Room service charges, ordering form the app.  Seems to me it all costs quite a bit more unless you buy their most expensive AI package.

OK, so you're not a standard fare customer. Even better:

If you're a PLUS pkg cruiser, room service is waved, app ordering is waived, you get 2 free Alfredo's (or Salty Dog Pub, etc.) 3 course meals/pp. If you CHOOSE to eat at Alfredo's every day additionally on a 7 day sail, that is 5x15 or $75/pp.  If you choose other free venues it's $0.

    Still not seeing the significant

While I agree with your sentiment, none of this is nickel and diming.  It's significant increases in costs to cruise.

Also, while your idea of ordering the max drinks might make you feel better, I hope everyone knows that those drinks cost Princess a very minimal cost to provide you.  It won't hurt their bottom line at all.

Really.  How significant of an increase do you figure this is for a standard fare passenger?  Looks pretty minimal.

I have the old PLUS-50.  My cruise personalizer shows what you see in yours (everything included and no upgrade to PLUS-60 button) but going into Travel Summary I see no indication that I'm getting the new perks, which leads me to believe I'm not.  Before this change my cruise personalizer explicitly showed that I was not eligible for desserts nor fitness classes and I'm not sure why PCL changed this - it confuses people at first glance.

Anecdotal:  I've already cruised under 50, and got the 60 benefits.  Again, YMMV.

  7. Everyone will find a cruise line that fits their style and their wallet.

With everything from gas to groceries to eating out going up, this is all potatoes.

I cruise Celebrity as well, but not because in is less costly.

Seems like this change is not worth the drama.

  8. After decades of cruises, we treat the ship as our destination.  There are ports we have a favorite beach or tour, or a new destination at times.  Sometimes we walk the port.  But, we often happily enjoy the leisurely pace of a day onboard.

Yep they just closed out most all the Reflection itineraries…

I'm doing a B2B in Aug-Sep '24 book earlier this month.  My reservation remains but sailings  in those months show as "sold out."

Don't think they'd do that for a change of a port.  Maybe change of vessel? Full change of itinerary?

    Que Sera, sera.

We have our first Princess cruise booked. I’m unfamiliar with cabin categories. What category are these cabins?

Just got off of Sapphire - C750.  Lovely cabin, great wake view. Beam was not an issue.

Cabin was a S6 which is the category that is least expensive of the sweets. For comparison, I have also been in a side view Penthouse Suite on Grand. And the huge wakeview Owner's Suite on Crown, IIRC.  All were great. (PS, I've stayed in plenty of Insides, too😉)

This is my first time using laundry service as an elite member & booking an excursion. My account shows full charge for both. Do I get a credit before the final bill or is this something I need to see someone about now?

My laundry charges and credit are usually shown at same time overnight with each use.

Go to guest services, if not.

Anyone have experience with this 3 day sale? What is the coupon booklet? Should I wait to book  Med cruise on this June 9th?😎 Thanks

It is a Princess sale conducted by a chain of franchised brick and mortar stores, claiming exclusive Princess rates. If you want to compare prices, they will be happy to quote you and you can decide.

My experience in past years is that they are better than Princess direct, but probably not as good as large online agencies. YMMV

Typically not.  As you say, it typically doesn't appear until the start of your cruise.

That said, if you suddenly find a bump in your OBC, it may be an exception.  In any case, yes, if it's in your cruise planner, you can use it!  Was the amount the $ that you expected from your TA?

Kind of in between - several hundred $$ involved between Celebrity promotion, agency credits, group credits and a 4th source I don't remember at this moment. That's why I was uncertain. I asked the very nice girl (in Manila?) the source of the OBC, she just said "it's everything."

Note: I didn't complain. We will see.

Note 2: This could be avoided if Celebrity website indicated OBC's (as well as perks) available without making a dummy excursion booking to see what populates payment field.🤔

Now that we can test TWO days prior to embarkation (whew! can you imagine flying to Rome with 2 kids and THEN finding out you have COVID?!) I'm looking around for a rapid antigen test.  We have to drive 3.5 hours to the airport so we need to do it in the fairly early morning.  I am actually able to get tested in the office where I work but it's not clear what kind of documentation is required.  Is just a printed note from the doctor on letterhead acceptable or do they need something from the actual test itself as well?

(I work in an office that serves underserved and uninsured patients so we are not getting much call for international flights and pre-cruise testing, in case you are wondering why this hasn't come up before!)

We get an electronic form from the testing showing negative or positive (and detail of test).  Stored on phone or printed out.
