  1. We were on the brand new,  stunning Beyond on the first Mediterranean cruise following the maiden voyage.
We liked the 4 dining rooms and some of the new features; theatre, Eden lunch room etc.  Hoever ship was loud and had annoying, pulsating music everywhere, even on top deck outside.  Also we found seating furniture extremely uncomfortable everywhere.

Unless we read or hear that these issues improved on E-class, we stick with S ships and some other cruise lines.

It seems that Elite Plus gets two bags each sailing not just one.

Elite Plus used also to get free pressing (think was 2 items) and 1 dry cleaning item.  Did these benefits disappear ?

  3. We preferred Aqua for many years.

However for new booking 9 days on Eclipse, we concluded now ca USD 600 pp more for Aqua was not really worth it for us anymore and decided to go with C1 for location.  Maybe getting jaded after many cruises and too often same Blu menus  ?

@miched is correct. Not sure if it was at the discretion of the CC host for that particular cruise or fleetwide. I believe there was a code on the non Elite Seapass card indicating limited CC perks. The CC HH in the Sky Lounge was one of the perks.

When I shared a cabin with my daughter (no status) in 2015, she could accompany me to all Elite Plus events and this was automatic, no special permission necessary.

Yes we found the vibrations really bad on our recent cruise(19-29 June) we had to move rooms because of it. We were told it is because they are changing to eco fuel? Not sure this is the reason, however it is definitely a known issue on Reflection

There were already bad vibrations in certain rooms in 2014 (like 9th floor port, before last banks of elevators).  As my daughter was in early pregnancy, it made her even more nauseous.  But since ship was full, no change possible.  They just brought some  choc strawberries, wine and flowers, which did not really help my daughter.

  6. When we had inter European flights included on Swiss in Eco we could not choose seats, not even for a fee.  We tried calling and they said changes could only be made thru FBC.  At 24 hrs check in we then discovered FBC had reserved the preferred seats with more legroom.    And this was the case on the return flight and the next booked cruise as well. Very happy.
