I never paid much attention to the butter while cruising except to put it on my toast. Now I feel like I've been missing out on something.

Yes
Ripcord, Sea Plex, DD, just about everything.

Does the Quantum have stability problems ....??
No.

They haven't started yet.

We booked the Anthem due to Dynamic Dining. We don't want to have same dining times every night and want to decide ourself where we we dine at each evening. Some of the complimentary restaurants we didn't book at all - since we didn't like the menu or the dress code.
If concept will now change in Anthem - I hope they are giving possibility for full refund - since Dynamic Dining was the one of biggest elements for the ship and now the product will be changed to something totally different. This would also probably mean fixed seating times and not having possibility to any time dining. Doesn't sound very 2015 - maybe 30 years back.
The most important thing for RCCL is now to inform passengers ASAP about this change, so they can rearrange their plans if needed.
We liked DD on Quantum, pick the times you want where you want on the days you want. Have all the dining times for our Anthem 12 night booked not going to be too happy if we have to go through the process all over again. If I wanted to sail with Disney I would book with Disney.
Sounds like all the whining and crying has paid off for those opposed to DD. I think we'll cancel our Anthem ta.

My main issue is that DD may stink, but people are passing judgment before they even try it. That's 100% true for me. I have strong feelings that I may dislike DD as it was rolled out. However, I'm not running around a message board telling everyone who will read it that it stinks and I KNOW that it's going away and I KNOW that Quantum is a massive failure and I KNOW what every cruiser on the planet wants and it isn't DD.
That's crazy. I have hunches about what I will and won't like, but I'm reserving judgment until I try it, as people should do. Tell us your firsthand experience.
An entirely separate issue is the second part of speaking in absolutes. I feel the same for either Pro or Con on subjects. The minute you lower yourself to only speaking in absolutes, you are absolutely (ha!) headed down the wrong road. You're trying to force your side of the discussion by being the only authority.
One can only speak in absolutes for themselves. I never enjoy boiled carrots. Even then, I could one day find some insane chef who changes my mind, but at least I'm only speaking for myself. When you speak in absolutes for thousands of people, you are just wrong 99% of the time.
"No one likes it" Really? You polled the entire ship?
"It never worked." Really? Were you down there the entire dining period?
"All the food was cold!" Really? Did you use a thermometer on every plate in the dining room?
"It was always horrible!" Really? REALLY? REALLY REALLY?
DD worked fine for us. Service was fine, food was fine, no waits no lines. Maybe we got on the wrong ship:confused:

It would seem from posts from those on board now that the issues with DD, long lines, technology and under staffing are being resolved.

Do you have any thoughts on why Quantum's reviews are so widely opposite?
Psychologically, I'm curious if anyone sees some resemblances or demographics in the love / hate of this ship.
It's new and different. Not everyone likes new and different. I like new and different. We've been cruising since the 70's first cruise was on the Leonardo DiVinci. Cruising has changed considerably since then as has the cruising public.
We loved the ship and DD, never a fan of the cattle call for dinner. The option for MTD was an improvement for us even if it meant we had to occasionally wait for our table. Really looking forward to sailing on Quantum again in 27 days.

With changes on this ship as compared to other Royal ships, I am wondering if robes are still available for diamond and up cruisers. Makes a difference in packing:). Thank you.
Robes, soap, shampoo etc were in our stateroom when we arrived. You have to request ice if you want it in your room.

I for one am not happy.:(
I loved the flexibility of DD on Quantum
And I was looking forward to it on both Anthem and Allure
I love having 32 choices for entrée for dinner instead of the boring same old same old limited choice MDR menus.
A lone voice amongst the complainers.
You're not alone. I like the idea of selecting where I want to dine. DD worked fine for us on our two nite CTN. Don't see how they can change it back to traditional dining on Quantum or Anthem.

You have to have enough upper body strength to support your own weight on the trapeze. You are not tied on. You have the option of just swinging, swinging while hanging by your knees and dismounting with a back flip. Twas fun!
Start doing those pull ups!:D

For anyone who uses the gym/spa are there spin classes available and if so did you happen to check the cost. Also do they have TRX.
Thanks for all the information, very generous of all of you to give up your vacation time to post here.

Just off the legend this morning. Work is really moving along on the terminal, there is some work going on with the pier but no work on the parking structure. The area where everyone thinks the parking garage will be located is the unloading area for buses at the terminal area. The parking garage will adjoin the new building where the construction trailers are now and wrap around the new building. They won't be starting the parking garage until the terminal is complete. I'll post some pictures later.

Thanks Bill!
Thank you for your service.

From the description of the Windjammer on the deck plans;
Windjammer MarketplaceA global culinary pavilion that invites you to explore the world, dish by dish. Enticing food islands weave throughout, showcasing international fare while mapping your way between new, interactive stations with pressed paninis, fresh juices, and desserts at the on-site bakery. Plus a new 24-hour station, The Grill, with all-day breakfast and more on a menu that changes daily.
How stable is quantum class?

No different than any other ship we've been on. It was mighty rough on the return leg of our 2/2 cruise and the ship handled it just fine.
