  1. Do you think this is true for all ships? We sail on the Magic in 11 days. I like the new line up. We don't watch a lot of tv but we have our kids and sometimes they get tired a little early so its nice to watch something when they are ready for bed and we just aren't quite yet. HGTV and the Food Network is pretty much all I watch anyway. Even my kids prefer the Food Network to cartoons a lot of time.
  2. I love Alchemy too! It was our favorite spot on our last cruise. We loved our mixologist. This time we have the kids so we won't be able to spend as much time there as last time but we will be stopping by once or twice for sure. I am excited for Guys Pigs and Anchor. We have never been on a ship that had that option. I heard it is a good place to try the first day as it doesn't get as busy as some other places.
  3. I will definitely report back after our trip. Only 18 more days! We are so excited. This is the biggest ship we have been on and the first time we are getting a Lido balcony room. Thanks for all the info!
  4. We are going on the Magic in just three weeks! I would love to hear what everyone thinks of this ship. What were your favorite things to do? Anything we should avoid or that people didn't like? Tips, tricks, favorite spots? I would love to hear it all. We are so excited!
  5. My family and I are getting ready to go on a 7 day cruise on the Magic at the end of January. We have two kids ages 7 and 10. My husband and I have been on Carnival before but have only taken the kids on one other Disney cruise so we have never used the kids club on Carnival. From the information I have found it sounds like they take the kids out of the club for activities. I don't really want my kids walking around the ship if they are not with us. Do you have the choice for them to not be allowed out of the club for activities. I want them to be able to have fun but I want them to stay in the club until I come back. Also I would love to hear your options on the Kids Club in general. Do your kids like it? Any activities that are a "don't miss"? Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  6. We will be cruising in January 2019 on the Carnival Magic to St. Thomas. It will be my husband and I with our two kids ages 7 and 9. We have never been to St. Thomas and I would love to hear some ideas for how to spend the day. We will be in port from 11:00 until 7:00. We already have a couple beach days from our other ports on this cruise so we aren't sure if we should do another beach or if there is something else of interest that we should do. We are pretty laid back and with the kids being little I wouldn't want to do anything too adventurous. Any suggestions are appreciated!
  7. We just booked a poolside Cabana in Amber Cove for our cruise on the Magic in January. Can anyone tell me are any of the loungers by the pool reserved for use with the Cabana or are those just on a first come basis? Thanks!
