Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We will be on the Breeze starting on Monday and have the DOU in the casino. I am more of a wine drinker than beer or cocktails but the wine selection in the Casino's are limited at best and not wines I care for. I have seen the casino bar menu and it is limited as well. What are some of the better drinks in the casino? Dave
  2. It looks like you can't make reservations until you have paid in full. I saw this on the website.
  3. They charge you 3% if you get chips at a table game. There is no charge for slot machines. If you play table games and want chips, go to a slot machine and load it up with what you want and do a minimum spin then cash out to avoid the 3% charge. Good luck!
  4. We have a cruise booked under my wife's VIFP since she gets better offers. We booked a "Drinks on us for you and a companion while gambling in the casino", Am I automatically assigned as her companion since we are sailing together in the same room?
  5. This sounds like a clever and customer friendly way to get around the Texas laws. Thanks for all of the feedback everybody.
  6. Just curious if you get the Premier package on the Regal Princess out of Galveston if you are able to get drinks on embarkation day. If I recall correctly on Carnival out of Galveston their drink packages are not available until the day after embarkation. Just curious if any has any experience with the Regal out of Galveston.
  7. Can I get a glass and take it with me to the casino or any of the entertainment venues?
  8. I have been on ~15 cruises on other lines but I am looking at booking a Princess cruise out of Galveston on the Regal Princess. We are wine drinkers and some of the wines on the Premier list appeal to us. What venues can I get the choices from the Premier wine list? Are there places I can go and just pickup a glass like I would a beer or cocktail? For me the upgrade to the Premier looks like a good deal. Anyone have any strong thoughts or recommendations? Looking forward to giving Princess a try. Thanks, DaveO
  9. We cruised on the Dream back in November and had a great time. It does not have as many optional dining choices as some of the other ships but we enjoyed the steakhouse on the first night. We just got off of the Panorama on Sunday and the expereince as far as quality goes was similar to the Dream.
  10. We will be sailing on the Firenze in November and all of the specialty dining choices are all sold out. Has anyone out there been able to book specialty dining on the Firenze? DaveO
  11. Does Carnival do anything to celebrate Valentines day? Just curious if there is anything different or special in the main dining room or the specialty dining rooms. We will be on the Panorama during Valentines day if that helps. DaveO
  12. I just got off of the Dream and I bought one of each tumbler. They are $15 plus the 18% service charge. As far as refills go, they will fill it up with a frozen drink but there is not any more alcohol than a regular sized drink since the alcohol is poured and then the frozen mix is added. By the way the frozen drinks are now $12.50!
  13. I don't see why they would not be there since they just rolled this out. The one caveat is you are only able to bet on events that end before the cruise ends.
  14. I was able to use it on the Dream last week. It is a pretty easy to use kiosk. You have to get the tickets cashed in at the Casino Cashier.
