Well, you know if you live near a cruise port and you are approaching your expiration date, you might have numbers skewed higher than if you live in the middle of a vast continent, and you are not that close to your expiration date (I pray), then number of cruises might have some disparity.
We are all on the mother wheel, circling round the in the cosmic circle... some of us are at one point and some of us at another.
I don't have my timeline in front of me as I read this, but I am 58 years old. I have been to 5 continents and Australia, several islands near nowhere and I work for a living as does my wife, we came from modest backgrounds, both with post graduate degrees, and we make a good living.
So, we have done and been to a lot of places and have experienced some exhilarating and some boring and some educational and some trying places.
I am Diamond Plus for the purpose of this thread, but what the heck does that have to do with anything?????
Good lord can this thread get any dumber????
Just sayin

Australia is a continent.:)

Mariner's dry dock is after the Global Odyssey.
We are going on Mariner in 4 weeks, I'll check it out.

If you are going to 5 different countries you will need 5 different currencies, as well as USD for the cruise, if you plan to buy anything.
It is usually quite easy to exchange money when you get there, but you will need the local currency at your first stop, to pay for transport to your hotel or cruise port.

More than 10 per year.
We do 9-10 because we found we needed more down time between cruises.:p
That's over 100 days per year, as our average length per cruise is 12 days.

A few cruises we have had information on the first day telling us which days will be formal, smart casual and casual.
So you may be able to go to Guest Services and ask.
When we did Radiance 12 nights Christmas & New Year 2014, we had formal night on the second night (welcome aboard), Christmas Day & New Years Eve.
So 3, not the usual twice for a 12 night cruise.
Cheers

I had to change our JS to one that would take 3 pax, when DH couldn't go, and I took 2 DDs instead. 2 happy DDs, one unhappy DH.
I just phoned them, no problem. It was after final payment, and I only pay $50 for the change of names.:)

If you want the DL to yourself go on an Asian or Aussie sailing. Alaska sailings also have low numbers in the D and up category.
Don't come to Australia. Our Diamond Lounges are filling up.;p;p;p

So any tips on how you pack it in your checked luggage so it stays in 1 piece? I've got visions of red wine through my luggage :o I'm guessing your other suggestion has worked so will consider that :)
We always bring on our wine in our carry on bags.
Drop off suitcases and go to the grog shop.:)
If you put them in your suitcases they usually end up in the naughty room.
We have taken bottle of wine home, when we had more than we can drink, :p wrapped in a towel, and never had a problem.

I am agreeing with everyone else.
It's not worth getting wine in Singapore.
We always take 2 bottles from Sydney, or any other Australian port.(and sometimes 4 bottles).:)
To answer your other question. If you take 4 bottles, they SHOULD take 2 off you on embarkation, and return them to you on the last night of the first leg.
But if you board separately, with 2 bottles each...........................................................

We have done Royal Family Suites on Rhapsody, Radiance & Legend.
2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and free drinks.:)

Interesting, we love Yorkeys and often have lunch there when in Cairns. We tender off Yorkeys next Feb on Radiance Top End cruise. So where exactly in the club is this laundry?
It was 10 years ago, on our first RCI cruise.
Sea you on Radiance, Top End cruise.:)
Cheers
-
If you tender to Yorkey's Knob, Cairns, we have used the free laundry at the Yacht Club where you are dropped off.:)

Quote:In addition, we ended up with one less cruise point than we had nights at sea. [we had taken longer cruises] We tried without success to get them to give the extra night to us. Arrg!
Very annoying, when we will be 1 point short of Pinnacle on our next cruise.
Had to make it a B2B to get the point.:)
Does the Pinnacle badge have real Diamonds? LOL
-
That's what I expected but I've never actually asked for a drink with pineapple juice so figured anything was possible. Knew they had OJ and cranberry.
I'm pretty sure they have always had pineapple juice, as I started on Rum punches, when I turned Diamond 6 years ago.
Your DW should try those as well.:)
BTW I love Bay/Sea Breezes as well.:)
-
I find the quality of Cosmos to vary considerably.
Recently they haven't been good.
So I revert to Vodka, pineapple juice and cranberry juice.:)
-
We love Chris Brown.:)
-
We have stay on this deck, but a little further down the corridor.
I don't believe you will have a problem, and there wouldn't be any difference between the 2 cabins you mentioned.
I found it to be a very convenient location.:)
-
We just did that cruise.
Formal night was day 2.
No-one dressed up, except us.:(
-
What are the lounges on the Radiance? I know DL, but is it CL or SL????
Not in a hurry to learn I don't sail until next August... or sorry August 2018
JC
Radiance has a DL & CL on Deck 13.
Both have a nice view.
DL does an overflow into the VCL when necessary.
We love the Radiance for the bar in the CL.:)
Cheers

We are purchasing a Multi Entry Visa, just to be sure we are covered.
I couldn't figure out if Hong Kong is counted.:)
Shanghai, Xiamen, Hong Kong 2 days.

We will be Pinnacle in October, on Voyager.
Just need to book one more cruise before then.:)
Whoops, booked a couple more cruises, so now September.:p:p:p

Our next block is the Pinnacle Stratum.
I know that it is sent to you, with your names on it.
Does it have the ship name on it, as we don't have a Mariner block?

On our recent B2B on Ex I did notice, and commented to DH, that the food had improved.
Ex is the only ship I have been on recently that still has my favourite desert, Key Lime Pie

Sad face.
Congrats.
I tried to get our TA to upgrade us to an Owner's Suite, as the prices dropped dramatically.
She wanted to charge us the non sale full price.:(
I will try not to disappointed, as this will be our Pinnacle cruise, and we were happy with the price we paid.
See you in the CL & DL.
