  1. Wearing a mask being mandatory outside your cabin is like talking about smoking onboard. I don't think we have gotten a definitive answer on the effectiveness of wearing a mask for the Chinese Flu. Since the whole thing started we have been lied to, been scare mongered, and seen so many in the Health Institutions disagreeing with each other, you wonder if anyone knows anything. All I believe is if you get it, get treated early, don't wait to go on a ventilator. That is a death warrant. I believe the Medical Team onboard should have the supplies to treat it. Just my thoughts. I would not cruise
  2. We have a lot in common. I grew up in the 50's rolled up cigs in the sleeves, blue jeans, Bill Haley and the Comets, Air Force got the 10 cent cigarettes, and think the masks are stupid. Just hoping the Cruise Lines don't go overboard to make sure they don't hurt anyone's feelings. Have a good day!
  3. I think you need to read some of the cruises that are currently sailing about masks. Don't know how Florida came up in the conversation. As far as you being 75 years old, congratulations you made it this long, you must be a smoker. I'll up you by 3 years on the age! 🙂
  4. Typical non-response! Not one answer to their procedures. Are you willing to wear a mask all day?
  5. If we wait for the Government to make a decision on what's safe or not, cruising will never resume. The CDC and all the health agencies have not given expert advice yet. They keep contradicting themselves on masks/no masks, airborne/not airborne, treatment Hydroxy pack yes/no. All we have been fed about Covid 19 is from Bureaucrats as they don't want input from real Infectious Disease Experts who treat it everyday. Wait for a vaccine? How many people have faith in it? I have no faith in the CDC or NIH. I believe the Cruise Lines should carry known effective treatments on board the ships so you
  6. Just got off the Statendam. Smoking at the Seaview Bar, Lido aft and Casino except for one day. Casino was well ventilated and didn't smell of heavy smoke.
  7. Probably not near as much as sitting in bumper to bumper traffic on a California Freeway.
  8. I would like to see that scientific study. I've been around long enough that I lived through the cooling scare, global warming, and now climate change. A lot of this type of science is based on how much grant money they can get.Linda of like our politicians staying in office to see how much wealth they can accumulate. Put that air quality monitor in a Casino and get some real research.
  9. I would say that if you got in a smoker's face as he/she was dragging on it you might get some smoke but the smoker already inhaled the carcinogens. Smell of smoke is a different animal. I can't stand it either in an enclosed non ventilated area. I just feel sorry for people that believe all the doom and gloom, like following the 16 year old, Greta, from Sweden. then again there are ships that don't allow smoking in the Casino. Life is full of choices isn't it?
  10. I guess you could just stay out of the Casino then if you believe in the second hand smoke bull. Not only that but Climate Change is more likely to get you first. 🙂
  11. You are more likely to die on your way to the cruise than a fire from a cigarette on the cruise.
  12. Don't tell it like it is.😂 The crusaders will hunt you down.Smoking is the greatest topic to draw the ire of many. Goes from second hand smoke down to the smell on someone.
