  1. We took this excursion on out recent 8/6/17 Summit trip. The boat was nice for us (late 60's) as there was

shade available if wanted. Also a nice feature for the younger crowd, which was the bulk of the people on board, was the front of the boat was covered with mats rather than having on sit or lay on netting. They took us to a cove where the snorkeling was good, (not fantastic, but we're jaded as we've snorkeled a lot) with a nice variety of fish and corals. It was nice to snorkel in calm water ( they may go out on open water at times, but there had been a storm so they took us there. Not sure if they go to the same place all the time.) We have our own gear, but they gave out masks, googles, fins, and a noodle ( Iiked that they didn't make us wear a life vest) The site was up against a cliff and after snorkeling awhile I enjoyed just floating around, looking at the flowers and birds. Also, it was shallow in places and you could stand to take a rest. There was also a beach some swam into.On the way back they gave each one free rum punch (you could get more for $2.00) and they had sodas. No food. It was a relaxing 3 hours (we went the first day in Bermuda at 9:30 AM) and I would do it again!

  2. I have a question about one of your posts. You said you needed early seating for a shore excursion.

Who did you ask to get that early seating? How did you contact them?

We are in the concierge level for the Summit 7/30 and so far on a wait list for 6:00 MDR Traditional dining.

We really don't want to eat at 8:30 (being an older couple who are used to eating at 5:00 at home), but I fear that 's what we'll end up with because I called Captain's club and they checked with dining who said it's doubtful. Even Select dining isn't available

    Thank you for your help.:)

  3. Thank you for all the suggestions for snorkeling spots.:) We have been to them.

I'm now looking for info on excursions from the ship as we have ship's onboard credit to spend.

Wanting to know if anyone has done the Catamaran Coral Reef snorkel excursion?

  4. Has anyone been on the Bermuda Triangle Shipwreck Snorkel tour or the Catamaran Coral Reef snorkel tour offered by RC? We have onboard money to use that's why I'm not doing this independently.

Just want to make sure neither of these goes to Devil's Island (went there on a tour once and wasn't impressed)

Also, does anyone know the name of the catamaran for the coral reef tour (went on Restless Native once and really liked it). Thanks.

  6. Here's another thought! Go on your own, it's easy and less expensive. We like to snorkel there and have gone 3 times.

You get a cab at the cab stand on the main street. It's a quick ride 10 min. and costs about $15 one way (that was for 2.)

You pay the $21. entrance fee there (sometimes there's a $2 off coupon online) The sea lion show and snorkeling are free. We have our own equipment so I don't know about renting it there, but they have a good website, and you can see how clean and pretty the property is! As you enter go left, there is a small beach where your non snorkelers could sit on chairs or go into the shallow water. Proceed further left, and there are many chairs. Here there is a wall with steps going down into deep water where you can snorkel. You don't have to swim out very far to find a nice variety of fish. They also have a pool. When you're ready to go back to the ship, they'll call a cab or one will already be at the front gate.

If you have any more questions, I'll try to answer them.
