Not anymore, but she did last Wednesday.  Started feeling better on Thursday/Friday.  She never had a fever, just sore throat/congestion Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.

Reading on this, I saw that the “new” BA.4/BA.5 sub variants are increasing now, but have a slight relation to Delta, and the article I was reading said those that had Delta had more immunity to these new ones.  I had Delta last August, so I am wondering if that’s what happened and why I (so far, checked again last night) haven’t tested positive and feel fine…

Same with my Mother and Brother.  Both had Delta last fall/winter.  Neither is positive.  There was also another cabin (in quarantine, you learn to talk to fellow quarantine-mates over the balcony) where one tested positive and the other never got it, and the one that didn’t get it had it in the fall as well…

    Interesting observation!

We were on the Grand Princess April 4 to Hawaii and my husband got off the ship with congestion/allergy symptoms.  I did too in the next two days.  We flew to LasVegas before going home for 4 nights.  We both felt fine last day in Las Vegas. We heard that the ship had some covid but we never felt the need to test.  So far we don't think we have had covid since the beginning. We are vaccinated and double boosted.

    Who knows?

Have not sailed on the Edge class yet, seems we always wind up on the Equinox which is a great ship, pretty classy and not too big, in fact we are sailing on her next Sunday the 12th.

We have done 28 cruises, (Princess, RCCL, Celebrity and Disney)four on Equinox and it is our favorite ship!

Just got an Upsell Offer from Princess from our Mini-Suite to a Full-Suite for $699 per person!!  Let's do this Alaska drive-by in style :classic_laugh:

We got an offer to upgrade from balcony to junior suite for $199pp.  I dont want to spend any more more money for this cruise.  We got sticker shock with the airfare to Seattle.

BTW, even though we are now in COVID isolation (DW was positive night of Glacier Bay - I am still negative - knock on wood), this has been an enjoyable cruise.  Staff is wonderful, Crown Grill was the best meal I’ve had on Princess, and even now, in isolation, I can order Vanilla Bean Lattes through the app.  Not a bad thing!

    Did you have symptoms?

I'm wondering why, if they are getting into Juneau even too late for excursions, don't they just add Ketchikan back in and get rid of Juneau.  Ketchikan is the first Alaskan town you get to, so it seems it would take less time.  Personally, I'd rather have Ketchikan and Skagway, than a few evening hours in Juneau.

    I agree

Agree- get out if you can. The inside passage is really worth seeing.  I prefer one way- Vancouver to Alaska means no problems getting a covid test the day you disembark to fly home.

They announced itinerary change after final payment.

We are booked on the Crown the next two weeks.  Tomorrow is our go/nogo date, we will see if things go OK today, although it doesn't look to me like they are going to make Skagway by 2:30, more like 6:00, if that is the case I think I'll be cancelling.  I booked these to see Alaska, not just be near it.

You are going to cancel?  How much money will you loose

Last visited both in 2019.  Ketchikan had really changed since 2004.  I did go on a kayak trip, 1/2 day that was very nice.  Ketchikan has built facilities for the tourist trade.

    Glacier bay is incredible.

If you are going to Juneau and you leave late, there was a dinner cruise out to the bay where we watched a whale fin slapping for almost 30 minutes.  Then watched the antics of a young seal trying to join an older, larger seal on a buoy.  Just couldn’t make the leap!  Beautiful views of the sunset on the high glaciers.

How did you book the dinner cruise?

Are any of these excursions/activities available after 5pm?  We've just had a change to our itinerary and will now be in ISP from 5-10pm

We are on the crown Princess June 11th and this was added to our itinerary.

See if you can sneak into he Lahaina Yacht Club a couple doors down from Kimo's-- very discreet entrance so easy to miss. Its a private club so chances of success are not guaranteed (or likely) but every once and a while they'll let you in for a drink. Incredible locals people watching (and not a bad bar or view either). One of Lahaina's hidden gems.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

Didn't check, but seem to remember you are docking at Kahului.  If so, we personally feel the Lahaina On Your Own tour is a wise choice.  In case you hadn't thought about it, sit on the driver's side of the bus going to Lahaina and the passenger side returning for the best ocean views during those drives.

    Thanks for the tip!
