  1. I`ve been to both Alaska and 3 times to Norway

Both incredible cruises to sail on - Memories to last a life time

I agree on layers, I took thick hoodies with me to Alaska expecting it to be freezing and ended up swapping them out for zip up hoodies and could walk around each port in jeans and a tshirt`s due to the warm weather

Same for Norway, always take layers and an umbrella, and a backpack and more importantly a camera !!

@cruisefan2012 if you are referring to me, and even if not, travel agents usually get notice from the cruiselines 10-14 days in advance of new deployments opening for sale.  Right now any "normal" timeframe for deployments are out of whack and are very unpredictable.

That said I think we will see fall 2023-Spring 2024 Australia/NZ announced somewhere in the January-March 2022 timeframe.  They may wait to see what, if any of the January-March 2022 season they are able to operate (fall 2021 has already been cancelled), how many guest accept move-overs to fall 2022-Spring 2023 as the result of any recent or future cancellation announcement, ass it may dictate the amount of space for 202-23 and if they feel they need additional capacity for 2022-23 as a result.

Yes, I did mean you - Sorry I was too lazy to quote you !!

Thank you for that info, I have a Caribbean Princess Canada New England cruise in September 2023 that I`m debating moving to a Sydney New Zealand round trip in 2024

BTW I love Princess Cruises, I`ve only sailed with them once on Star Princess from Vancouver to Alaska and the differences were noticeable from P&O Cruises (UK)

  3. Wrong thread I know but the guy with all the Princess info is always spot on !! (British saying)

Do you know when the next Australia & New Zealand brochure launch is? I was thinking 2023 / 2024

I`m 40 (Somehow...?!) in December 2023 - And would love to have a cruise from Sydney to New Zealand booked to celebrate - Ideally in 2024 time....

    A thousand thank you`s xx

  4. I agree, would have been nice to see MORE of the ship, and the interiors

I suppose we will have to wait till the UK cruises before we can see what the interior of the ship looks like when people make youtube videos

  5. Would have been nice if they had done a quick (didnt have to be an in depth tour ) just maybe show some cabins for more then a micro second - quick butchers at some other big features of Iona

  6. you didnt miss much to be honest

Micah Paris (Who...and some kids sang) and some bloke called Gary Barlow "sang".... - thank god for the mute button on my laptop

We saw Paul Ludlow, Captain Wesley Dunlop, and Dame Irene Hays - Event hosted by Jo Whiley

Luckily and thankfully the bottle smashed against the hull

  7. I literally watched your Ventura video on youtube last night and saw your post just and had to say hello, thank you for posting your video.I look forward to more videos in the future

I`m not a fan of Ventura, I was on board in 2013 I think for a 2 night Belgium trip... I much preferred Azura, Having sailed on her 3x over the years

West Coast Departures has blown my current 2022 travel plans up in the air !!!

I fancy Crown Princess Vancouver / California cruise......Depending on the price I may book

I`ve been patiently, very patiently awaiting that EXACT itinerary - Would have been great to sail it on the Star Princess when I was on her in May 2018 !!

Well Mr Presto2 is 60 today

We should have been going up to the Radisson at Manchester before flying out to Azura tomorrow.  Oh well ... it will have to wait.  The sun is shining and we are all still safe and well here in Stoke on Trent so swapping the Radisson for Biddulph Grange Gardens. Have the champagne on ice and he is now smiling a little having got over the shock of the cards ... 😄😀😊

Happy Birthday Mr Presto from a fellow Staffordian........

Wowzz, you are right.  Remind me when they issue the April 2023 onwards cruises?  Is it September this year?

    Its usually September time

From what I can tell Azura will be back in Malta for Summer 2023......

That is the problem with pre-registering.  You cannot choose your cabin.

I`ve just discovered quoting, can you tell....

No, you cant pick your cabin at the moment but when they "officially..." go on sale you could always ring P&O and say can I have X cabin instead...... I have done that a couple of times

For me I`m a light sleeper, I dont like being by lifts, stairs or a laundrette..... I`m the same in hotels after an awful nights sleep in Belfast once in 2011 as I was in a room by a lift and could hear people coming and going and the lift bell all night ....

Even receiving the confirmation 4 times?

There is a slight difference in each one with the wording on the end but why they could not have covered that in one email ......... oh wait it is P&O🤣

Yes, I got 4 email confirmations from P&O - each one different...

As far as I can tell bookings are open. I have not "pre registered" before and I'm not on a high level in the Peninsular Club but I clicked on the button marked "pre register" that was in place of "book now" and with the exception of being able to choose an specific cabin everything was the same with a good discount applied at the end and deposit paid. I have even received the confirmation (4 times).

    Same for me aswell !!

  14. Wowzz

Thank you for putting up the Iona short break itineraries the other day

I`ve managed to pre-register a cruise on Iona to Hamburg Rotterdam Bruges in February 2023 for a very good price

I did look at Arvia for the Caribbean but was way more then I had expected for a single traveller

    Thank you again

  15. Wowzz

No problems - thank you anyways

    I can wait for Wednesday

Always said I never fancied the Caribbean but may give it a go on Britannia ( I love Britannia ) or Arvia - depending on the price of course.......

    Thank you

Sorry if the quality is not great. Looks like P&O are phasing out the short breaks,  I assume because they are unprofitable.
