Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Could be an option If the taxi direct is more expensive!
  2. My backup plan was a taxi there and back, I asked for a quote just waiting for them to confirm availability and a price. We live close enough to grab a taxi, but I just like to jump in my car at the end of the holiday. All the multi-stories still require a taxi, so may as well do that option.
  3. Thanks for all the replies, had a busy evening so just catching up. Hopefully one of the options will work that I'll go back to my fall back plan!
  4. I did have a look at West Quay and couldn't see where it said it allowed multi night stays but I saw someone else mention it.
  5. Interesting idea, I wanted to avoid Taxi's but as they are organising it and I'll get Hilton points. It is interesting if a little expensive £192 The other 2 parking options you mention are also full. Thanks
  6. With CPS? I just tried and it says fully booked
  7. Yes tried them first they are the Cunard recommended one as well. On one of the other sites they were showing no parking available until Thursday. People are generally booking up cruises months in advance so part of the problem but you might have expected spaces free up from the cancelled TA cruises this replaces.
  8. Managed to get booked on the cruise but have spotted that at this late a date there is no official parking available at the port. I guess parking in the nearby multi-stories and catching a taxi is an option but getting a taxi on disembarkation probably won't be so easy, I assume there will be a big queue issue? Anyone have any other options? Thank you
  9. Now you have cost me a pot of cash when I wasn't expecting to book a cruise for a month or two at least! Also panicking on how to organise it all by Tuesday! Especially as we have never been on Cunard.
  10. Well that was a trauma! We got to the book button at 1pm but the site then crashed after a few minutes. Two of us trying and 20 mins later it loaded on one of the laptops and all booked for a Queens Grill suite. Now it's complete panic, never been on a Cunard ship and having to cancelling things next week as well! I may have some questions soon lol
  11. Thanks, I'll take a look. It wasn't just a cruise right now, I was primarily interested on which cruise lines do the best last minute deals so if we are bored we can jump on a cruise if the price was right. Mainly because I want to be driven by an offer rather than saying let's go on a cruise next week and being disappointed with the offers.
  12. We recently moved close to Southampton and as we both work from home and online, we thought last minute cruises from Southampton or Portsmouth might be a cheap option. We are flexible enough to potentially see a real bargain in the morning and be at the port for lunchtime! Although a few days notice is better. Are there good deals at a great price or are they full of limitations. Do any of the cruise lines from Southampton or Portsmouth have better last minute discounts than the others? What are the problems, if any on doing last minute cruise bookings? Are you likely to get a better deal using an agents site over going direct for the last minute deals. Thanks
  13. Yes, call Sailor Services and ask them to link to your friend, you will need to give them the friends name on the booking and the booking reference and they will link them for you.
  14. If it is Miami then you leave your luggage and they move it. All the B2B cruisers are then taken to customs and then back to ship. Hopefully your luggage will be in your new cabin and you can have the ship pretty much to yourself and the other B2B passengers. If you have a similar cabin on both cruises, they may try and keep you in the same cabin.
  15. @HolsAddict We connected for the loot. You will see people under sailor mates you can delete them from your contacts, unless you want to ping them onboard (to buy them a drink from the $50 loot lol). Deleting sailor mates doesn't affect the loot. You are see extras because there is a bug/feature in Virgins system. If someone links with someone and they both chose a cheap don't allocate cabin until just before departure then it says they are cabin mates as they are in the same cabin number, which is "no cabin". Very irritating.
