  1. The perks for the Pinnacle Suite are basically the same as the Neptune Suites with the difference being the amount of space, and the fresh flowers are a bit larger arrangement. The Concierge is very respectful of your wishes. I traveled in February with my Daughter and 2 year old Grand Daughter, and we were given something that I have never received before while staying in the Pinnacle Suite. I'm not sure if if was because of my 5 Star Mariner Status in combination with the Pinnacle Suite, but the Concierge came for us the day of disembarkation. She pushed the stroller for my Daughter put me on one elevator, and then said she would follow with my family in the next elevator that had room. When I got off the elevator, the Pinnacle Grill Manager, called my name, and asked me to come stand by him near the bank of elevators. I was watching anxiously for the family, and he said here they come now. The elevator opened, the Concierge and my family emerged. I realized they had been in contact by radio. She took us to the head of the line, the Captain thanked us for sailing with them, and we were told a person would be waiting at the end of the gangway. The person was at the end of the gangway, escorted us to an open elevator, and told us that when we got off the elevator, the man would be waiting to help us with our luggage. The man was indeed waiting, called me by name, and proceeded to help us with the luggage, took us to the head of the line at customs, and since we drove, took us to the parking garage, loaded the bags, asked if we knew how to get to our road, and wished us a safe trip. I have always received superb service on HAL, but never have I received this kind of service. This is the one of several reasons why I continue to sail with HAL.
  2. We have rented cabanas there several times and really enjoyed them. We started renting the Villas though, and we have never gone back. The Villas have their own bathroom and because of mobility issues, we have found them better. You will enjoy the cabanas but note they tend to go quickly.

    MY husband has actually had his give him problems twice during cruises. The first time we found the solution on line, and the second with Customer Service.
  4. My experience is that it is not open, but it is best to ask the Pinnacle Grill Manager for days it is open upon boarding. The Pinnacle Grill lunch is delightful.
  5. It would be terrible to be turned away. I would renew the passport before your cruise. You can also do an expedited passport. I have done that before, and it has been back within 10 days. It cost a bit more, but it was worth it.
  6. Sail I understand that they are in Alaska, but then they will be moved to Australia at some point for regular sailings.
  7. I agree that they have a very nice lunch menu. They are not open every day for lunch, but as suggested, check when you board.
  8. Sail, they wanted to know who I was paying for so that the guest would not receive a charge on their bill.
  9. I have friends that live in Hawaii, and they said that it depends on which way the winds are blowing that day and the activity of the volcano.
  10. Sail it is so hard to tell people that just because they are paying double or more, that every request will not be granted. They do the best they can to help you, but you are not the only person on the ship with special request or needs. It's hard for people to understand that they are paying for the extra space and that all suites are granted the same perks you are.
  11. I have sailed to Hawaii four times, three on HAL and once on the Grand Princess. I love the cruise to Hawaii, and it was my husband's very favorite. Although Princess was very similar, I give the extra nod to HAL for service and the cabins.
  12. I have always hosted a group of friends the speciality restaurants, and I gave the room number, the guests name. My discount applied to the entire meal. Enjoy your cruise and the speciality restaurants.
  13. I suffer from several food allergies, and HAL has always been very helpful in making sure that I am well taken care of. The Pinnacle Suite is very nice, and I have stayed in them often. There is a large fridge, but as far as a freezer area, there is none. If you need something extra cold, the Cabin Steward has brought in a ice bucket filled with ice that we place in the fridge, and he replaces it for the overnight period. HAL is already very well equipped with gluten free items, and I must say some are very good. Basically the Pinnacle Suite is real estate. Enjoy your cruise.
  14. The biggest perk of the Pinnacle Suite is the size. Course by course dining has been offered for years, and just contact your Concierge for details. We have also had evening dining on the veranda complete with table cloths and course by course. Enjoy your cruise.
