I doubt the PVP has the pull to have offers sent your way. Probably just their offers skew towards those that don't have any cruises booked, haven't cruised in a while, etc., to get them back onboard.
You never know though. Carnival's offer roulette is a strange mistress.
That makes sense. First time in almost 20 years we do not have a Carnival cruise planned.

The New England clam chowda was $6 on the Panorama a few months ago.

A buddy of mine, who is Mexican, has a green card. We cruised from Long Beach and returned to Long Beach and he was fine. So, I'm told if the loop returns to the same port, then the green card is sufficient.

or, do what my bil does...he buys 100 shares and after he gets his obc, he promptly sells

i guess you just have to do the math. I bought 100 shares at around $9 a share 3 years ago. That's $900 and in that time, I've taken more than 9 cruises. So, I've already made my money back, plus I still have my original 100 shares. So, if carnival goes bk tomorrow, it wouldn't matter to me.

Anything else great other than the lobster roll? I'm definitely gonna try that.
After all these years of cruising, I always forget Seafood Shack while onboard. We were just talking about it at dinner the other day, wondering if it's worth it.
We usually get the clam strips and calamari in addition to the clam chowder.
It's pretty good and not that expensive compared to other dining options.

I think it's totally worth it. My son loves the clam chowder.

Interesting responses. I've made lots of money in the market and I've lost lots of money. The market paid for my house and a few of my toys including my Corvette.
Sometimes, it's more lucky that being good.

The first Cruise Elegant evening is scheduled for the 3rd or 4th day of the cruise; the second Cruise Elegant evening is scheduled for the 4th or 5th day prior to the end of the cruise, schedules permitting. 3-5 Day cruise: one Cruise Elegant evening. 6 Day or longer cruise: two Cruise Elegant evenings.

just got it accepted for a casino (not free but discounted) offer
Seems like it's a hit or miss on the stock obc

That's a good point, @nydney1. Would suck if you didn't have a passport and birth certs.
I have to wait as we're taking more land vacations as cruising is getting more expensive. It's sad that a land vacation in Florida is cheaper than a week long cruise.

After your room attendant got the tips they don't care anymore. On my last cruise at the dining room, they didn't even come back to the table to get extra tips. They figured they had gotten theirs and ignored us.
Geez, that sucks...

Did my kids' passports and was stated 8-10 weeks.

After I told my PVP that we're not cruising on Carnival this year, there's been a lot more offers coming...
