We've been working on using the big toilet, it's not going great. For piece of mind, I found the smallest most lightweight potty chair on Amazon ($5) it's not great quality, but it will be good for a week cruise. It also seems less yucky to pack a potty chair that's never been used! ;)

After facing a similar dilemma, someone recommended this:
Costco Scenera, it's cheap, super light and can be used on planes!
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Cosco-Scenera-NEXT-Convertible-Car-Seat-Choose-your-Print/41126739
For $39, it's hard to beat! We took it off the ship to use in the taxi in Cozumel too.

We did an inside room with a 2 year old, it was too small. I'd get an ocean view, they have a couch and are considerably bigger. We are getting the deluxe ocean view with our now 3 year old.

I'd definitely contact Atlantis to be sure, but they do sell an observer pass. Their website has a web chat where they'll answer your questions.
http://www.atlantisbahamas.com/thingstodo/dolphincay/observerandbeachpass
Dolphin Cay Beach Pass (Observer): $30 per person (Available for sale on-island only)
Add a Beach Pass with an Interaction party: $15 per person (Available for sale on-island only)
The Beach Pass package includes use of chaise lounge chairs with umbrellas, towels, and all day beach service with complimentary non-alcoholic beverages.
For the safety of everyone, Observers must remain on the Beach and are not permitted to enter the water.
I believe the cab was about $4 per person each way, but it's been awhile.

Glad you had a good cruise!

I don't know from personal experience, but as I was searching for information on bringing a potty chair, I came across some posts that said they did fit on the cruise toilet seats.

I know the Magic has a deluxe ocean view room that sleeps five.
From Carnival:
On Carnival Magic, Deluxe Ocean View staterooms are a great choice for families who want to let the sun shine in as they sail. Rooms in this category feature great views, a full bathroom — plus a separate washroom — and while stateroom configurations vary, certain Deluxe Ocean View rooms have space to sleep up to five cruisers.

I guess I should add that the potty seat is great for peeing, she has no issues with public restrooms. It's going poop that I'm really concerned with, she pretty much only wants her little potty chair for that. That's my main concern, I don't want her to make herself sick holding it.

My little girl is 3 and is potty trained. She prefers using her potty chair at home, sometimes she'll use the potty seats, but rarely just the normal toilet.
I'm curious to what others in this position do. Bring the potty chair, just the seat topper, or chance it and hope they'll use the normal toilet?
Please weigh in with your opinion or experience. If you do bring the potty chair, do you pack it or just carry it in the open or a carry on bag?
Thank you!

This looks fun:

Experience eco tours through the pristine backcountry waters of Key West for 2 hours of shark and wildlife viewing.

Playa Mia in Cozumel was great, my then 2 year old loved it!

I'm fairly certain you can swim with the Dolphins at Atlantis.
Here you go:

We are really avid snorkelers so something like this would never interest us. We like to be down in the water with the animals. :D
Maybe you could find a private snorkeling tour? Good luck!

I'm researching Freeport right now for our upcoming cruise, one of these tours may work for you:

how much is it to ride the double decker bus ? Do you catch it at the end of the area the shuttle bus drops you off at? We have been tp progresso 5x and never rode that silly thing. Thought it was time to do it.
I think it's $5 per person now. I don't know about where you get on, I wouldn't be surprised if it was at the shuttle drop off.

Do you or anyone else know how much the cab fare is to Playa Mia? There are 6 of us all together (3 adults, 10 yo DS, 2 2yo DD).
I'm trying to decide which is cheaper, to arrange our own transportation or buy it though www.cozumel-watersports.com/
For 5 it was $21. They charge for everyone, also make sure to agree to the posted rate before you drive off. The price is posted on a sign, but they'll try to get more $ if they think you don't know the posted amount.

Is there a way to find which comics will be performing on your upcoming cruise?
You're in luck if Percy Crews 2 is performing, he was very funny and did a different act every time. Christine Steadman repeated the same stuff over and over, we were disappointed with her.

We did not, but I've seen William Lawson mentioned. Trip advisor seems to have quite a few reviews. If you google it a link will come up, it's apparently censored here.

We did the beach, but my in-laws took a tour to chichen itza, they loved it.
Recently this World Heritage site was accorded another honor. In a worldwide vote Chichén Itzá was named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World.

Autoprogresso runs the shuttle at the pier and before letting us off the bus, they gave a rundown of their tours and the drop off is the bus station.

Does this $10 pp minimum include children? I have a picky 5 year old that would never eat and drink $10 while there.
The website says it doesn't apply to 6 and under.

We've been to paradise beach, the food was good, no issues. I believe their website use to say that the water was filtered/bottled, I don't recall exactly. I just checked, but I don't see it now. You can always ask first to be sure before ordering.

I was just wondering if you requested for the crib mattress to be in your room prior to cruising or once you were onboard. I will be cruising in less than two weeks with my 2.5 year old son. I don't mind him sleeping with us on the bed but I'm afraid he won't want to sleep on his own once we get back home. Did you place the crib mattress beside your bed or at the foot of the bed?
When we got on board, I asked the room steward to just bring the mattress from the crib. He seemed a little confused and said he'd talk to his supervisor. When we came back to the room, it was in there. I knew if I got the whole crib, she'd just climb right out.
We set it up near the foot of the bed, but to the side. That way we could see her easily. Most nights she crawled in bed with us at some point. Thankfully, she had no issues going back to normal once we got home.
