When we were on they played PG rated movies in the evening and showed them a 6 & 8.

I asked why R rated during the day and PG at night.   They said more families watched in the evening.  I guess they didn't go up during the afternoon to see the kids up there.

1132 is1 cabin down from the exterior stairway down to the Sunset Bar and Oceanview.  Very convenient but often folks making a drink run let the door slam behind them.

We like the middle 3 of the 5 aft facing cabins on deck 11. The balconies are huge and they are buffered from the slamming door.  If we can't get one of them we would move farther forward nearer 1104-1110.

Excellent information. The aft cabins are sold out that location was our first choice .

There can be noise issues from the movies on Deck 12.  We were on the Summit in 1141 after the addition of the movies and the revolutionizing.  The cabin was lovely however the door to the balcony would only open occasionally.  The cabin attendant said it had been that way for months and he had not been successful in getting it permanently corrected.  Maintenance guy said it breaks a lot.   In our case it was stuck closed for 2 days then miraculously it worked again.

The noise is noticeable when you are on the balcony,  inside the cabin it is not as noticeable depending on the film being shown.  When we were on the Summit one of the movies was A Star is Born and it was shown at 12, 2, &4  we could hear it clearly on the balcony and when the film was at the point of a concert we could hear it inside.

Thank you 🙏🏻  big help with information. Just what I needed to know . 😀
Do you recall how late they played movies until ? During the day it’s breakfast on the balcony then out by pool or exploring.  Worried  about the bright lights . We live in the country  it’s dark and peaceful evenings here .

  3. Requesting information on cabin 1132 on the Celebrity Summit . The new outdoor  movie screen & seating appears to be directly above our cabin choice  . I've been searching video, photos and reviews for more information. So far not able to locate answer .Does anyone have experience with staying in this area in reference to how much light and sounds invade the balcony & cabin ?. If anyone has pictures of this cabin can you share them please .

Thanking CC community in advance for sharing knowledge 😀

  4. In 17 cruises only booked an inside once . This was done due to being a Sunday standing on Castle island watching a HA ship sail by.  We decided to try and book the next cruise HA  leaving  that Friday doing Canada & bring us home to Boston .Only 1 room remained an INSIDE. I was a little apprehensive. We both had the best most restful sleeping . However after the recent quarantines on cruise ships I'll never book an inside again .

  5. Last year we had cabin 1610. Large balcony , nice room placement near elevators. Zero noise from above as the full moon party was moved inside for  due to rain . Thank goodness. This year 12/2019 we stayed in 1549 . Window washer equipment was a none issue. Balcony was in total shade due to overhang & noise from above was early in am chairs dragging .

We sailed during Super Bowl on Edge in February and they showed it on the roof top screen(drinks only but also in  the theatre with full barbeque-type foods along with drink service).  Great time, great viewing(although no ads which could be good for some), good food and drink.  We would have done it again this year out of Ft. Lauderdale but the SB is there so prices for hotels, etc. were tough to get prior to cruise and too expensive.

We really lucked out.  On the Edge and a Patriots win.

     Patriots Win 😀👍

Well from drop off at 10:30 via taxi ($8.75 cost) to walking on the ship it was a total of about 35 minutes. Check in was a breeze. Security took about 5 minutes and customs took a little bit longer just waiting for an open machine but very smooth and efficient overall.

We grabbed our room keys and we are currently sitting at the Sunset bar with our first drink on board.

The daily lists the bar as closed till 5:00pm ?. How was this cocktail obtained ? Speacial powers 😎

I have been a ghost reading all your reviews . Enjoy reading a fun but factually backed up review.

Has anyone used that site to book?

Yes have used when booking past 10 cruises . Good prices just review every document . Unfortunately our agent has made many errors on our last 2 bookings online . The good news is they honored ther price mistakes in our favor . The agent before her was a snob . Other 7 agents no problems .

Go from Tortola. If you go from St. Thomas, you have to first clear immigration  before you can get to the good par tof Jost (White Bay). On the way back  you have to go to  St. John to clear customs. Passports are required.

If you go from  Tortola, since you never leave  the BVI, you just cruise to White Bay.

    Thank you excellent tip !

  11. Hello all 😀Ports of call in both St Thomas and Tortola. Would like to visit by group charter catamaran/sail /boat .We are a group of 4 adults. Which location would you recommend booking excursion from ?.  Any thoughts on JVD / White bay ?.Do not wish to book with cruise ship and not able to do a private charter.

  12. Unfortunately I have Meniere's dz. Our last cruise I did have two attacks . The first was when the boat was docked . We went to Blu for breakfast. The humming/ rumble of engine along with the visual stimulation of the chandelier moving was way to much . Had attack that lasted over 4 hours . I missed going on shark tour . My advice to you is be careful when choosing seats. The sea movements did not seem to bother me & fresh air helps.Good luck . Hope you are able to fully enjoy your cruise.
