  1. I am happy to report that while the cauldron in my belly continues to bubble, no you-know-what. Sea Day, time to keep giving back to the casino. No sea-day brunches yet which seems weird and I want my seaday brunch free drink. I asked what's up at breakfast and server said brunch will be day after Grand Turk. Jack's Shack not the same without Topher. Down about $600 in casino. I'm going down there to get my money back! I'll scare them with my stomach sounds!
  2. For dinner I had the pork ribs and mussels. Ribs and beans were pretty good as usual. Mussels tasted a little off so I pushed them aside after eating 5 or so. Which may have been too late. Cuz now my stomach is bubblin' and troublin'.
  3. I just watched Arvin Mitchell's R comedy show. It was funny, pretty good.
  4. Ceviche 91, but you can see on the menu (prices are in Netherland Guilders, so my 50 octopus was about $27).
  5. Really great Peruvian and Japanese menu, and easy walking distance to the ship, top level of the stone fort.
  6. Curacao today. I just walked around but that's fine because I love walking around Willemstad. Had beautiful charcoal charred octopus with potatoes that were described as baked, then fried in olive oil. Excellent dish and the view was great from the restaurant.
  7. I think the promo was from a "top contributor" email I got after a land only trip. One use only, $5 off some minimum purchase. There were only 3 cruise people on the Van, the rest were from hotels. About halfway through the excursion Farley asked the 3 of us if 6pm dropoff at the port was ok for a detour and a little extra time at Baby Beach. We said yes. We were picked up at the cruise port entrance at 10am so I count 8 hours. Good thing is cruisers get picked up last but dropped off first.
  8. No, if you're actively eating, or drinking they'll give you a ticket to hand to Big Mama who is guarding the stinkrooms... assuming you make it through the gauntlet.
  9. The restrooms cost $1 and you have to walk the boa constrictor jungle gauntlet to get there. And they really, really stunk.
  10. Naked chicken wings with mango-habanero sauce were fantastic at Big Mama's on Baby Beach!
  11. Citizens are told to cut the heads off any boa constrictors they see because they're decreasing the wildlife population like the wild donkeys.
  12. These pics were taken from an elevated spot that starts with the letter "c" kinda south- west part of island. See Carnival Legend in the distance, the homes and saguaro...
  13. Mango trees. You can see green mangoes on the trees to the right. and ripe ones on the tree to the left.
  14. The old gold mine. You can see coral in the foreground and lava in the distance near the gold mine. The volcano filled so thick with magma it lifted the coral from the sea floor and what was once ocean is now dry land.
  15. Atlantic is always angry on the mid-east side of the island, and if you go too close to the edge at the shoreline it could collapse said Farley.
  16. Next was Natural Bridge, which collapsed some years ago yet they still try to make it a tourist attraction. Here you see a photo I took of it today, plus a photo of a photo I took in the gift store. If it was still a bridge I think it would be fun
  17. Next was the chapel with the Legend of the baby with cancer who was mysteriously cured when some liquid fell on her from the chapel roof even though no rain. At least I think that's what Farley was saying. For me this was the only dud stop on the tour, except for the DOGGIES!
