I'm really interested in any ideas people can offer for our day in Kumamoto. I now understand that the castle is pretty far from the port and in need of repairs. Anyone have any experience with other sights in Kumamoto?

We will have a day in Kumamoto. I am looking for a tour company and suggestions for places of interest. How far is Kumamoto Castle from the cruise port? Has anyone had experience with the transportation? Is it doable on your own? I will be grateful for any information.

I have dine this at least 3 times and, yes, it works great for awhile. This is why I have had to do it 3 times. This is a Cruise Critic problem and they need to fix it.

It has happened to me several times, the last being yesterday. I cleared the history and it’s good for a week. I think Cruise Critic should fix this because it is definitely their website. It only happens there.

Has anyone had any experience using goodwill guides in Japan. Also, I understand that you don’t tip them, but bring a small gift instead. Ideas?

I will be sailing on the Ovation in May in a Studio Balcony and in February, 2019 on the Adventure in a new studio, inside.

Fukuoka is be our first stop when we leave on the Ovation in May. Does anyone have experience to say what the top thing to see might be. I believe there are 3 different castles (2 appear to be a bit far). I am open to taking the ship excursion, but which one? I believe the castles are Kokura or Karatsu. I’d be great full for any input.Thank you.

I will be in Hong Kong fir 5 days in May before our cruise. Am I to understand that the cost of 2 people on a HoHo bus is not cost effective when compared to using the MTR and taxis?

I am booked in a studio balcony on the Ovation and also a studio inside on the Adventure (category 2W).

I really don't understand why parents would be so anxious for their 18 year old to experience the joys of alcohol. It is not as though you want them to have this positive experience. They will try it soon enough. Settle down!

I️ have been on one of each, but was most impressed with the quality of the dining room food on Carnival. It was way better than my RCL food. RCL used a lot of dark meat chicken on their buffet also.

Thank you very much for your response. It appears that I coukd get a good rate at the Salisbury without breakfast, but it jumps to $40. More per night per person if I include breakfast. Can anyone tell me what the charge at the Salisbury is for the buffet breakfast if we should wait till we get there?

Which Hing Kong terminal does RCL Ovation use?

RCL Ovations, 5/16/18, 9 night rt Hong Kong, Studio Balcony $1245.

I am planning a cruise (probably Caribbean) for 10/17. A couple of us would prefer Solo. How many months ahead should we look for them to be popping up?

I phoned them and they gave me the"Carnival Rate." I had 2 rooms. One was 119 and the other was 139. It was very nice and a great value. They have the most fabulous chocolate chip cookies and great service with their shuttle to and from the port. When we arrived back I phoned to be picked up and it seemed like 5 or 10 minutes until he came. I've read posts about Hotel Maya complaining that it is dated. It is older, but clean. Parking at the port would have been 120. for the week. They had good customer service and I was pleased.

I will be on the Miracle in 5 days and am curious if anyone is just off and and tell about the decor for the holidays.
