  1. You have the right to your own opinion. Summer cruises can be a little rough around the edges. Ships more crowded and longer lines. Hope your next cruise meets your expectations.

Due to what you have stated, I never sailed during the Summer and opt for the after Spring Break and the early Fall when. I can only imagine how crowded the ships are during the Summer months.

  2. Last cruise we were in the Haven and enjoyed the many perks. Daily snacks, Free movies, SDP, UBP, priority check in, priority tendering and pool side food and drink service, Haven restaurant were all good for us. However, on our next cruise were sailing in an inside cabin which was included from a Land Casino offer. As long as were cruising I'm good!

We wanted to return to the Haven next year but also noticed how much it has gone up. I have the memories and were out priced on staying there again.

  3. Cruise ships typically don't have scads of seafood...just the basic stuff...shrimp, lobster tail (usually), salmon and some other sort of fish. All are "previously frozen" as is most seafood in the USA. Seems odd that while you're cruising thru where "seafood" lives, that you can't get "fresh"...but that's the way it is!

    Yes, go figure! LOL!

  4. No restaurant that specializes in seafood on the Escape... you certainly can get seafood in various main dining room's as well as Cagney's , Le Bistro and food republic ...but no specific seafood restaurant...like Ocean Blue on the Getaway

    Thanks for your reply.

We sailed the Getaway last year and I was hoping that Ocean Blue was on the Escape. There are still good options with our UDP :).

  5. Actually, in Jan of this year, the T&Cs for UBP is back to 1 drink per transaction and this was done in part to combat theft

You are correct. Even while staying in the Haven, the bartender would only allow me one drink at a time. He winked at me and told me to come back in 15 minutes to get another. I felt a little uncomfortable because I like to follow the rules. I realized that I had the UDP so I took wink and went back. No harm no fowl.
