Very nice review! Stayed in the Haven last October and it was a wonderful experience.
-
She needs to contact Carnival and inquire about canceling since she has insurance.
-
I stayed in the Haven on the Getaway and getting drinks was not a problem at all. The Haven had it's own bar and waiter service while lounging in the Courtyard.
-
No. There is a limited amount of counter space as it is.

I agree. Room service can bring me coffee in the morning.

My sister-in-law said that everyone understood and was concerned for the sick passenger. She said the Coast Guard escorted them to Mobile and Carnival was amazing to everyone.

Here is one of many news sites. http://www.fox10tv.com/story/36166928/carnival-fantasy-cruise-ship-returning-to-port
Thank You!

You say the cruise is cancelled, stating it as fact. Exactly where is this fact coming from?
It was breaking live news on another social media site and I watched it live.. Check out Mobile AL Breaking News.
-
The cruise began today and never made it all the way out to sea. The passengers can spend the rest of their cruise dates on the ship at the port of Mobile, AL.
-
Sick Passenger on the Fantasy caused the ship to return to Mobile port. The ship never made it all the way out to sea. Hope he gets better soon.
Carnival is giving their guest the option to stay on the ship and get a full refund or stay on the ship. They will refund 50% and give them 50% off their next cruise.

You have the right to your own opinion. Summer cruises can be a little rough around the edges. Ships more crowded and longer lines. Hope your next cruise meets your expectations.
Due to what you have stated, I never sailed during the Summer and opt for the after Spring Break and the early Fall when. I can only imagine how crowded the ships are during the Summer months.

Sorry this happened to you. Hope things work out okay for you in the end.

Thank you for your review. Sailing on the Pride in November from my home port. We usually fly to Miami and it will be a nice change to drive one hour and get our vehicle and go straight home.
I want to sail to Bermuda but no one I know will go with me!

Enjoying your review.

You have a beautiful family.
Thank you for sharing your experience. Sailing on the Escape 10/28 to celebrate my Sister's Birthday.
Can't wait continue to reading more about the adventures.

Last cruise we were in the Haven and enjoyed the many perks. Daily snacks, Free movies, SDP, UBP, priority check in, priority tendering and pool side food and drink service, Haven restaurant were all good for us. However, on our next cruise were sailing in an inside cabin which was included from a Land Casino offer. As long as were cruising I'm good!
We wanted to return to the Haven next year but also noticed how much it has gone up. I have the memories and were out priced on staying there again.

Cruise ships typically don't have scads of seafood...just the basic stuff...shrimp, lobster tail (usually), salmon and some other sort of fish. All are "previously frozen" as is most seafood in the USA. Seems odd that while you're cruising thru where "seafood" lives, that you can't get "fresh"...but that's the way it is!
Yes, go figure! LOL!

No restaurant that specializes in seafood on the Escape... you certainly can get seafood in various main dining room's as well as Cagney's , Le Bistro and food republic ...but no specific seafood restaurant...like Ocean Blue on the Getaway
Thanks for your reply.
We sailed the Getaway last year and I was hoping that Ocean Blue was on the Escape. There are still good options with our UDP :).
-
I searched NCL's website high and low for seafood restaurants on the Escape and was wondering if anyone knows if it exists on this ship?

Actually, in Jan of this year, the T&Cs for UBP is back to 1 drink per transaction and this was done in part to combat theft

You are correct. Even while staying in the Haven, the bartender would only allow me one drink at a time. He winked at me and told me to come back in 15 minutes to get another. I felt a little uncomfortable because I like to follow the rules. I realized that I had the UDP so I took wink and went back. No harm no fowl.

Does anyone know the port day prices for a massage? I considered booking in advance so I can get the time I want. I found that booking on the days the specials were offered, the time slots did not fit my needs. TIA
