We scheduled an excursion to see the city by bus and water on our B2B. When we returned we went in through another entrance. Put our bags through security and returned to our cabin to drop off packages. Then to the buffet for lunch while the others were boarding. We were on a HAL ship in Ft. Lauderdale.

I made one on a cruise and use it all the time. Beads, cord tied before and after each bead, clip on bottom and tied in a knot at the top. Looks semi dressy so it goes good at dinner.

About mid way down the ship, it bulges out. This is referred to as the hump. The cabins there have larger balconies because of the hump, which makes them desirable!

What is a hump cabin?

AC 9050 on the Constellation. The pool/pool deck was above so the balcony was always shaded. Some noise, but it stopped before 8pm. Very quiet. Close to the forward elevators and stairs.

We were on the Constellation last week and they had Zumba by the pool. At least one morning. I don't think there was a fee.

First cruise was 2011 to Alaska on the Zuiderdam. My retirement present to myself. We have cruised each year since. Hooked is putting it mildly.:)

What kind/type of shops are on the TMM International pier in Cozumel. Trying to work out the schedule for that stop.

I've read where you can get the ship to send your luggage to the airport and then on to your home airport for pick-up when your plane arrives. There is a fee, I know, but do you know if this can be done on the Connie from a 5 day cruise? Have an 11:40 flight from FLL.

A little hijack to the thread, but how did they get a free cruise?

We did Dolphinaris last year, lots of fun for around $105 each with HAL. Doing Chankanaab this month for same price. Booked through Celebrity. When you say you saved a bunch of money, how much per person did you save?

I had booked a Veranda room and was upgraded for free to Aqua. Thank you all for your posts. I am excited for my first cruise on Celebrity. We will see how it compares to HAL, my favorite.

What is the name of the cab company that is waiting at the boat terminal? One of us has an 11:40 flight and we want to call to have a cab waiting.

From the airport to hotel is about $15 for the cab. At $6pp, that will be a shared shuttle. You will wait for it to fill, and drop off at other locations.

 

From hotel to ship will be from under $10 for taxi to just over $10, depending on what terminal you are at.

 

From ship to airport is $14-15 for the taxi, so a little over half the price of your shuttle.

 

All prices are before tip. Again, all this info is commonly discussed on the Florida Departures board.

Yes, we are staying at the Hilton Marina. They say it's $6 per person from the airport. $12 each from dock to airport. Just checking other options.

Has anyone used this service. We will need transportation to the hotel, from the hotel to the dock and then from the dock to the airport. Want to have it waiting when we get off the ship. Thank you in advance.
