My family is seeing the same thing for our May 25th sailing.  I have a family of 5 with 3 kids so not sure how to split up.

Just talk to the maitre d' on the first day of your cruise. I'm sure they'll have seating for you.

Don't know if anyone can help me, but has anyone had any luck bidding for an upgrade on the Sun Princess? I've checked the site and it says I'm not eligible. I don't know if it's an issue with the app or if upgrades simply aren' t open.

    Any guidance would be great

Princess website lists how far out you are allowed to bid for an upgrade. It might not be open for your departure yet.

  3. In the Medallion App, I can see my count down (414 days for me!), my travel companions, and the port guides. But other sections (the most important one being Personal Information & Documents) don't load. Explore the ship doesn't list Sun Princess yet. I'm sure it will all be added before the maiden voyage.

  4. I've been following the discussion since we booked a cruise next June on Sun Princess. Thank you @didesfor the great photographs and the links to articles. The Points Guy mentions that the different levels of the Main Dining Room will reflect different levels of formality. I can imagine choosing more formal when I don't care about the evening production and want to enjoy a slower paced meal and the less formal option when I have plans for the evening but still like the dining choices in the MDR. If they manage it right, I think it would produce happy diners all around.

  5. We were on the Caribbean Princess Jan 2-9 and we got a card in our cabin with a date and time for our dinner but we could easily change that to what we wanted. We were disappointed that the advertised venue Planks was non-functional on the Caribbean.

  6. We sailed with my eleven year old and fifteen year old boys and they both loved the different kids areas. There is another area for those younger than eight and it also looked well attended. The counselors were great in Shockwaves, I didn't interact with the ones in Remix. My son did the extra trip to the bakery to decorate a cake, which was fun. After the cakes were decorated, they took the kids to Princess Live where the head chef presented them with certificates and took a picture with them during a cooking demonstration. They sent the cake to the room in the afternoon--it didn't last long!

My older son appreciated socializing with kids his own age. There is a hot tub just for teenagers in their area, a foosball table, guitar hero and lots of couches for hanging out. Both areas had books the kids could borrow for the week. The areas close for lunch and dinner. My younger son got so he didn't want to eat with us, preferring a quick slice of pizza on the pool deck so he could get back to his friends. They both want to go on another cruise with Princess next February vacation.
