    Hey guys!

My cruise leaves in 3 days. My son has a Amazon kids tablet. Will we be able to connect him to the ships wifi to download anything while on the ship?

I remember having to go through the app on my phone to connect to the internet. At least I think that was my princess cruise 🤣

If he can connect, he'll likely be limited on what he can do. The Amazon tablets aren't very friendly with anything that isn't Amazon.

and I'm not sure we would sail if traditional was all that was offered in the mdr.  Hated it the one time we had it on The Big Red Boat - seated with another family - yuck - just not me at all...

It won't be TD on the whole ship, just one MDR (or less depending on how many sign up).

We've had some tablemates who were great and some...not so much.

My most unfavorite was when we got stuck at a table for 8 (even tho' we requested 4). The man sitting next to me was never taught table manners. He chewed with his mouth open, talked with his mouth full of food, dropped some bread on the floor and put it on his plate with a scoop of salad dressing and ate it... there was more. We requested to be reassigned and never saw him again. Altho' we did get some "where did you disappear to" looks from some of the other people who had been at the table.

About 3 weeks prior to my early April cruise on Discovery received an email with a digital version of the coupons that I believe are something Princess provides to TAs. They also included the option to print the coupons to bring on the cruise.

Click on this PDF to see the printable version.

    Shipwide_Savings_2024_BW_version.pdf 1.36 MB · 59 downloads

Not much there...looks like most of the coupons are just to get you to spend more $$ on things you don't need.

I miss the coupon for a BOGO (or 1/2 off one dinner?) that was available for specialty restaurants and a BIG bottle of water, IF you dined in a specialty restaurant. We combine them with one meal time in Crown Grill.

Thanks everyone for the comments and the buffet suggestion -- not a bad idea.

We will be sailing after the change back to traditional dining and I'm going to try to get all our family on the same dining rotation. So maybe MDR service will improve? I'm curious to see how that works.

It used to work quite well. I hated the Anytime/Anywhere that they foisted on us. I've always been a fan of TD.

Thank you! We don’t know which ship we’ll be on yet as we haven’t chosen our sailing, just trying to plan our budget and decide if this add on is something we want to do.

Keep in mind that you have to make your reservation on boarding day. If it's a warm weather cruise with other legs (i.e. B2B for some cruisers) or you aren't on the ship first thing...there may not be any spaces available by the time you get to the Sanctuary to make your reservation.

Go to GS and they can refund the $10 if you paid for it pre cruise.

Even if they had shipping included in Plus/Premier, they could still get the $10 refund.

The blue line has only been another 5 mins than the Green on the cruises we’ve been on lately.  YMMV

On our last cruise we opted for pick-up...big mistake. It was almost an hour in a really, really long line. The Green lane folks were walking on (no line at all).

    See Above.

    To get online?

    Turn on airplane mode

    Look for Princess setting

    And then what?

The directions are usually (always?) on the first page of the first day's Patter. It should be in your cabin when you arrive. If no Patter is in the cabin, go to Passenger Svcs and ask for one.

Do I interpret your post seriously or was it a joke.  You actually showed the steward a print-out of all the suite benefits that you expected to get and because you did not get 100% of them you did not tip him.  Please tell me that you were joking.

    DON

It wasn't just the suite benefits that resulted in no EXTRA tip. He was the worst steward we had ever had in 25+ cruises (and that's saying something).

Why should I have to fight to get the benefits that were on the list? If I hadn't had the list with me, we would have not got any of the benefits.

    Hello all,

We have two cruises with Princess, one this year on the Majestic to try it out, and one next year on the Regal.

Question about the balconies. They seem very small in comparison to other lines. Wanting the largest one at a great value. On the Regal which one is better 407 currently booked, or 410? By looking at the deck plans they seem similar, but 407 has the pointed part. Does anyone have a photo of either? Looked at the video online site, and searches on the internet. Thoughts on past stays?

I've booked deck 8 on both cruises based on post read her on CC.

    Did you look at "cruisedeckplans.com"?

What did you not receive?  We are in a Penthouse suite on the Crown.  I'm just curious what to expect.

Had to ask for the water, the flowers (never did get any), the extra mini-bar (we're Elite), suite breakfast door hanger, the fruit basket...the list goes on.

I literally had to show the steward the list for each item. IIRC the only thing we didn't get was the flowers, but it was like pulling teeth without anesthetic.

So they blame it on a computer glitch, and everyone knows their IT department is so screwed up that there is nothing anyone can do about it.  😒

NCL has found a different way of making sure all OBC refundable and non-refundable is spent on the ship. They do rightly use the non-refundable first, but then instead of mailing a check afterwards require the passenger with refundable OBC to come and get it refunded before leaving the ship.

Princess used to allow that, but it wasn't required. Then they changed the policy to refund at cust. svcs. for OBC that was $25 or less.

We are interested in trying to get signed up for the Chef's Table.  We have cruised with Princess many times and somehow never noticed or inquired about it.  Thanks to all that brought it to our attention & we will be looking to sign up as soon as we get on the ship this time.  My question is ...... if we are doing a 58 day cruise with three legs, do we have to resign up each leg if we are not able to get an invitation the first leg?

Probably. Each cruise is separate and has different passengers.

I don't go to the casino, but someone on another thread posted that there is a "convenience fee" if you cash out to cash, rather than just letting the statement settle everything out at the end of the cruise.  Is this true?

NO! If you keep an open account in the casino on the last day of the cruise the $$ in the account is gone.

Some report that they got a call to close out the account, but don't "bank" on it.
